Is it possible to make "safe zone" in this mod?
just much players play mod in combo with Millenaire mod. Millenaire mod dont letting creepers and endermans spawn around village (yet ogres still spawn and they more dangerous than creepers).
I get a black screen every time. I have minecraft forge and this "says" its 1.4.5 but it still gives me a black screen. The only other mod i have installed is the too many items mod.
I installed the forge doing:
1-Drop all the modloader contents in the .jar
2-Drop all the forge in the .jar
3-Put all the mods in the folder with that name (Except of the GUIA API wich goes in the .jar)
Hello, I would like start by saying I love this mod. But as you likely expect, that comes with a 'however'. That however is that I don't like ALL the creatures in this mod and I am sure there are other that would agree.
As a suggestion in light of this, could you make the base creature mod that would basically do nothing by itself in game, but check for any 'expansions' in the mod folder, then offer separate 'expansion packs' which would actually add the creatures and their related items? It would be great for those who want, say, just horses or just hostile/docile mobs and don't want any of the other creatures.

It appears I need to be clearer on why this is an issue. I intend to run this on a private server with maybe 4-6 freinds but want to remove horses as they would clash with the overall theme. While disabling them from the menu like nukularpower suggested below would work on an SSP map, the same doesn't hold true for SMP.
the in game menu only works for single player. For multiplayer, you need to find the mocreatures.cfg file that is located in the place where you have the server jar, and ajust the settings. The server checks twice every minecraft day for changes in the .cfg file however It is better to restart the server after chanding the .cfg file for the changes to take place.
Is there any way to change what type of areas certain creatures spawn in? I keep having bees and dragonflies spawn inside my house (made of wood and cobblestone). Also, I have the wild wolves set to 1, but there are still a ton of them spawning. I think there are about 20 outside my house right now. Didnt see this mentioned on the known bugs, so I thought Id mention it.

also i had a glitch in my creative world with a ghost horse i had the flying one and when i re loaded the world after updating it became a skeloton unicorn when i already had one (in other words it took away my ghost horse and replaced it with an exact copy of my unicorn skeloton so XD just wanted to point it out if it was a glitch)
DrZhark - just a thought - is there anyway you could give players a biome specific spawning choice for mobs and creatures? Maybe an on/off in the config?
The way I have it now is that the biomes were the mobs spawn are hard coded in MoCreatures. I haven't found a good way to expose this using the GUI API (it also takes some good effort), so for now it will remain like so. However I've added an option to the mod based on your suggestion. You can now turn off the customspawner, and use a mod like Mob Spawn Controls. I have not tested it, but I think turning off customspawner and then using Mob Spawn Controls will give you the options you look for.
However there is a caveat:
Minecraft spawns vanilla entities as it is creating new chunks. The sheep, cows, pigs and chickens do not despawn naturally. So unless a mod takes full control of both things, the worlds will end up overpopulated with the vanilla spawns and there won't be too many custom spawns. I have spent quite some time refining the custom spawner, it takes care of both issues. It appears that finally it is doing everything I wanted it to do. If someone decides to turn it off and use Mob Spawn Controls, they have the option now. However I won't be fine tuning my mod to work with Mob Spawn Controls, as I don't like to add dependencies and I don't want all my effort working on customspawner to go to waste.
Sweety, horses have their own key for jumping. I've got mine set to the F key. Just open up the key bindings and change it to whatever you want. Then your horses will jump.

This was changed in recent update. Horse jump will use the normal jump key now. If you still have issues, delete the options.txt file in your .minecraft folder so it can regenerate.

Hi. I have just installed the Mo Creatures mod but for some reason the creatures are spawning with no color to them. They have noise and animations but no color. I also noticed when I open minecraft and look at the installed mods, the logo for Mo Creatures doesn't show up either. I have a Mac and I hope someone can help because I've been very much excited to play this mod and I hope the problem is fixable. Thanks

Just pick up a baby scorpion. They won't despawn. They've always been tameable (refer to Version 2.14.2 in the change log), but it was kind of a hidden feature.

So, how correct to set the same mods options for the server and client?

They're different formats, you may have to match the server config to the client's manually. Just edit the MoCreatures.cfg file with any text editor (like Notepad)

They're different formats, you may have to match the server config to the client's manually. Just edit the MoCreatures.cfg file with any text editor (like Notepad)
