I have just finished v2.5 of my sky island map
I have built this map block by block without any help from anyone
but i am looking for feedback so reply to this post as necessary
First off I would like to show you the starting island

As you can see it is a decent sized island with almost all biomes
(more in future updates v2.6)
i have also added THREE more large sky islands and will be adding more
(update 2.7)

My plan in the future is to have a large biome for every small one on the starting island
(update 2.6-4.0)
And I have a sky island village island where i created my own
village according to what i think it should look like

Is it just me or is everyone copying my idea? Jk... Sky Island survival maps aren't new around minecraft. I guess I kinda started the craze though with my map Waka Islands. I believe it is the most popular sky island map yet. I'm not here to brag about my map. I'll try it out and see how it works out. If you want to check out my map I'd be grateful. LOL You apparently have NEVER played my map before. It is a challenging survival map with a story behind it. The islands take a lot to make as they are freaking huge and I have to place every single ore on my own. There are bugs, but I have worked hard on it. VERY hard. I have EARNED over 3,000 downloads and counting and I have a new update coming soon. My map is NOT relaxed in anyway, shape, or form. If you don't believe me try it for yourself. The islands may not like you that much >:3

Okay I have played your map for about 4 hours and have basically owned it. I see similarities to my map, but that is just the island. I really like what you have done and I enjoyed playing it.

I have enjoyed playing this so far! I will update on my progress later!
FEEDBACK:
Look at how Minecraft naturally generates the ores. Then look at the ores you have placed.
The village is too square. Make it more of an island than a floating rectangle.
Add an achievement to get full diamond everything. I did it within 30 minutes XD
I don't see a dungeon...
Add jungle tree saplings.
Thanks for making this it is so much fun I did almost everything within an hour though so I suggest you add more difficulty or add more challenges to make it last. I will update you whenever every achievement is complete!
yes very cool map but the difference between ours is mine is better
no the real difference is that yours is just a island mine has all biomes and it
is not a challenging map its a more relaxed map

It isn't just an island. It is a normal island, desert, and mushroom biome so far. I am adding a village for the wakan people in the next update and maybe another biome. The city will be either 4-6 islands joined together by bridges made by the wakans.

and yes the ores are easy to get because i didn't want my map to be to challenging

The best sky island map is Skylands.
The original one,with the hidden spawn-point-codes that would move your spawn using a program before beds existed and the several huge continents and the secret code to bring the player to heaven,the one with like 8 themed dungeons that were all randomly generated and all of them really goddamn big,the one made by Pudding Huxtable.

Anyone else notice that his "Forest" biome is actually a Taiga biome, but has no snow? Those are Cedar trees, not Oak or Birch. Forests have only oak and birch.
