Crossovers are a staple of modern fiction. Who doesn't love the idea of your favorite characters and settings being mashed together into kick-ass story? I certainly do! And while Crossovers can be seen all over modern fiction in Video Games like Street Fighter X Tekken, movies like The Expendables, and comic books like Crisis on Infinite Earths, Minecraft sorely lacks a proper, big, crossover story. Until now. Introducing...
Nothing to do with that crappy movie.
What is Cross/Worlds?
Cross/Worlds is a serialized story that I plan to release a chapter of once a week for a year. It is NOT an adventure map. It will feature characters and worlds from a great many adventure maps, including the Chasing the Past, Rise of the Gods, Reign of the Gods, and The Dust Saga. However, there are many more roles that need filling in the story, and that's where you come in.
Where do I come in?
I was just about to explain, be patient! While some characters and worlds will be new to the series and others will come from other maps, there are many more that will come from the Minecraft community. I need you to show me your characters and maps so that they can be featured in the story of Cross/Worlds. Some worlds and characters will get mere cameos, whereas others will be integral to the plot, and the fate of universes may rest upon their shoulders!
How do I do this?
Simple! Post links to your adventure maps below, and the character you wish to be in Cross/Worlds, and depending on the quality of the world or characters, they will be allocated a role in the vast story of Cross/Worlds.
Currently, I need:
TWO MAIN HERO CHARACTERS
FIVE SECONDARY HERO CHARACTERS
EIGHT SECONDARY VILLAINS
AS MANY MINOR CAMEOS AS YOU CAN MUSTER
Bear in mind, that characters can and will die in Cross/Worlds. If you do not wish to see your characters die, do not enter them into Cross/Worlds, as they will be at risk. Also, if you wish a character to be portrayed in a certain way, let me know what that is, so I can write them accordingly.
A Few facts about Cross/Worlds
Cross/Worlds is set in a Multiverse that contains the universe of every Minecraft Adventure Map. The Professor Grizwald universe...the Deep Space Turtle Chase Universe...they're all here. This multiverse is watched over by the Watchers, and incredibly advanced order of men and women plucked from every corner of the multiverse to watch over and record the events of each universe.
However, despite this, something is happening. Entire Universes are vanishing from existence, taking with them all of their inhabitants. Something is destroying the Multiverse, and if it is not stopped, then all existence will cease.
A rogue Watcher called The Guardian is the only thing standing against this mysterious destruction. However, he cannot do it alone. Along with his partner Sentinel, the Guardian begins to gather an army of Heroes from across the Multiverse to stand against the storm to come.

A genius of the highest order, Sam works with his mentor, Dr.Reichmann, to further the causes of science and technology in the University where they live. However, a freak accident with Reichmann's newest invention, a time machine, sends the two to a dark future. While not the best fighter, and curious to a fault, Sam has a good heart, and never stops searching for a brighter future.
From the same world as Salvator, only 300 years before he was born, Karliah Traven is one of the most gifted Mages in the world. She has the power to make her will reality, and is not afraid to use it. She was one of the prime players in the War of the Mage, where the Mage population rebelled against their Human oppressors. Although she is extremely arrogant, she works tirelessly for a brighter future for all her mage kin, though Gods help anyone who gets in her way!
The saga should begin soon, depending on how many suggestions we get. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy the saga to come!
Tie-ins are adventure maps connected to the story of Cross/Worlds, but are not essential for understanding the story. If you wish, you can create your own tie-ins to Cross/Worlds, in either story or map format, and I will be happy to post them here, as long as they do not interfere with the main plot.
Current tie-ins include:
Rise of the Gods (Previously mentioned)
Reign of the Gods (Previously mentioned)
Chasing/Choosing the Past (Previously mentioned)
The Dust Saga (The final map in this series, Final Dust, which can be downloaded here, serves as a prologue to the events of Cross/Worlds, but it is still not needed to understand Cross/Worlds, as any essential information from it will be retold in the main story. Can be downloaded here: http://www.minecraft...-300-downloads/)
Here's a little taster for what's to come, to whet your appetites and perhaps get some of you to join up.
-1000 Years Ago-
Man climbed over the rocks at the far end of the valley. His tribe had never ventured beyond what they had called the Valley of Haven. Man’s father, and his father, and his father before him, and all told their sons that stepping beyond the valley would herald the All-Over, the end of all things, and the Night That Never Ends. Man had never believed these stories. How could they know what lay beyond if they had never been beyond? They were afraid. This Man said he was not afraid. The All-Over would not stop him. And yet, at the very edge of the valley, Man was standing, sharpening his flint spears, and examining his arrowheads. For hours he stood at the precipice, mentally preparing himself. It was not until he saw a Deer beyond the Valley, that he gave chase, without even realising he had gone beyond it. He stalked the deer for hours, revelling in the excitement of being beyond the valley. In a clearing, Man saw the deer. Drawing back his bow, he held his breath, and aimed for the Deer’s head. Just as he fired, the Deer jolted off. Man grunted angrily, but as he did so, he looked up, and the sight before him made his mouth hang agape. A man hovered in the sky above him, wearing what appeared to be diamonds and mountains, far removed from the simple loincloth Man wore, though something that appeared similar to a loincloth hung at his back. The man drifted down towards him, and Man readied one of his flint axes. The Floating One’s mouth moved, and sounds came out. “Doonotbeeafrayd” it sounded like. The Floating One landed before Man. “Heerizhungr” came the sound of the Floating One’s mouth. The Floating One placed his hand on Man’s forehead. Man’s eyes rolled back inside his head.
The village at the foot of the Valley of Haven was in chaos. Hours ago, one of their own had left, claiming to be going beyond the Valley. Everyone thought he would die, and bring the All-Over with his death. And then, he returned, holding a stick with something on it, something he called fire. The Man gave the Fire to all the houses and people in the village, and they burned. The Man began killing the people of the village with extraordinary strength and skill, beyond the likes of the greatest warrior in the entire village. Soon, the village was in flames, the people were dead, and the Man was covered in the blood of his family.
The herald of the All-Over had come.

Val'Kyrne was not what you would call a respected Watcher. In an organization that comprises of a representative from literally every universe in existence, there are inevitably going to be some who will shine, and others who...don't. Val was obviously in the latter camp. She was a member of the species known as the Shan'Tu, a race of Human-Pig hybrids from the planet Shan-Ka'lan in Universe B3-Minor that weren't much on the looks department, but were otherwise a remarkably intelligent species. Val was the most intelligent of all her kin, and, on her 34th birthday, she was visited by a group of Watchers, with an offer to join them. As glamorous as it may have seemed at the time to join a hyper-advanced secret society in charge of the maintenance and care of the entire universe, it basically involved a lot of computer screens, paperwork, and filing. Recording every signifigant event in an entire universe is hard, dull work, after all. And since Watchers were made immortal upon joining, Val'Kyrne could look forward to an entire eternity of this.
The only interesting thing about her job were the monthly occasions where she would descend from the crystal spires of Elysium, planet of the Watchers, to a prison near the planet core, built out of unbreakable materials, designed to hold a single man. The only rogue watcher in all of history. Today was the day where Val would carry out the checks on the prisoner, and ensure his mind is intact, and his prison remains secure. She had to admit, the practice was getting rather dull. Maybe she would get a promotion for all her hard work, she thought, though a niggling voice in the back of her head told her that that wasn't happening any time soon.
Val really hated that voice.
Arriving at the Core-Prison, Val strode down the long corridor towards the prisoner's cell. Robots with Hi-Tech spears lined the walls, dutiful and ready, and turrets scanned the ground from the ceiling. No expense was spared keeping this prisoner sealed away. Val walked up a slope at the end of a long hallway, which looked over a vast abyss. If one looked straight down, one could see the core of the planet, though thousands of heat shields in the shaft prevented it from doing any significant damage. Hovering over the hold, a giant, black, cube hovered in the sky, a low humming noise emanating from it. This was the prisoner's cell. Val entered the 300 passwords required to open the cell into the control panel in front of her, and a portion of the cube in front of her slid open, and bridge extending from the slope towards the cell. Val walked across, into the prisoner's cell.
The sight of the prisoner shocked Val the first time she arrived. He was forced to kneel by a complicated system of incredibly strong chains that pulled him towards the floor, while other chains made sure he could never fall down. Chains from his arms were linked to the wall, forcing him to hold his arms out side at all times. Val'Kyrne found it positively barbaric, but the de facto leader of the Watchers, Xen, apparently forced the prisoner like this out of some sense of irony. Val coughed to make the prisoner aware of her presence. The prisoner raised his head towards her, and smiled. "Hello, miss. Time for my monthly check-up already?" he said, with a rather upper-class accent. The Prisoner laughed. "I don't think the results have ever changed the last thousand times you've done this. Why waste your time on it again?" he said, grinning sinisterly. The Prisoner was human, apparently, and originated from universe Delta-Prime, and was the Watcher of it until the Delta-Prime Incident occurred. "Just doing my job." Val said, sighing. "Name?" she asked. The Prisoner groaned. "Must I?" he asked. "Name?" Val repeated. The Prisoner sighed. "Prometheus." he finally said. "Good." Val said, ticking off another mark on the checklist. "Why are you here, Prometheus?" she asked. "Because I let loose a parasitic entity I designed onto a universe I was responsible for, and you fools imprisoned me before I could contain it. It's been loose in my universe for hundreds of years now while I've sat here in this dark place. But not anymore." Prometheus said, confidently. Val'Kyrne was unnerved. Prometheus never said anything like this before. "What are you talking about?" she asked. Prometheus' smile disappeared. He scowled at Val. "It means, the growing incompetence of the Watchers means I'm getting supporters in high places." Just as Prometheus said that, the chains snapped off of the walls, freeing him. Prometheus stood up. "It one of the robots outside was hacked by one of my supporters on the outside and the robot in turn deactivated the chains. It mean that the dampers supressing my powers are gone. And it means..." Prometheus grabbed Val's neck. "...you're all going to die." He said, snarling. Prometheus snapped her neck. Her body went limp, and Prometheus strode out of the cell. Two hacked robots were waiting outside the door. They held out his custom-designed armor. Prometheus put it on, and activated the teleport function, before vanishing.
Daedalus was one of the highest ranking Watchers. While previously the watcher of Universe Zero-Delta-30, he now juggles his time between his Watching duties and training new Watchers into the organization. He was standing in his office in Alasei temple, when a message came through on his Holo-Com. He had asked not to be disturbed unless it was extremely important. Irritated, Daedalus activated the Holo-Com. Xen, highest ranking of all the Watchers, appeared on the screen. "Daedalus." he said. "What can I do for you?" asked Daedalus. "It's Prometheus." Xen said. Daedalus' heart skipped a beat. "What?" Daedalus exclaimed. "What happened?" Xen shook his head. "He broke out. Turns out the new warden of his prison was one of those Sons of Prometheus nutjobs. He hacked the security systems to let him out." Daedalus slammed his fist onto the table. "Dammit!" he cried. "I thought you did background checks on these people!" "We did!" Xen said. "Everything checked out. All his Sons of Prometheus activities were off the grid. Nevertheless, I'm ordering a manhunt on all Sons of Prometheus. D'arvit, the warden, is already dead." Daedalus sighed. He knew what was coming. "And you need me to hunt down Prometheus myself? Again?" Xen nodded sadly. "I'm sorry. But no one knows him better than you." Daedalus nodded, picking up his disintegrator pistol out of his desk. He hadn't used this since he apprehended Prometheus the first time, centuries ago. "I'll do it." Daedalus said.
