Woot! I was thinking about something like this. and now a throwable light source! I wanted one to throw down tnt holes for effect, yay! ( Gj on the lightstone dust, i always thought it should have glowed!)
Please keep up the good work! I think it's good enough to be implemented into Minecraft like betterlight was, especially if you can sort out the bugs that some people are getting.
I couldn't agree more. This is one of the mods that should really be in the vanilla game.
Great job AtomicStryker, and thanks. :smile.gif:
If I check 'Custom Lava' and 'Custom Water' Dynamic Lights causes the game to black screen on start. However, unchecking those options cause it work great, only problem is I'm stuck with default textures for lava and water and that kind of sucks.
I'm trying to get this to work with the Borderlands texture pack. I've tried both 64 and 128 versions and I can't get it to work, no matter what order it's installed, when I check 'Custom Lava' and 'Custom Water'. I'm not sure what is conflicting here.
So... Is there a way that when you throw the torch , it will Automaticly Place its Self?
Other than that I will try it since I could never get the original to work for some reason.
Maybe that means this will not work eiter.
Maybe IT WILL!

Seems that the mod "Daylight Savings" does not work in conjunction with this mod because of "dt.class". But, I do NOT wan't that mod included in this one at all! NEVER. Why not? Just fix the goddamn filenames to something like "dl_dt.class" or something, so it can never conflict with other mods anymore. And if I would download this now, with all the included mods, I will have some mods slightly duplicated. I don't want that, so I'm not going to download this now too.
The insolent (and ignorant) rage in this statement made me laugh. If it were a little shorter, I would sig it, so people could see the stupidity =D
Heed TehKrush's words. Simply renaming a file would not work. If you don't believe us, try renaming the 'dt.class' in this download to 'dl_dt.class'. I guarantee you, it will not work.
Have a great day =)

You'll be surprised by how few people actually put a bathroom in their house. Where else would you ****? Where else?
just kidding, I'm running on a mac and I would really like to have this mod, but it doesn't work for me. I haven't been able to test whether the light functions or not because whenever I download it, every single block is transparent. I can only see torches lmao (maybe animals). I installed it correctly to my knowledge and tried it a few times, if you're stumped it's no big deal, I personally think it's rather humorous. (You're talking to the guy who could not install mods since the 1.3_01 update until today because he never had to delete the META-INF folder because it never appeared before and wondered why there is this black screen)

High Quality Videos! I don't make them anymore though lol.

It sounds like you accidently replaced the terrain.png with a transparent 64x64 png named terrain.png. It happens some times.
Joking aside, do you use a high detail texture pack that has to be patched in? It sound most likely that this is a graphical glitch.

yeah, I use a 64x64 texture pack (Albion or something). Also, I think I may have figured out the problem, I just woke up and I have essays to write and such, so I won't get around to this today, but I threw all of the files in minecraft.jar... I put the files in the "net" folder in their proper spots, but there was new folders called "merged files" and "configfile_optional" in my minecraft.jar
could that be the problem? thanks for the help too by the way
EDIT: I used xau's HD texture patch (I believe it was his)

Hmm... Then perhaps this isn't compatible with the grass fix? When I tried the grass fix it ****ed everything up with my mods, so that could be it.

Dynamic Lights
MCPatcher + Misa's texture pack
SinglePlayerCommands
All are latest versions.
My problem is that handheld torches do NOT light anything at all, only if I throw/place them.

Minecraft v1.3.2 | Windows 7 Professional x64
Added.
Maybe there was something wrong with my decompile. I've included a merged version of r10 which i understand is more recent.
I will leave metaphorically backhanding you to someone else.
It worked before, would be awesome to see it work again... more or less. XD
