Minecraft: 1.7.3 - Clean install, no other mods.
Optifine HD_F 1.7.3
I see zero difference in average FPS in the same areas. I tried up high on a tower, I tried on the ground with not much around, no difference between vanilla MC and Optifine.
After seeing no difference I also tried deleting the majong files in meta-inf but it still made no difference.
FPS wasn't terrible before (70 - 30 FPS0 but was hoping for some kind of magical fix to make the engine give me 90 FPS all the time.
Try using optifine. It should help a lot. Not just the HD_F 1.7.3 One
A friend of mine and myself are having troubles with Optifine, especially in Multiplayer. (I have been using Optifog for a while alongside Optimine for a while before this, and I really enjoy Optifine) Every 15 minutes or so, our games crash occasionally. I don't know what he gets, but for me, Minecraft just closes and a popup comes up that says, "Java SE Binary has stopped working" or something like that. I'm running Windows Vista, and I have Java Version 6 Update 26.
I was looking to be sure I had the latest version of Optifine. I did have Optifine 1.7.3_HD_F installed (Latest version at this time). So I decided while I was here I'd try the MTL version. Now when I run Minecraft, and try to load up a world or log on to Multiplayer, I get this error:
(Yes I know I have a lot of mods.)
Also, here is a snippet of the cmd's output, near the end, after registering all the textures.
It says Class not found LightCache, which is why I thought to post that bit as well. I did install all the classes properly as I have in the past, but you should note that I installed it over top of the regular, non-MTL version of Optifine 1.7.3_HD_F.
If you need more information or you already know how to solve this problem, you can find me on IRC on EsperNet, you can usually find me in #risucraft. (/whois me to make sure I'm online in case (for some crazy reason) I'm on the network but not in #risucraft.) It's ok to ping me a couple times, I don't get anal about that stuff. Or you could of course reply to this post, but I would prefer IRC better.
why are you using mcpatcher? optifine has all the same stuff as mcpatcher, even better grass
I don't see a link for a plain Optifine 1.7.3, only an Optimine 1.7.3.
Oh, I meant optimine first. :tongue.gif:
When I have fancy enabled with this mod, I cannot see water. Does anyone else have this problem or have you found a solution? The CCTV mod and/or the slopes mod caused the issue.
because its not working and I have searched for incompatibility and didnt find anything and my modloader.txt has been reset
I am using optifine_HD_F
should I get rid of the mcpatcher stuff
OK, first, if you couldn't figure out the .bat, a custom launcher is basically a .bat. Also NEVER put please reply. It makes people annoyed.
Ok, it should be compatible, so it is probably mcpatcher. If you checked better grass, that is probably it, because it already has better grass in the mod.
note to everybody dont use mcpatcher with this it just makes it complicated
and if you have never tried dont use mcpatcher to install mods especially when you have mods it wipes minecraft.jar clean of mods
People still use it for installing other mods and leaving those three options unchecked so it doesn't install the MCPatcher versions. Just like in the picture that was provided.

Ah... I personally don't like it, but it is all a matter of prefrence...
But yeah.
Dont check any of the default 3 boxes.
The MT version is currently limited to 10 updates per frame. It could probably do more.
I have not tested how it behaves at higher loads.
Hmmm, could you maybe make it so it dynamically adjusts the number of updates per frame based on something like a percentage of how much memory is free on average over the last few seconds? It seems to me that could be very beneficial if you could have a few values do something like that. So, that way, it'd be constantly adjusting for the best performance.

when i play online it looks like im having earthquakes (minecraft shakes NOT MY COMPUTER) i did change alot of settings to get the best fps for me (tho the "earthquakes" only happen when im on the build world no other worlds get effected by this.
Is there something ive done wrong? i installed modloader first then this and then inventory tweaks (in which i made sure it was compatable)
so any tips? what should i change etc?

Mcpatcher also acts as a mod patch program which basically installs mods automatically by deleting meta-inf, creating a backup of minecraft.jar and informs you of any issues while patching like mods using the same .class files. And as you can see he unchecked the hd textures feature of the mod.
I don't use the mcpatcher's mod installation feature because I prefer manually installing mods and sometimes mcpatcher shows an incompatibility where there really is none, such as when optifine overwrites one of modloader's class files (I can't remember which) making them compatible
