I'm pretty sure More Stackables was overlooked. It still has the same version number, and after installing it, Minecraft only showed a black screen. :sad.gif:

So in the mac installation process, on step 3) Outside of terminal, copy the class files into the mctmp directory.
I want to copy the files into mctmp, but when i move them it says some of "some those files already exist"
and it asks me if it would like me to replace those files. Do it anyways? or what? I'm scared. :sad.gif:
.class files are part of the program. If you add more, the program won't know. In order to get the program to read them, you have to replace existing .class files and use those to point to the new ones.
tl;dr: Yes, you HAVE to replace files if you want mods to work.

Hey guys, i cant seem to get the mods to work :sad.gif:
This is what i did:
I downloaded:
Arrows Mod 1.43
Death Chest 1.03
Floodgate 1.01
Light Sensor 1.12
Mod Loader 1.21
More Worlds 1.02
Sign Tags 1.32
Slime Fix 1.01
Extracted all of them into the same folder.
Opened Minecraft.jar with WinRAR.
Put the contents of the aforementioned folder into Minecraft.jar.
Deleted META-INF folder.
Closed Minecraft.jar.
Closed Folder.
Started minecraft, pressed login.
I get the flashing screen of 'updating minecraft' for a second, as usual, then i get a black screen, mojang logo flashes for about half a second, black screen again, this time permanent.
So long story short, i cant get minecraft to start after installing these mods, what am i doing wrong??

Remove SlimeFix. It isn't on the front page, so it probably isn't compatible with the latest version of the game. So try installing them on a fresh minecraft.jar without SlimeFix, and see if it works :happy.gif:
is there a update or working method for mods requiring modloaders yet? all I get when installing modloader/mod is a black screen. that is login fine shows a screen saying loading then immediately goes to a black screen! please help!
Notch said on Twitter that he'd added the slime fix to the game in the latest update in any case. I have no way to verify that, however - I've never seen a slime in the months I've been playing.

Well this sucks. I did what you told me to do now i have a blank black screen. Also am i not supposed to have a mctmp directory anymore?
It still makes you able to take with you enough food to last you many excavations making you able to stay down there a lifetime. And if all your items ends in a nice little box when you die, why be afraid of dying..?
Just my two cents. Many of the other addons are really neat. Just not the ones making the game way too easy.
Even with Death Chest I have gotten killed in an area that I had no idea how to get back to. My things may be safe and never dissapear, but that doesn't matter if I never see them again.
Also, you never made a checkpoint in your underground systems? I often had a chest just with food in it. Either way I still get the same effect, except without the needing to run back to my checkpoint every so often.

Same thing with my game. (Although I did finally find the chest about 3 hours later. :tongue.gif:) And I too make checkpoints wherever I go. More stackables just makes it far easier and faster to transfer supplies from one checkpoint to the next. And because of the way I play, this doesn't make the game easier, it just makes me more efficient.

That most commonly occurs when you forget to delete the META-INF folder inside minecraft.jar.
Hey, I did everything you said. I deleted META_INF and added every file on the arrow mod. But I still get the black screen. Do I put the arrows folder in there to, to do I put the .png files of the arrows in a certain area, cause I just put the arrows folder in there.
It works just fine for me.

EDIT: or more stackables and something, I know it was one of these, crashes my sound when I try to change it...
me either, i was really looking forward to having more worlds...
edit:...nevermind >_< delete the META-INF file in the /bin/minecraft.jar wen you drag n drop the kz.class into it.
problem = solved
