The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
War... War is changing.
Fallout: Rebuilding Humanity
Welcome to the hub of "Fallout: Rebuilding Humanity", the Fallout inspired adventure map that takes you into the heart of a whole new (blocky) wasteland. This story will be unlike any other map you have played before, spanning a main quest, side quests, easter eggs, co-op only areas, accurate lore, a large and detailed wasteland, a plethora of in-depth stories for you to uncover and so much more! Get ready to see Fallout like you've never seen it before!
The year is 2351, and the world is but a shadow of its former self. Many years before, in the year 2077, conflict consumed the world and the atomic bomb brought and end to civilization and almost all life on earth was extinguished.. The cries of war were silenced. However, when the radiation subsided, survivors came out of hiding; the wasteland met them. What little remained of the humanity endured and soldiered on. Yet, while some tried to rebuild humanity, some were so blind they continued to destroy it.
You are one of the "lucky" ones. Before the bombs fell, underground shelters had been set up, known as Vaults. If an apocalyptic event occurred, humanity could remain safe in the Vaults and, eventually, start fresh. They could recover what had been lost. You have spent your entire life in Vault 81, knowing nothing of the outside world. However, when you wake up one morning, the residents of your Vault are nowhere to be found, with no clues as to why.
Why exactly were you left behind? Why has everyone left and where could they have gone? It's time to leave the Vault and search for your family and friends. You may think you are prepared but the road ahead will be a dangerous one.
Because war...war never changes.
Featuring a lengthy campaign, with lots of secrets to discover, you will begin a brand new adventure, meet new people and travel to the infamous "Big City". Explore the landscape and ruins of a new wasteland and scavenge in order to survive. You will even come across bonus (optional) co-op only areas that revolve around simple puzzles that cannot be completed by a single player. These areas may just reward you and your companion should you find them.
The map, characters, story, events and references are, as far as I am aware, all accurate to the lore of the Fallout games and its respective universe. However, this has all been used to create a fun and interesting so don't be too critical. Expect references and appearances from the items, events and characters of previous Fallout games, though it is largely based upon Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.
You can choose to take on the main quest and find your way into the "Big City" or you can explore the other areas of the wasteland you find yourself in. Find new locations, meet new people and complete sidequests before, during or after the events of Rebuilding Humanity's core storyline. While your time in the "Big City" may come to a close, there are still other stories yet to be told.
A tutorial area is located near the beginning of the adventure, should you want a helping hand in getting to grips with the basics of the map. It's highly recommended you find it as you will learn some important lessons and perhaps acquire some gear before you head out on the long road ahead of you.
Expect to find many familiar faces that you love and know from the Fallout world, including: Super Mutants, Radscorpions, Raiders, Feral Ghouls, Nightstalkers, Giant Ants, Radroaches, Brahmin, Eyebots, Mr Gutsys, Traders, Mole Rats, Bighorners and more!
Most items in game are related to the Fallout universe, including weapons, armour, food and countless miscellaneous items. You will be sure to find among them such things as; Stimpaks, Nuka Cola, Power Armour, Brahmin Steak, Supersledges, RadAway, Abraxo Cleaner and fully animated Cowboy Repeaters!
Many map improvements and redesigns have been implemented to improve the adventure maps flow and appearance. The path through the map is more easily found and followed and the world has received both major and minor updates in areas so that it's as visually impressive as possible. The map will also have less abundant items to create a reasonable challenge, so be wary when wandering the Wastelands.
The adventure map, previously, had a somewhat simple ending. However, an entirely new and improved ending has been written and built, further developing and redesigning the story so that it's far more interesting, engaging and dramatic! Your choices in the final moments will change the game world and perhaps have further reaching repercussions to come.
New creatures, items and weapons: the map has received even more content that further enhance the Fallout theme, with more Fallout based mobs to fight, more Fallout weapons to use and more Fallout items to eat, find and use.
A BRAND NEW FEATURE: Fallout sound effects! Whether it be mobs, menu sounds, records, XP gain, weapons, in-game music or more, expect to here sounds that will be all tpp familiar to you if you've played Fallout 3 and/or Fallout: New Vegas.
New Locations to Explore: A whole new settlement awaits your arrival in the wasteland. Woodrow, the home of humble merchants, has become an increasingly dangerous place. Behind one wall lies the town and behind another lies a gang of raiders. But, somewhere, lies a third voice; one that has traveled for a long time over a great distance. Woodrow is a place of great history and great mystery. The new area is filled to the brim with characters, locations, side-quests and opportunities.
An incorporated "S.P.E.C.I.A.L" system: You will be able to create a character with customisable stat levels that suit you at the beginning of the map using Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility and Luck. Your chosen stats will give you varying levels of access to new features, dialogue options and abilities.
NPC Characters and Dialogue: You will be meeting new characters during your adventures and will be able to interact and talk with them. Dynamic dialogue means you now have a far more immersive and personal experience, with your choices shaping conversations and interactions. Better yet, your S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats will influence the interactions you have, creating new dialogue options and speech checks for you to utilise.
New Quests and "DLC": The previous post-game "sidequests" have been repurposed to effectively become "DLC". A future update, hopefully the 1.8 update, will repurpose the previous "side-quests" and incorporate them into a new post-game story line. It is hoped that, over time, the map and world will be moulded into more of an open-world experience.
Radiation levels: The Wasteland is one of lingering radiation and your character may well be exposed to it should you come in to contact with waste or nuclear fallout. With the inclusion of working radiation levels, you'll now need to keep an eye on your Geiger-counter as increasingly high levels of radiation will bring with it increasingly crippling effects. Keep your eyes on those geiger counters, kids. Tick, tick, tickety means run your ass outta there, and then pop some RadAway for good measure.
Custom Crafting: All new custom crafting recipes mean you'll be able to make use of what you find in the wasteland to create even more useful items. Crafting recipes can be found or learnt from the characters you'll meet. granting you the ability to create improved food, new weapons, upgraded armour and much more!
Endings and Beginnings: The start of the adventure map, following the character creation, features a dramatic cinematic opening akin to that of Fallout 3's opening dialogue. Equally, the maps ending will feature something similar; a dynamic ending, changing in contents depending on what you did and chose to do during your journey. The dynamic ending and monologue will bring your adventures to a close.. but there are perhaps some stories that are yet to be told.
Even more good stuff to come: Yet again, lots of smaller things will be implemented like further fixes/improvements, more textures and sounds, visual changes, resource pack development, new gameplay features and so much more!
Currently unavailable in anticipation of the upcoming update that will add new side quests, fixes, new and improved areas and so much more!
ETA: Early 2015. For real this time. But we are merely two people working on a fun project in our spare time. Have patience and it will be rewarded.
That's why it's ESTIMATED. Not a release date.
1.8 Full Release - NOT SO SOON ETA: Sometime late 2015. The HUGE update.

Somewhere... in the furthest corners of the wasteland...
...Darkness surrounds you. You struggle for fresh air, your prayers going unanswered. Nothing but the icy floor of the chamber meets you, piercing eyes watching you, joyfully, from behind a pair of thick glasses as your last cries for help fall on deaf ears.
