Well, do all of you have no modloader.txt? because I actually need a modloader.txt and if possible also the crash report, otherwise I can't help you finding the problem.
But I can suggest deleting your whole minecraft folder, starting minecraft again so you will get a totally fresh one, downloading the mods you want to install again (also modloader), and installing the newly (fresh) downloaded mods into your fresh minecraft folder.
If it still doesn't work, check if you have a modloader.txt this time.
If not, then the only thing I can think of is that you have just installed it wrong...
Tried that, and still nothing, so the error code I got from console can't help?
I have a problem with the spawner GUI, when i set it, i right click, then it goes to the saving chunks screen, and then black screen. anyone understand this??
BTW: i did delete Meta-Imf
So, yeah, I'm having another problem, I'm trying to install Wolves Extended, after a heap of other mods and a message comes up in my modloader.txt that I find terribly confusing. Usually I try to work these things out on my own, and only post after I've tried all I can think of, but I don't even have an inkling of whats going wrong. Here is the error line:

I dropped all files from AudioMod and ModLoader into Minecraft.jar, that is what to do correct?

It's probably a problem with the archiving program you are using, try another archiving program to drag- and drop the files into your minecraft.jar
I put my mod days and I get this error message very annoying

and the error things keeps disconnecting a second after it comes up so its impossible for me to copy and paste that, please help, thanks
java.lang.VerifyError: Cannot inherit from final class
That's the problem ^ Try installing MineColony again, start with a fresh minecraft.jar!
And if it doesn't help, then post this error on the tread of MineColony, since it is an error caused by MineColony, the maker of that mod might be able to help you.
Okay, after about 20 attempts I finally got ModLoader working with no mods at all. Just the basic ModLoader modifications to minecraft.jar. It was my first time using ML so that's why it took me so long.
Figured I'd post saying I was successful getting Minecraft to start (in SMP) after making these modifications. So black screens and errors must be either a problem with the particular mod being used, or user error.
Hope that helps! I will post again if I figure something else out.
As a response to my last post, there is no "modloader.txt" file ANYWHERE in my minecraft files (that is, the files in .minecraft) after I have installed and run the mod. By the way, I run a 64 bit pc. Will this affect anything?
A 64 bit pc doesn't affect anything. Try installing modloader again (start with a fresh minecraft.jar)
When I updated my Minecraft, a complete reinstall, to 1.7.3, and downloaded every mod, it was all fine. Then I downloaded modloader and it crashes. It didn't crash for previous versions for me. But for 1.7.3 it does. I again forced update to refresh my .jar and downloaded modloader alone, and it crashes. Downloaded one other mod, crashes. It brings me to a black sreen, then a grey one with an error message that only lasts two seconds so I can't read it.
I have no idea what that means, any help would be apreciated. Thanks.
Did you mayb give an item or block the id '2'? Because it is 'OutOfBounds'.
at ItemWolfClothing.a(ItemWolfClothing.java:35)
Maybe that item? Look at the properties file, if there is one, and try to ajust the id's so that they are compatible with minecraft. I don't remember between wich marge they should be, but I know 200-300-400 is possible.

HEY. TO EVERYONE POSTING ERROR REPORTS. Use the spoiler command. It avoids massive scrolling along the pages. If someone want to see your coment, they will open it. If not, pass by.
To do that (in case someone doesn't know it yet) put spoiler between [] and then when you are done, put /spoiler between [].

Thank you so much for "ModLoader" as it has helped so many modders and mod users :smile.gif:

modloader has a problem with itself! ive tried a fresh install several times, but it always come up with 'modloader beta 1.7.3
modloader has encountered a problem!...'. the minecraft window always closes too fast for me to do anything or copy+paste any errors. the minecraft.jar works fine on its own with the minecraft-1.7.3.jar in the bin folder, but it doesnt when modloader is installed. does anyone know whats happening?
Please provide the modloader.txt!

EDIT: Holy this is the 10000th reply!
This is a completely clean install. I only really used Single Player Commands, so Ijust forced a redownload of all the files to make a clean install.
I dropped all files from AudioMod and ModLoader into Minecraft.jar, that is what to do correct?
It's probably a problem with the archiving program you are using, try another archiving program to drag- and drop the files into your minecraft.jar
It's probably a problem with the archiving program you use, get another one (I use winzip) and use it to make a fresh install.
Then modloader wasn't loaded. Try installing it again, start with a fresh minecraft.jar!
I can't seem to find an error! everything is fine! Did you delete the META-INF folder inside the minecraft.jar?
That's the problem ^ Try installing MineColony again, start with a fresh minecraft.jar!
And if it doesn't help, then post this error on the tread of MineColony, since it is an error caused by MineColony, the maker of that mod might be able to help you.
? What do you mean with this?
A 64 bit pc doesn't affect anything. Try installing modloader again (start with a fresh minecraft.jar)
Please provide the modloader.txt and if possible also the crash report!
Please provide the modloader.txt
Did you mayb give an item or block the id '2'? Because it is 'OutOfBounds'.
Maybe that item? Look at the properties file, if there is one, and try to ajust the id's so that they are compatible with minecraft. I don't remember between wich marge they should be, but I know 200-300-400 is possible.
To do that (in case someone doesn't know it yet) put spoiler between [] and then when you are done, put /spoiler between [].

No more spamming codes, please. So for forum's sake, do this.
Thanks.
My mod idea. It's about introducing genetics into minecraft.
I use almost all of your mods when I just want to play SSP :biggrin.gif:
I also had a clean mc.jar with a deleted META-INF, and no mods installed.
