I just set up a farm with varying crops: carrots, potatoes, wheat, sugar canes, pumpkins and melons. I went into my mine to dig for resources. I came back up to see what I could do with some materials that's been added via Forgotten Nature. As my mine entrance is near my farm, I was surprised to hear some goats in the enclosed farm.
How did these goats get over my fence? The gate closes automatically via pressure plate and there is no near by blocks stand on.I acually found the scene to be hillarious; however I just have one concern. Will these goats harm my crops and how can I keep them out? Should I go looking for a dog to chase them or what?
What other animals should I be concern with, as it relates to my farm?

1. With so many people using this mod with Thaumcraft 3, would it make sense to give the mob drops aspects for research, infusion, etc?
2. Normal meat animals drop the cooked variant if slain with a fiery weapon. Why don't yours?
3. All big lizards (Crocodile, Komodo Dragon) need to drop consistent, and interchangeable, leather. I would add a Raptor (as in 6-foot predatory lizard, common to plains and forests, attacks anything it can catch) to that mix as well.
4. I don't see many creatures that spawn in the Nether or End. Perhaps a imp or other small demon that drops glowstone dust?

Its not that they hopped the fence, but that they spawned inside of it. And for other mobs, probably bunnies, and really any mob that spawns on grass.

I definitely wasn't expecting that. Uhoh, the carrots! It's a good thing I didn't plant any cabbages. Will these animals harm my crops? Do I need a dog to chase them out? I'm also wondering about the giant scorpions that attacked some cows. They werent inside a fence; however, I have to ask. Will a fence be enough to keep this scorpions out?
This mod is adding a whole new dimension of fun to my game. I've not set up the animal pens, yet.

Is there anyway you could add a section to your main post with all the crafting recipes? The wiki on the mod doesn't seem to have all the recipes and I'm having trouble searching through each spoiler to find what I need. It'd be much appreciated, thanks!

Raptors are not lizards and they lived in deserts. You can tell they aren't lizards because of the feathers
2. go to the start menu and type in %appdata% to get to the roaming folder
3. get to .minecraft and go to the bin. Then right click minecraft.jar and go to open with any archiver
4.DELETE THE Meta-Inf folder (don't worry this won't do anything wrong, meta-inf messes up mods)
5. download minecraft forge and drag all of its contents into the minecraft.jar (also, minecraft forge has its own Meta-Inf, dont be afraid, keep that file, only delete the Meta-Inf that was originally in your minecraft.jar)
6. X your minecraft.jar and your minecraft forge as you no longer need it now.
7.run minecraft and it should say at the bottom left 3 mods loaded. Then X minecraft
8.repeat step 2 but this time go to coremods
9.download gui api and put the file in your coremods folder
10.click the back arrow and go to the mods folder
11.download the custom mob spawner mod and put the .zip file (MAKE SURE IT IS THE .ZIP FILE) into the mods folder
12.download Mo' Creatures and put the .zip file (same thing make sure .zip file) into the mods folder
13.X the folder and run minecraft
14. Play or dont play I dont care but this installation should work
Looks epic! I want to try it but...
I do everything videos tell me, but the one thing people leave out
What if you don't have a mod folder
My exact problem, and no matter what
Nothing
I deleted meta inf
Did everything
But no where to put the mod
I really enjoyed your mod back in 1.2.5 but now the werewolves seem to have been severely nerfed, maybe some other creatures too. It would be nice to be able to have more config options. I also get a random name your pet thing when I didn't do anything. I'd like to see a config option to make the game tough like back in 1.2.5 and be able to adjust some of the drops. Can we still make chainmail with shark teeth? I like that better than using fire. Heck If you could update the 1.2.5 version to now, I think there was a sphax texture for that even. Hell if you could offer both of those I'd use them. I'm not too interested in the current version unless I can config it more to my liking.
You're getting the 'name your pet' thing, because a bird happened to pick up seeds floating near you. This feature is starting to annoy me as there are always floating seeds around for some reason or another so I'm constantly getting pet birds I didn't want. I much preferred when you had to actually feed the tame item to the wanted pet. Then none of these seemingly random pets would happen. Not sure what you mean about nerfed werewolves, they seem the same to me, not to mention the fairly common fire ones that are deadly as hell. (even when they're set not to be in normal, I think lightning causes them but I'm not positive)
You can't adjust your drops, but you sure can adjust your spawn to be much harder than it used to be, you have golems and ogres, neither of which are easy by any means. Crank up their spawn rate, then see how 'easy' it is.
You must install forge for this to work, It should give you the folders you need. If you want to make it easy on yourself, I suggest something like MultiMC, with that you'll have all the folders, and won't have to touch the jar file for anything.
Hi, I'm a Taiwanese and I plan to have the translation of the mods which
in English. I found that your mods are
and I want to translate it into Traditional Chinese. Can you let me
to work on it? Thanks for any reply.
P.S:I will put your post on MInecraft Firum in my post on the forum of
Taiwan and Hong Kong
A: No Mocreatures or Monsters spawning in Mystcraft ages as well as no wither skeletons spawning in nether
or
B: Non-vanilla biomes (ExtrabiomesXL) spawn only vanilla monsters while vanilla biomes spawn no vanilla monsters
*Note - Zombies will spawn in vanilla biomes, but they are Thaumcraft 3 angry zombies; not vanilla zombies.
Can anyone additionally tell me what the difference between the options to Despawnvanilla vs. the Modifyvanilla ?
question ive gotten a fairy horse gave him a purple dye, crystal armor,an a chest but i cant get him in a amulet i went and breed another fairy horse gave him green dye no armor and no chest and i can catch him in a amulet so why cant i catch the first fairy horse in a amulet
So I decided to uninstall Mo' Creatures from my server, no hostile mobs spawn at all. I'm not sure if passive ones do. They still spawn in the mob trap I have in a Mystcraft Age, but otherwise nothing. I stood in the middle of a forest at night with nothing attacking me. Went spelunking without torches. Nothing. I haven't changed any server config settings, just removed the mod (and custom mob spawner). I'm seeing the same issue in the nether. No Magma cubes, zombie pigmen, Ghasts...Just Blazes when standing near a blaze spawner.
