So I haven't gotten an answer yet about the flashing chunks, and I forgot to mention I'm on a mac, I dont know if that has anything to do with it, but thought id mention it anyway. I tried the latest 1.6.6_C, the flashing chunks were still occurring, then I noticed there was 1.6.6_A for Mac osx and it still continued happening. I tried both optimine and optifog on their own, and optimine seems to run the best, but then minecraft will crash whenever i try to select the video options. If anyone has anything to suggest thatd be awesome

I have only seen flashing chunks with bad (old) graphic drivers and "Advanced OpenGL" turned on.
Hi, for some reason whenever I click Advanced OpenGL, it crashes the game. It really helps make the game run faster for me. I have MCPatcher just for custom water/watches/etc (so I installed without jf.class) and Single Player Commands.
Is this because of MCPatcher? Even if it isn't, I still hope someday it is MCPatcher compatible so I can use mipmapping.

Well, I guess I need to put something original here...
Oh my. It took me a while with optifog+optimine to get the right settings but when I did I finally hit 90 fps without looking at the sky. Thank you for this mod <3
I.... I have never seen minecraft.... SO BEAUTIFUL!!! T_T You, my friend. Have saved me from countless deaths by creepers. Caused by lag! YOU ARE A SAVIOR!

Damn you're lucky... I'm still forced to stay in Fast/Normal/Smooth Lighting even with Optifog.
I installed the Optifog+Optimine 1.6.6_C and when I try to change AdvancedOpenGL, everything disappears leaving just the dirt background for a few seconds before going completely black. Any ideas?
Awesome! You're the best. Love the quick replies. :happy.gif:

It allows me to Host a server and record without my minecraft lagging :biggrin.gif:
it's a laptop. i get 30fps avg on far and fast, but it lags when it rains. i would love to play on far and fancy. but this changes nothing.
Yes, just try it.
what are your settings?!
Fog: Far
Smooth Lighting
AdvancedGL On
Performance: Max FPS
Graphics: Fancy
Bobbing On
Once again.... BEAUTIFUL!
What about optifog settings? or are you just using optimine?
Just optimine.
I cannot imagine what amazing things would happen if I fused optimine and optifog together!
Things start to get laggy once I go to bed and then wake up... Guess that just the game processing all the chunks im guessing?

/edit/ Using 1.6.6_B has the same effect.
