note: if you cant beet this mini CTM dont worry you dont suck
and as for my first map i decided to make an insanely hard CTM which consistes on 5 wools each one prety small it was made in around 1 weeks so you can tell it is small its for the 1.8 if you dont play in that versión A LOT of blocks will probably miss this map was made to destroy your chrismas
hope you enjoy also this map is in english however not all my maps will be found in english only that way if the map in its original lenguaje gets a lot of downloads and feedback
I have a review for you. It took about 2 hours, all things included.
Overall, I'd rate this only 4/10
It wasn't very big, but that's forgivable, as you labeled it as miniCTM.
The difficulty was way to high. Even though you labeled it as impossible, an actual impossible map is useless to players.
Some areas required breaking a rule you set. That's poor design.
There weren't enough materials to do anything, really.
With all of that said, it was entertaining and I could tell there was some time and effort put into it.
Thank you for submitting this to the forums, I hope you keep trying and practicing to get better.
Here's something useful:
Before even loading up the map, I noticed the color formatting you used. Nice touch, but only the folder was different. I'd rather it be the title.
I began in survival mode looking at a door with 32 snowballs in my first two inventory slots.
Went up the stairs to the rules and noted that it was already in hard mode. Good.
The lowest-most sign tells me how to increase my rage; by deleting the map every time I die. I'll forgo that for reviewing purposes.
There's a rule about breaking blocks, so I will be careful.
I immediately broke this rule by opening the "Supplies Low" chest via destroying the sponge. I peered inside.
I took the sword and blocks. The potions seem to be swapped; slowness should be splash and speed should be drinkable. I nabbed the speed and left the slowness.
I also grabbed the diving helmet-sword-pickaxe, which I will not be using for breaking things as it will be on my head the entire time.
I set my spawnpoint to where I started, so I could continue if/when I die.
I looked at the gamerules. KeepInventory was on, mobGriefing was off, and naturalRegeneration was on.
I'll keep those settings.
I opened the door and saw the planks behind it. It seemed out of place, so I dug some of them out to find that you actually intended a secret.
So much for not breaking blocks. I will discard that rule (sorry!), as it seems needless.
Black wool is not in the victory monument. Maybe you should include another, single-slot area nearby.
The sign right above the hole was resting on white wool. I don't know if that was intended, but I took it and placed it on the VM.
I decided to enter the danger-zone and accidentally fell. With one heart remaining, I lasted about a second against the spiders.
I delved in again and managed to build myself a safety platform from which to compose myself.
I moved clockwise around the room, coming first to a few signs depicting some spikes and a hill made from O's and X's.
May be a puzzle, I'll keep it in mind.
The pressure plates on the floor just inside gave me Blindness and Speed II. Time to jump into the dark.
I saw a pillar with a command block and jumped to it. Instant death.
I spent some time fixing up the VM for easier access; mainly building a floor.
I made the snowballs into blocks for use elsewhere.
Entering the badness again, I found myself in a different area. The door was covered in water and a sign above it told me I couldn't place blocks, so it would be harder. I will follow this rule.
With the Respiration III helmet, the underwater traveling wasn't bad. I got some useless items, but noticed some out-of-place blocks. After getting more air, I went back to dig them up (not PLACING blocks, right?). The soul sand led to absolutely nothing.
I died to the mobs just after exiting.
I put the OMG and JUSTIN BEEBER into the chest at my base.
Finding myself out of blocks and without any way of surviving the pit, I began to dismantle the room.
Don't worry, it's not too ugly.
It opens right up to outside, but I'm not about to cheat.
Much.
I didn't look.
I did some suicide drops to get some landing platforms up.
The mobs have gotten very bad in this room. So many.
I made it back to the parkour area and took the left path.
I missed and fell through some webs into the void.
Time for a retry.
You're*
Happened to take the wrong path again. :/
Too random, no indication.
Died, broke the pressure plates. No more blindness, next time.
I will die in 3.
2.
Dead.
My sword broke. I'll hold off on making another.
3, 2, 1, chose the one in the corner, Dead.
... Did I go the wrong way?
Went a different way.
Will I make it?
No?
No way out?
Kill myself. Great. Nope.
Died again.
I changed to Creative to cut the retry time. Found the right one. Went back to Survival.
Jumped, teleported, kept my momentum, fell off.
Turns out that wasn't right.
Nope couldn't find it. Continuing.
Put on the ultimate helmet.
Acceptable way back.
Went right, CC, and found a ladder I couldn't ascend.
Died by spider, put red wool on VM.
Needed more blocks, broke the room.
Went to last area, didn't have a sword, died.
Made a wooden one.
Room is ugly now.
Almost made it to the end before being struck with death.
Wondered why the outside was made of stairs if the player is only supposed to see inside. Climbed on top.
Found a supply chest, maybe for making the map, but I'll steal.
Using obsidian as a building block is not a good idea for me.
I'm not needing food all too much with all of this death.
Got a wool.
Missing a few pieces, I went to look in the water again.
Noticed a passage, got a wool and some junk.
Somehow, I got Blindness.
Now, to look for Orange.
I remembered the ladder and placed some blocks to get to it.
I jumped for some blocks before seeing a skeleton.
I quickly went past it and saw the spawners. That's just mean.
Died on a ladder.
I don't have a pick, so I can't break the spawners. I'm just living with them.
Almost did it again, fell, ran to the end, found suicide sign.
I'd rather not do this over again for a non-recorded review.
Changed to Creative, saw the impossibility of the rest.
Made past the ghast spawners, and to the door.
I still have my water bucket, so I'll see if I can do this water drop.
Success.
Walked down the hall, climbed the ladder, blew up.
Went to creative for a while.
That section was phase 2: mob run.
After was phase 3: water survival and
phase 4: master road.
After that, there's a giant lava pillar that is impossible to float down in survival.
Found orange wool.
Flew back (out of the path) and noticed the signs being on colored wool. Hmm.
Switched back to survival and managed to pillar back up.
VM COMPLETE!
I guess that's the end, then.
