It's actually a problem with SPC's WorldEdit support not storing tile entity data,
when using WorldEdit on Bukkit, it works fine.
I hate to ask such an obvious question... but what exactly is preventing SPC from being able to handle storing the tile entity data, when using copy/cut and loading schematics? I figure it has to be something frustratingly difficult, since Simo and you have both known about the "issue" with it for a while now.
Not that I'm complaining about this, or upset about it. I'm just curious about the technical aspect of what's keeping it from being possible. I figure it's not an easy "Oh, all I have to do is add this modified class here, and rewrite two lines of these classes, and boom, instant storage of the tile entities!" type of fix.
Also, I know I've been quiet here... but I wanted to say thank you, again, for your continuation of Simo's work. I still use SPC when I'm playing Minecraft, and am quite happy with the addition of some of the lost commands, and continued efforts to give us more access to the WorldEdit commands that didn't work before.
spc blocks lan games
i had spc installed and opened my world to lan , it gave a timeout on the other computer on the lan.
i then took out spc from my computer and restarted mc , opened the game to lan and the other comp could connect without a hitch.
any idea why this is happening?
I'm not certain it'll work but you might try q3's SPC.dev7 with /prefixslash. This is where a launcher is really handy.

I had the same problem when I tried to host a lan game and I do believe it's caused by the noclip command. I read through my ForgeModloader-client.txt file (which I unfortunately do not own anymore) to figure out what is preventing my game from hosting a lan world and I found a small section which had a NoSuchMethodError that had something to do with this:
On SPC 1.5.2, none of the WorldEdit commands seem to work. I can't use the wooden axe to set positions, and when I make brushes, it seems to work fine but it doesn't actually change/edit blocks. I tried both manual and automated installation, and I don't know how to fix the problem.
try using //pos1 for position 1 and //pos2 for position 2

Q3 has released a beta of Xcommands version 1.5 that seems to work pretty good and has PlayerApi compatibility the wand seems to select correctly and although left click does break the block when in creative, but you can always put the block back

If playing survival this is much easier. Creative and the WE wand:
Do not play together!
A relatively simple solution is to use //hpos1 & //hpos2 when in creative mode.
To make it handier, consider binding (/bind) a couple of keyboard keys to these commands. Keycodes may be found here: http://www.minecraft...ecraft-console/ .

You need to spend 5 minutes reading the attached Command List. You'll recoup the time in one game session.

It's been normal for me. I've been at this since 1.6.6. The contents of chests have never been copied.

Playing lan with this mod worked fine before the noclip command was readded so I'm pretty sure that's what is causing it.
This has been an ongoing problem that is almost always fixed by using q3's version. Have you tried it?

But it does!
I use MagicLauncher with Forge (first), SPC, all other Mods except Optifine (last). and it works like a charm.

when this mod was updated from 1.2.5 to 1.3.2, most of the commands need to be coded again.
