riddlin, your car analogy doesn't work. The only way you are getting your car fixed is paying.
Donations give you a choice. Regardless if you donate or not, hes going to update the mod. You're just paying him out of kindness. He doesn't have to do this you know.

Could anyone put the link up for the new optimine? The link I googled is outdated and the link on that page to the new version is broken :tongue.gif:
lol yes you are your paying for the mod to be serviced why else would you pay?

1. The act of giving to a fund or cause.
2. A gift or grant.
In donating money you are giving a gift to help the mod along. You are NOT paying the programmers of the mod to take time out of their lives to work for you.
If it were me, and it came to a choice between living inside and putting food on the table, and programming a mod for little to no profit, and getting nothing in return... I'm going to pick living inside every time.
This mod is a gift to the Minecraft community, not a service, and should not be treated as such.
Yo dude, just wanted to say, thanks a lot for updating, I'm sure many people appreciate it.
Maybe OptiFog will make a greater difference, KIU :smile.gif:
Although it doesn't do much for me, not that it ever has, I was just wondering if you updated from the original authors last update or the one by 303?

I ported the original 1.3 version, better to use the source.
Thank you so much for updating Optimine. Before I had 40 fps average. And once I installed Optimine, I now have 76 fps!
fo-forty fps???? :blink.gif: I get like 22 FPS tops with short distance on and fast graphics!(though after having that fps for so long it actually feels like above 10 fps is pretty smooth)I hate intel integrated graphics; i wish i had an nvidia graphics card or some computer like yours btw thats my fps wihtout optimine + optifog
whenever u merge the two mods, can u make some way so that u can have both hd texture fix + bettergrass without having to giv up some of the optimization classes?
What are the fastest possible settings when using optifog and optimine!?
I'm not getting any responses!
That's because there's isn't one answer, there's many many different setting for everyone's computer. No one person has the same exact setup.
I myself use optimine, and optifog, but I get only like 2-5 FPS when using 16x16 textures, so I have to use MCPatcher, and 32x32 or bigger textures for minecraft to actually work. Strange, yes. But it works. I get about 60+FPS with Optimine+Optifog+MCPatcher and DokuCraft 32x32.

My computer is very slow and I'm using 1.5 still.

This sounds good.
Have you considered being an official speaker for the modding community? ;-)

I can't seem to find any mods that you have made...so how could you know anything in any way about updating a mod?
Ontopic: I love optifog!! Optifog all the way!! optimine doesn't help nearly as much but i'm glad you are updating that too.
