This is a survival map in which the terrain is built entirely out of pillars! Your goal is to survive and thrive with little resources in an unforgiving terrain. One wrong jump can be your last...
Difficulty is set to peaceful, feel free to change that to whatever you want.
When you open the world you will find yourself on a starting platform in which there are signs to guide you to getting started in your new world. When you start the world you will be randomly placed on one of the pillars in the world so each spawn might be different.
All three dimensions (Overworld, Nether, The End) are all made entirely out of pillars.
There are secret chests set around the world with both useful and useless loot.
There are also spawners of all sorts of mobs set around the world. You may think this to be similar to SkyGrid by Sethbling which is actually my inspiration to making this map. I wanted to create a similar experience with a twist and maybe a tad more difficult, considering there are limited items and specifically placed pillars, you may find this world to be a tad difficult to survive in!
Feel free to record this on YouTube all I ask is you place the following in your description, thanks!
Been playing for about 4 hours now got myself a nice little base going. I've found that the lower down the loot chests are, the better the loot. I highly recommend playing this.
Glad to hear you are enjoying it Beta!
Yes the loot at the lower levels are much better than the higher levels.
Pretty nice map you have here. Can't really say that the idea is original, but I do like the way you did the bonus chests and the spawners, and it certainly seems like there was some effort put into the mod. The personalized intro book was a nice touch. The mod has been fun so far, though I am just getting into the very early stages right now.
Not sure if it's something that you want me to find out for myself or not, but I have a question about the resources. Coal and Lapis seem pretty abundant, and I have seen some emerald ore, but what about the other ores? How do you find Iron and Gold, and is there diamond ore anywhere? And while I'm at it, though I'm nowhere close to the stage to do so, what about quartz in the nether?
Also, I have had some instances of randomly exploding TNT pillars. I assume that it has something to do with sunlit mobs and their fire, as that is the only explanation I can think of. It may be wise to revise those pillars by putting spawn-proof blocks on top of them so that mobs can't do that. Unless of course you want to keep that in for the comedic value, but I can see it causing problems for unlucky players like I almost was.
Never mind, turns out that there are actually pressure plates on top of the TNT pillars. You evil genius.

I think it's a fairly clever idea, but I can't help comparing it to SkyGrid. I have a strategy in mind...
One thing I definitely think would make this more interesting is to have some sort of dynamic spawn point.
Yes. My bad. I misspoke.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy my content! I hope you enjoy playing this map as well! =]
