Oh the borehole quest... are you SURE you finished that quest? It can be a little finicky.
None of the Teenage girls in my japanese village will do anything. When I walk up to them the only thing that appears is the text box with their name. I am also being spammed with errors regarding all the Teenage girls, when I checked the millenaire log I found it crammed with this error message: 4.1.0 26-01-2013 16:41:38 ERROR: Ludvig Bernhard/japanese_farmer/japanese_farmer//graphics/mob/japanese/japanese_Farmer0.png/5964818479041847161: Could not find villager type japanese_farmer in culture norman

Does anyone know how to fix this without ruining the world or any villages?
I have. There are two parts that seem like they might be relevant to my problem: How Can I Remove My Millenaire Town? and Why are children not spawning?. I have tried the first; it did not remove my town. I completely uninstalled Millenaire, destroyed the entire town (every single block, and filled in the holes), reinstalled the most recent version of Millenaire, and now all the villagers are praying where the church used to be. I had the forethought to do it in a duplicate world, though, so I can give it another shot. The second doesn't really apply to me; that's not the issue I'm having. Is there another FAQ that I'm supposed to consult?

May the Force be with you. Unless you're a troll, in which case, may the farce be with you.

I was talking about the second one, give that a go.
Dig a hole three blocks deep one square out of town, jump in it, fill the block above your head, and leave your computer for many hours, many.
Confirming an earlier post about the Byzantine Church village not recognizing buildings. I generated an Orthodox village, and up until the workshop, things seemed to be going smoothly, aside from invisible villagers. Then, in the middle of building the workshop, the construction seemed to just completely stop, resulting in an incomplete building.
Then, after quitting out of the game and logging back into see if that would fix the problem, I took a look at the village map.
All the yellow areas are buildings constructed pre-game reset. The one with the rectangular water plot is the farm building that automatically generates when the Orthodox village is created.
I haven't yet confirmed whether or not this is the same case with the other Byzantine villages, or the other cultures in general, but I do recall seeing another person posting about this specific error with the Orthodox earlier in the thread.
I'm guessing there are no ways to resolve the broken builder bug? i've tried about 10 vilages and none of them have made it past 10 buildings before the builder bugs out.

Did you update to the new version? It was supposed to have a fix for that.
Will the ticking problems ever be fixed? It feels like it's impossible to run Millenaire on SMP without a crash every so often.
Is that the "java.util.ConcurrentModificationException" thing? I would like to hear of fixes (official or not) for this. Talk about annoying - spent half the weekend mucking around with Millenaire and crashes (thinking it was a mod combo breaking things) only to find out it's actually Millenaire itself.
Has anyone been able to get any of the Byzantine villages to make Byzantine Tiles? I've tried all three, and tiles never come, so they can't finish building/upgrading.
i was hoping you'd say that
i still have this world, and screenshots
(i built a house near it and a path hoping to find another village,
Also my spawn was near an extreme mountain biome)

My byzantine stratiotike village (population 30+) has stopped expanding because of the lack of byzantine tiles and light wool. Which villagers produces these, and how do I get them to produce them?
For people having issues with Byzantine villages not producing tiles, does your village have a workshop with two villagers in it? And do they have clay?

That's a nasty bug... Anything in your log files?

As I said before, my server runs the most updated Millenaire and I never have this issue.
Try deleting all of the Javas on your computer and reinstalling, then delete everything Minecraft related (except your world file) and reinstall.

felinoel first of all thanks for your reply.Do you work with Kinniken or are you a dev also ? (just curious not meaning to patronise or anything, and as I say thanks again for your reply)
Not really, Kinn is basically the only dev for Millenaire, then there are a few people who have designed cultures for him but anyone can design cultures because Millenaire is extremely customizable.
I have experienced the exception ticking server now for millenaire versions 4, 4.01 and 4.02 and at least 1 other version prior to 4, all had the exception ticking server (theres another error also that persists that mentions "tick" in it.
I have played a new SSP game for about 24 hours played time now and have had the crash about 6 times. In SSP I can just restart so Ive been living with it and Ive been without millenaire for too long, its such a great mod. Now I do have 58 mods installed but when I made a server with just millenaire (no other mods) it crashed like this also.
Now I say 0 other mods, but to acheive a crash being near a millenaire village seems to make the crash mroe frequent. also under heavy load (generating chunks or villages) the crash seems more frequent. So I did have NEI installed (so I could fly and generate chunks/villages). The thing is with 58 mods on the server if you remove millenaire the server runs fine. So I cant state for a fact that millenaire crashes on its own (though I think I have experienced this on 1 server setup), it can take hours to acheive this crash and im fed up of playing for hours on a world in the hope the game doesnt crash, but I can state for a fact that forge 497, mc 1.4.7 NEI 1.4.5 (mod version not mc version) and millenaire 4.0 + do cause this crash repeatedly (Hell I wish that I could say this wasnt happening).
So it could be a clash with NEI or forge 497 (highly unlikely in my opinion for obvious reasons including increment versions of millenaire and forge) or its millenaire. Given Kinnikens post on the forge forums I suspect its millenaire. I had the same issues and test result with MC 1.4.6 and forge 467 (last reccommended forge for MC 1.4.6) and millenaire 4.0+ (or earliest version that worked on 1.4.6 before someone says 4.02 didnt work on mc 1.4.6).
Despite all this of course I know the mod is free, time consuming to develop and I am not making demmands. I am trying to share my experience, learn something new and/or hope that the mod can alleviate/get away from these crashes.
Again the mod is awesome, MC isnt the same without it and thanks for even creating it in the first place.
Are you running anything in the background while playing Minecraft? Maybe try turning off Windows or something, I do that on slower computers.

Is possible to run "Millenaire" + "Minecraft comes alive" mods?
Any other mod to make the villagers / village more interractive and my game more adventurous?
Thanks

I have, i'll test it out in a new world and see how that goes.
I wonder if it's a particular mod conflict that can cause that.
Same result, they couldn't even build one building.

Be sure to post about it in the Bug page so Kinn knows his fix didn't work.
Very odd, so did you report this bug then?

Never is, if you need to place a village in a pre-generated area just use a village wand.
I've updated the FAQ for this just now.

Possibly.
I usually play with the Feed the Beast modpack but there isn't any adventure type mods in that...
