Need some help with the Install. Simply, I don't get it. I put the coremods from the download into the .minecraft\coremods and nothing happens. I alsio put the whole zip file in there aswell and it didn't work. Do I have to put each item in its respective folder or what?
AtomicStryker, does this support meta data? A lot of mod items have such meta data, and well I am specifically speaking bout the Light Helmet from IC2, with this modification it no longer works as intended, but I would still like to use it.
Add the ID for the Helmet into the config file and it should work.

You need to put the .jar file in the coremods folder, and this is found by opening up the zip then going to /setup/coremods.
okay, let's get to the facts.
Fact 1: I use a mac.
Fact 2: I am using every one of the modules, including the ones labeled "expensive".
Fact 3: I get 380 frames per second with this.
Derived fact: It does not matter whether you are using windows OR mac with this mod, as long as the computer is reasonably good.
That's optifine's problem, not dynamic Light.
Update your forge and Optifine to the latest version (D5) and it should be fixed.
It's not this mod or optifine, it's the version of Forge:
Build 1.5.2-7.8.0.736: LexManos: Added EntityLiving to Block.isLadder arguments, deperacating older version. New parameter has the possibility of being null, so modders must take care. Closes #608
LexManos: Add air checks to BlockSand falling and Piston pushing. Please report any other issues with custom 'Air' blocks in issue #

mod doesnt work, when i hold a torch it doesn't emit light.
you sure you installed it correctly? You have to open the zip file..then click 'setup'/'coremod' and place that jar file, found in there, in the 'coremods' folder.

So I recently install liteloader and macro/keybind mod and constantly crashed. After I asked mumfrey, the mod author, he said it's other mod that cause the crash. After searching for the problematic mod, I got that Dynamic Light is causing it. and :
Let the author know, basically it's causing Profiler stack corruption which normally means an endSection with no corresponding beginSection. This often happens when the beginSection accidentally gets caught inside an IF statement when it shouldn't be.
I've downloaded this thing, but the dynamic light isn't showing up at all. I have it globally on.
What versions are you using? 1.6 did just come out and it takes time for mods to be updated. Also, make sure you unzip the file that you download and extract the file DynamicLights.jar that's in the setup folder.

I'm using 1.5.2, and I have unzipped and extracted the .jar.

You cannot install this on a server, as it crashes on load. It is client-side only. Just tell everyone on the server to install it individually.

Solution: use Forge Build 1.5.2-7.8.0.735
Ok... thanks! :-)
Yes you are indeed correct. Error on my part
So, any idea?

Try deleting your config files and letting them regenerate when you next log in.
Note A: coremods now go into the mods folder
Note B: if you get a duplicate mods crash, thats a Forge bug. Wait for a new version
