While I do enjoy the increased challenge that ogres give to the game, the proximity/x-ray vision aspect is a bit annoying. For cave ogres I can sort of see that but it would be nice if the overland version had normal line of sight restrictions.
I 'm having a bit of an issue with SMP spawning, when I attempt to alter the spawn rates nothing happens. For instance I set the orge spawn rates to 0 yet they still spawn... a lot.
But that's the point I was talking about. Since Mo'Creatures use custom mob spawner, it's mobs disappear when chunk is unloaded. So, for instance, you can't keep any animals, they just disappear.

Anyone else getting the problem where they can't spawn golems in creative? They appear for a split second then disappear, like I never spawned it. Help?

Hi. I have just installed the Mo Creatures mod but for some reason the creatures are spawning with no color to them. They have noise and animations but no color. I also noticed when I open minecraft and look at the installed mods, the logo for Mo Creatures doesn't show up either. I have a Mac and I hope someone can help because I've been very much excited to play this mod and I hope the problem is fixable. Thanks
Yo you have to nerf the golems they are too strong and really hard to kill
No, they need to stay exactly the same. We just need an option to set the rarity really low (below 1) and they need to not spawn in packs of two or three. Right now it's golemocalypse out there on any setting other than off.

Are you planning on making your mod compatible with HD mods that cover the UI? Over at Sphanx BDcraft I was told your mod isn't compatible with their texture pack and that was the reason behind the Global Mod Manger text for Mo' Creature creature spawner from showing up properly (the text was similar to that of the enchantment table text). I know someone was working to make a standalone (I think..) version for a Mo' Creature re-texture in the BDCraft styling, I don't know if it fixed the UI since the last update crashes my game and hasn't been updated for some time since your model tweaking.
I'm hoping to see you and Sphanx work together in the future, I enjoy the texture packs look on the world and I enjoy the animals and creatures you've added that are enhancing my enjoyment of the game.
More Species of Turtles and birds will be amazing! And an animation for when the wolf "howls". KittyBed and KittyLitterBox are as buggy as a fish bowl. Creating a website will make it easier for us to find recipes, how creatures behave etc.

Sweety, horses have their own key for jumping. I've got mine set to the F key. Just open up the key bindings and change it to whatever you want. Then your horses will jump.
Hello, I would like start by saying I love this mod. But as you likely expect, that comes with a 'however'. That however is that I don't like ALL the creatures in this mod and I am sure there are other that would agree.
As a suggestion in light of this, could you make the base creature mod that would basically do nothing by itself in game, but check for any 'expansions' in the mod folder, then offer separate 'expansion packs' which would actually add the creatures and their related items? It would be great for those who want, say, just horses or just hostile/docile mobs and don't want any of the other creatures.

It appears I need to be clearer on why this is an issue. I intend to run this on a private server with maybe 4-6 freinds but want to remove horses as they would clash with the overall theme. While disabling them from the menu like nukularpower suggested below would work on an SSP map, the same doesn't hold true for SMP.

Do what I do to prevent mobs from spawning on the roof. Tile the roof with either stair blocks, half slabs, or a combination.
Mobs can't spawn on them, and you don't have to put torches all over it.
Also, when I update to 4.3.1, is there any way to modify the golem in order to make them not affect certain blocks?
