IMO you gave too much dirt at the start. Also, it doesn't start in HQM mode. 2 lives is just too few.
There is enough dirt to start a small tree farm, and a small farm for food. Anything less leads to early deaths.
The second problem seems to be a bug with HQM. I have it enabled, and set the config to enable it for everyone.
Well, start questing. I should have added a common reward of a heart piece. Also, any early game deaths tend to be the fault of the player. I have died only once, and that was while caving with only chain armor and a stone sword. Even then, it was to an infernal mob.(Which I plan to turn down the spawns of). I might add a few quests for heart pieces, or add pieces as a reward for some quests(I don't want to be AS and give out tons of hearts.).

I hope you do put it onto the ATLauncher.. would make it a lot easier for those that don't know much about setting up a Mod Pack on their own.
Well, if I can get someone to make a cover art for the quest book and I tweak the map a bit more(A new update should be ready in a few minutes), I'll consider trying to work out how to submit it to the AT launcher guys.

If you do make it, could you make it 512x512? As for a picture idea, I only have a basic one.
A "Steve" standing at the base of a blood altar(I'd say T4), a silverwood staff in one hand, an ars magica spell in the other, and near the bottom of the picture or in the back ground you can see the edge of this island. Not sure how possible this is given the size, but I'm open to anything you can make as long as it is magical looking. (After all, I thought of this idea in five minutes).
As for the typo's, I'll try to fix them in the next update.

I'm thinking it is a bug with hardcore questing mode. I have everything set up correctly, yet this sometimes happens. If you type in chat "/hqm edit" you'll get a copy of the questing book that will let you force-complete quests by shift clicking them. I'll look into trying to find a work around, and see what I can do.

That might be due to you being in edit mode. In normal mode it should be saving data, and I even edited the config to force a sever-client sync to make sure that it does.

Update to V1.04. I added flowers to quest rewards for early witchery quests. Before, there were two ways to get flowers: The spirit world and the moo moo farm.
Edit: Also, you have witchery mutandis to make flowers.

There is a patch out now(V1.03) that should fix that. Just drag and drop the "hqm" file inside into your config folder.
