Kopasz7, if you were to rate difficulty of the areas, from least to hardest, how would you?
i.e. What should I tackle next?
I've completed Feral Jungle, Thick Smoke, and Black Magma Island (as well as made Abandoned Town my personal xp grinder. )
I have looked at Fungus Gardens (not going there without a bucket of lava) and Tenebrous Depths (night vision potions) So, hmm, what next?
Music Box seems good! Oh and about Tenebrous depths...
The nether brick pillars have spawners at the glowstone part. These spawn water-breathing and night vision splash potions.
So, what area should you go to? Same thing I'm wondering. Tenebrous depths was pretty easy, almost a little bit boring. Crimson spikes... If you go there, to get the music box you MUST have a water bucket. Also, you get iron there, so you can make armor from that. Very useful.
Ender Tower... A lot of spiders and enderman. Very dangerous without the proper equipment.
I've seen all the End areas minus Cookie Islands. So I can't say anything about those as of now. For an easy one, Tenebrous Depths. For a challenging, but rewarding one, Crimson Spikes.
I just downloaded the map, I'll be posting feedback as I go through the map!
First life:
I scavenged most of my wood from the bottom of the record monument, and decided to start in Ghost Town, what with the stone and all. I was doing pretty good... but then I looked at one of the invisible Endermen. Died VERY quickly.
Think swarms of zombies, and skeletons. Then throw in a few blazes, and a few ghasts. That's what it's like. Except this is only one tower in the area. There's 4+ areas like this, possibly even harder than I described. All in all, you were clearly not in a good mood when you made this part of the map Kopasz7. I think it's a little bit much for the End, and even with my iron armor I was still getting destroyed. Nerf this? (btw, I'll complain less about how hard things are once I reach the Nether. I understand that area is meant to be hostile)
I wouldn't recommend this are until finishing everything but the Ender Tower and Fungus Gardens... and this area.
Pretty good... you have a title that makes me want to poop my pants (that's a good thing in idiot language :)) and the map looks like a Vinyl Fantasy map
(if you don't know what a Vinyl Fantasy map is... you're nothing to me :D)
But...I think you need some way to set apart the Music Box. I ended up going 'round and 'round the dungeon 4x before happening to spot it. I don't think black arrows is the solution (too easy) But something. An extra layer of glowstone, A sign on one of the nether brick pillars. Dunno.
Cookie Islands... I think they are way harder than Fungus Gardens, and you know how much of a problem they were!
Really though, I'd almost say that Cookie Islands are practically unbeatable with the resources given in the end. The spawners are in absolutely DEVIOUS places, and there are so many of them! Who puts spawners in staircases!?
Remember when I said that Fungus Gardens needed a Nerf? This needs it even more. I got trapped in a building. When I tried to escape, I got ambushed by 15 skeletons and 10 zombies. They all swarmed in. It's just... this is ridiculous! I'm playing on EASY and I'm still getting destroyed with full iron armor. I cannot state how tough this area is. It's so ridiculous that I may just transplant my base and inventory via MCEdit to the new version so I can play fungus gardens while this gets fixed. This just seems ridiculous for the End.

(Sorry bout that, I'm still havin' fun, but MAN is that area tough!)

Loving it so far!
Man, really? Scavenged the monument? There are already palm trees, and in the other direction is a town with tons of loot (even in the updated version). I don't recommend doing an area if it looks hard, then go the other way first.

Music box sounds good to me. Maybe record box?
The hardest area supposed to be the Black Magma Island, but i changed it right before the first release. Second hardest supposed to be the Cookie area that is HARD i know, but i will reduce the nomber of spawners at least. Then the third hardest was originally the Fungus Garden. Now i let you decide which one find you the hardest, it also deepends on the order you defeat the areas, and what gear you get.

Thanks, have a good time dieing and raging. (Just kidding, have fun! )

Then more glowstone, as you wish. With the 1.5 changes in this area you will hate squids, after the next update. Maybe i add some loot to the area, to worth exploring it.
Well, this doesn't seem like a CTM map but i sort of like it that you added bits to it from you head e.g. disks instead of wool i quite like so i might try it, i'm making a CTM map myself maybe you would like to test it when i'm done?
Well... crap. I'm stuck with three areas, and all of them are guaranteed to cause me problems.
Fungus Gardens, Ender Tower, or Cookie Islands?
And how should I go about transplanting my base with MCEdit?
Download the new version, extract to the saves.
Open mcedit, open the old version, select your base, ctrl+C, ctrl+L, select the new version, open it.
Then ctrl+V and place it in the right position, you van move it, if you cant place it exactly where it was, hold shift and move the box with wasd q and y (maybe on your keyboard z).
Really, REALLY diggin this map. Great use of the new "adventure map" features added into minecraft. Each of the three areas are really well organized and designed. Only problem I have is the minecart system. I had to enable "keepInventory True" to prevent me from falling out of the map and losing everything all the time I exited a minecart.
Quick question:
How did you get those zombies/skeletons to spawn all over the place in the accursed town? It takes about a million torches to shut them up!

In the updated (1.01) version i fixed the railway issue.
There are only 3 spawners there, they are long-range wide-area spawners.
Could you tell me what adventure map features did i implement? I can't remember any.
For some reason I can't even use the "Load a World" function in MCEdit. It spit out some code, and I saw the name "Midnight Gloom" near the end. Do you have any idea what happened?
I remember seeing an ##MCEDIT.TEMP## folder in the Midnight Gloom v1.01.
Also I renamed the folder (renamed to Midnight Gloom v1.01). That shouldn't affect anything right?
Never Mind, I updated my MCEdit version about... 6 major versions or so. That fixed it.
EDIT! And now I transplanted my base. Trying to take on Fungus Gardens. It's more doable now that the spiders don't have strength. What's the point of the area down below though?
ANOTHER EDIT! Done with Fungus Gardens. Much easier than before, but there's still WAY too many spiders. As you're fighting them, they keep spawning RIGHT NEXT to you, and the number of spiders keeps growing. Now all that's left is Ender Tower and Cookie Islands.

That's one disadvantage of the wide-area spawner, but the number of spiders sholud stop at about 40. Do the Ender Tower, and get the OP gear at the top. I'm curious to know if you can beat Cookie Islands with that armor.

I'll try, but man is it gonna be tough.
(How OP is that gear anyway? Haven't made it to the top yet.)
That's the same thing I'm doing. I don't have TMI and I don't work well with MCEdit.
Instead of fleecy box...
hmm.
A juke box.
Musical box.
Music box?
Also
Curious....

Well, it's pretty OP:
Blast p. 2
Proj. p. 2
Feather f. 4
Unbr. 10
Let the rest be a surprise.
