OK so I picked this one back up after my initial ragequit silverfish poop ;p
We are really enjoying this map lots. The build quality is fantastic and the use of custom mobs and their drops is FANTASTIC
I have one question:
The moon squid area has a fleecy box in it - it got destroyed utterly by the "moon squids". I'm assuming that the area was a decoy because of it's flimsy (glass over void) build, and the ghasts having a somewhat stronger fireballs.
Please answer yes or no if this was the proper fleecy box so we know to continue looking in that area or move along
Ooh, that was actually a legitimate fleecy box. Up to now, I never considered that the buffed Ghasts could blow it up like that, and I'm quite surprised that my beta testers didn't point that out. Anyhoo, I'm strongly against blowing up the wool, so we'll call that an unintentional bug. Go ahead and cheat in the yellow wool for now and I'll add a spare fleecy box in the next version.
(I added a warning under the known bugs - this may also be a problem with the brown wool, just a heads up...)
Also, I'm glad you absolutely love those silverfish.

I didn't even consider that o_O I got inside really quickly, and since I was behind glass, they stopped firing Damn, that's not good, haha!

I got the wool by pearling in all of my tests as well... maybe I'll change them to normal Ghasts instead of buffed Ghasts. That way, it would be much harder for them to blow up the wool.

Hi CFG! I've been recently playing Version 1.01 for an hour now, and I'm very much enjoying the adventure! I have retrieved the white core, and have reached the first intersection, then I went straight for the Clocktower after sorting out my stuff. I went down the ladder.
I love the aesthetics so far. It has that 'chaotic' look in the starting area, and it looks really nice!
I haven't actually made much progress on the area, but I have made two skeleton grinders:
The first one is using the first skeleton spawner on the mossy pillars once you go down the chute with the lava. It has been fairly useful as of this moment.
After a few minutes of hitting the skeletons, retrieving their bones and arrows, I decided to head back up the ladder. I discovered that there was something shooting me from behind the lava. Actually dying from that trap and respawning back at the intersection, I rushed back to my death site, relieved that my stuff landed below the ladders and not into the lava. Using a few wooden picks, I began to mine into the sandstone, and discovered two skeleton spawners. I destroyed one, but decided to keep the other for a fall grinder. So here it is right now, it's a very simple design:
The water will bring the skeletons to that hole in the right, and will bring them down 23 / 24 blocks (Enough to leave them with a one hit kill with your fist), down here:
The good thing about this is that both spawners are close to each other, allowing me to afk and let skeletons spawn.

So far, this map is very enjoyable! Good job CFG!
I'm glad you're enjoying it so far! Those skeleton spawners will be very handy until you find/make an infinity bow (arrows are generally very scarce around the start of the map...).
The map looks and plays good but the second intersection is kind of annoying, the Atlantis city would look amazing out of the water, but you can't see anything underwater.

Are you using a night vision potion? It makes underwater exploration much easier.
If you're really having trouble, I suppose you could install a clear water mod or Optifine to see better.

Also, sorry everyone for a lack of updatage, IRL things have been disrupting my map making recently.
I noticed that the blue labelled enchanting books don't work on anything I've tried (weapons, armor, tools, random objects like signs). Is this a bug, or have I not tried something yet?

It's a bug with kamyu's populate chests filters. I tried as hard as I could to find and replace all of the broken enchanting books around the map, but I may have missed a few. Unfortunately, they are completely broken and do not have much of a use. Sorry.
A quick update to 1.0_2! What's in this update?
-Some of the sandstone is the new better-looking sandstone
-The Yellow wool shouldn't be blown up as easily
-Made some aesthetic changes to Volcano of Venom
-Made some difficulty changes to the Corkscrew
I may have found another issue - it's only a minor one but you need to know about it
In the chamber with the three sunken ships, I found white, light grey & red wool atop the masts of the ships.
So you might need to remove them or I might be tempted to cheat and use them as an early present to myself lol
We are now at intersection 3 and really enjoying this map lots
A very nice map so far.
Vlad
Man, you are a bug magnet! I replaced all of the dark grey wool there and never realized that there may be more. Thanks for pointing it out.

The spawner kit is for mapmakers, you do not need it to play the map. I'll be sure to make this clearer.
