The map looks cool but the download manager wants to install way too much crap for me to risk my system and time on. Think you could find a better host?

If you are prompted to download anything more than the Wayward Wonders.zip file you have clicked something you did not need to.
Just started the map with my GF tonight (everything seems to run fine on 1.8, can't use 1.8.3 due to the need for Forge, only way to play splitscreen with Controllers on a single pc ^^).
Really great experience so far. Ended up taking the Monument for the blocks as a starting base, now equipping, the next time we will start exploring. Had real fun so far, ty!
Do you know if we will find any problems with 1.8? Should be fine, all Command block things should be up to date I think...
Oh and... Are the pressure plates in the Monument Hall supposed to do something? The two stone pressure plates on the inside, on the corners of the stairs. Just wanna know if this is a version related problem or if they shouldn't work at all (or not working until something was achieved)
Glad to hear you are enjoying it. 1.8 should be fine I guess. The core mechanics should work as far as I know.
And the pressure plates are just aesthetic.
My brothers and I have played on Wayward Wonders for a few hours today... beaten the first boss, explored a gigantic cavern near the mausoleum, bought the wool coords book... I am blown away, man. It is already so freagin much fun, and we've only seen like 1% of the game. Haven't experienced a single problem. Thank you so much for making this unbelievably awesome map and giving it away for free--I would pay money for this, no questions asked. You rock dude!! Now I'm going to get back on and find the next Wonder!

Really awesome to hear this feedback. Thanks! Glad you are having fun.
Just started about 2 hours ago. I started aimlessly walking around and found the pyramids. My question comes from the boss in that area.
Is there a special requirement that needs to be met before i can kill the boss or does he really just have that much health? i'm talking about ahkemten or something. I tried using a potion to get near him thinking he may have arrow resist but the sword did nothing as well. I have dumped about 50-70 arrows into him as well.
Note I am also recording this to be put online so you can expect that at a later time.

He's made in such a way that the player can't sit out of range and level him with arrows. I guess there is a requirement in that you need a good enough sword or bow to do enough DPS.
Looks great so far, but I think I came across a bug. While I was preparing to explore a cave near the Mausoleum, the boss' defeat dialogue suddenly showed up in chat. I don't know if he's actually dead (I haven't exactly checked), but it's still a weird thing to have happen.

I believe this happens when the boss detector loads in but not the boss, so unless the boss always stays in the same chunk as the detector, this could happen. It's not really important for the game mechanics besides immersion, but that's understandably not cool. I'll look into it.
hummmm this looks interesting i might have to make a series out of this for my channel would you like to join me in it or in a few episode every now and then it would help make it more entertaining i would think

We downloaded it, and have 8 people working on it, So we have a few problems.
1. Beat the Atlantis Boss, Chest did not spawn loot.
2. Tantlus wont spawn at Artmis Temple
3. Stonehendge boss Auto died to lava? Gave us the chest right away?
Anyway we can get the commands for the Block for Atlantis, and spawn the Tantlus boss?
Also Batman's Prison, was there a wool block there?
Ok let me see here...
1. There are two bosses, and their "chamber" is dark and it can be easy for them to hide on the outskirts. Did you kill both? If you did, then you have my almighty permission to place a spawned in emerald block on Atlantis' pedestal.
2. Again, the boss could have wandered off somewhere, or the render distance of the detected player may have been too small at the time of detection, since the chunk must be loaded in order for the command block to execute the summon. You may place a Pillar Quartz Block on The Temple of Artemis' pedestal if you wish.
3. The Stonehenge boss is immune to lava, so it would not have died. This may be a render distance issue again.
4. No, there is no wool at the prison
It's really hard to troubleshoot with 8 people, but hopefully your experience isn't being ruined. The solutions I gave should keep you on the same world save, instead of redownloading and starting from scratch. Let me know how it goes!
Hey man, do you have a higher-res image of the full world map? I've downloaded the one in the main post; I'm just looking for the ability to zoom in more closely without pixelating. Thanks!

This forum constrains the proportions a bit. Opening the image in its own window makes it better. If you want to zoom more, just say so, and I'll see what I can do.
Yeah, I downloaded the full size version It's not low-resolution by any means! And it works just fine. But if you do have a higher-resolution version easily available, I would definitely love to get ahold of it. No worries if not, of course!
Loving the map so far! One question though, where exactly is the boss in the Grand Canyon area? I've been looking all over the village in that area and i can't seem to find it anywhere.

There's a mansion-looking place on the western side of the village. Clear it out!

Yeah ores are increased so diamond gear is recommended!
