-"God of Deceit" by Appoes-
1. GAMEPLAY: Wow, what can I say? From the beginning just where you spawn, the high mountains amazed me, I had that feeling of being there. Then advancing through each of the levels was amazing too, I could say my favorite part was the Machu Picchu place, it just felt like if you have traveled to that place, it was fantastic. The fights were somewhat hard, because I died a few times in the floating islands and I had to go back all the way back there and beat those mobs again... I ended up exhausted, but reaching a checkpoint just relieved me. At some point I felt I was playing a different game than Minecraft, it was just cool. But I got stucked in some parts, like in the floating city, I chose the hard way, but just at the first little island, I couldn't do anything so I searched a playtrough and I saw there was supposed to be a black tree, but it was nothing in mine... so I had to fly to the little island and continue as normal, sorry. In Machu Picchu, in the last puzzle, when you enter the small pyramid the entrance is supposed to explode and close the entrance? In mine did, because you could have just stay outside and wait the time pass and you can camp too just behind the wall with the sign at the bottom, I think you should fix that. The jungle part where you need to choose a path between parkour or walk into the jungle, I guess walking was the easiest thing, I found just 1 zombie in the way and that was all, no difficulty there. I played the spanish version, because I couldn't download the English version. Also, some signs were in english when they were supposed to be in spanish. Also the textrue pack made it look amazing. Anyways, amazing job, amazing gameplay, amazing ending, I hope to see more of your work, well done!
Score: 8.75/10
2.STORYLINE: You did an amazing work with the storyline, I actually have played the first part, and I can say this one was better than the first one. Relating the gods thing with the constellations and all that stuff of ancient buildings just make it MORE epic, simply because I love it. The option that you had to choose the ending that you wanted, was a great add to the story, everything was explained very well and made sense. Altough sometimes I had to read something twice to understand it, everything was done perfectly, good job.
Score: 9.5/10
3.DIFFICULTY/LENGHT: I can say that in the first moments, the battle against monsters were getting "better" as you advanced trough the zones, and that made it great. The hardest part was at the boss room, and I can say that blaze were spawning like mad, I could not even had time to read signs, but since it was at the boss part, the challenge was there. The lenght was just perfect.
Score: 9/10
4.VISUALS: Buildings and structures were epic, everything was amazing, from the beggining to the end. Altough I felt something was missing in some parts. In the giant road with water around, at the end you see a great lake of lava, I felt something was missing there, I don't know, I just had that feeling. Also at the very last part of "THE END", I felt that since it was the very last thing, you just rushed out to finish fast, but I'm not sure if that was your intention. Overall, the buildings amazed me, I could see the great effort you put into each scenario, keep it like that (I could see some places that reminded me "Goddess of Decay", like the abism in the nightmare, just saying.)
Score: 9.75/10
EXTRA: The best map I have played in a long time, everything looks and is amazing, I liked how you added music in some parts. Also, try to fix the signs in the spanish version. And in one room at the Mu, there are some empty dispensers, just nothing happens when you step the pressure plate, and try to fix the things I mentioned in gameplay. 0.25+ extra
Overall score: 9.25/10 + 0.25 = 9.5/10
I can say this is on the Top 10 maps of Minecraft for sure, if you fix a few things here and there, you can reach the perfect score. Congratulations for this amazing masterpiece you have done, I love it!

God of Deceit
by Appo24
General Overview:
Wow. I don't even know what to say. God of Deceit simply blew my mind. The builds were amazing, the puzzles were well made and devised, the scenery was BEAUTIFUL, the parkour was innovative, the redstone was greatly and subtly integrated, the choices made were all interesting, the music was fitting... I could go on for days. God of Deceit is one of those maps that should make mapmakers everywhere strive to reach it's level of quality. The gameplay was very well paced, starting slow but picking up and getting more difficult and more interesting along the way. I found it very hard to stop playing this map, even to the point where I missed a meal. The storyline just kept finding ways to make me want to know what happens, where I'm going next, what loot I'll obtain, what choices I should make to give myself the upper hand, and what I'll be fighting. Overall, there's no question that God of Deceit is a map of what some may call professional quality.
Gameplay:
As mentioned before, the gameplay in God of Deceit was very well thought out and would never cease to challenge the player. Starting with simply climbing trees to find a cheiftain and jumping over some simple Parkour-Over-Lava scenarios, the map progressed alongside with the players knowledge of the map, until the player is jumping across broken bridges and trying to avoid skeletons and blazes.
The linear style this map uses also helped make it more interesting. While it wasn't completely straightforward, God of Deceit used a style of travel where the player would have an idea of what to do, but would have to use his/her own wits to understand how to move forward.
One of the bigger details in the map I noticed was the music. The music was always fitting to the scenario, and really helped deliver the atmosphere. It's things like this that make a good map great.
Lastly, the teleportation system. Appo24 used a series of rails between portals to get the player from Antarctica to destinations all over the world. The rails kept the time during transport short, and left difficult transitions out of the question. While this isn't something completely new to minecraft community, Appo24 kept it to the point and made it interesting by involving parts of the story in the portals.
Builds:
I can't imagine how long it must have taken to design/build the things I saw while playing this map. From the Crucible in Antarctica, to the ruins of Machu Pichu in Peru, to the demonic underwater city of Mu, the builds in God of Deceit were impressive to say the least. No matter the size, they always contained great detail, and always flowed well in symmetry with the task at hand. While I have seen better builds in my time playing Minecraft, I will not simply disregard the effort put into God of Deceit. These builds are awesome. Great job.
Scenery:
The scenery in God of Deceit bested almost every other map I've played. The snowy mountains in Antarctica were the first thing I saw after I clicked "Play Selected World", and that was probably the best first impression I've ever had in a map. I didn't even want to go forward, I just wanted to sit and admire them. And it didn't stop there, the wildlife and mountain ranges may change but they never stop being impressive.
Sadly, there is one point where I was disappointed. When climbing the Temple in Machu Pichu, I could clearly see that it was a Flatlands world when looking out into the distance from the stairs. If you could MCedit some mountains there that would be much better.
Storyline:
I have to admit, with a name like God of Deceit I would have expected myself to see through the twists and turns happening in the storyline, but even with my knowledge of the fact that something was going to deceive me I still was surprised on multiple occasions. The plot of this map was very well crafted. With references to Goddess of Decay that gave me an almost nostalgic feeling and constant thrilling progressions, the story didn't just add on to Goddess of Decay... it improved it.
SCORE: 9.75/10
The only reasons this map isn't a 10/10 are the small things that could have pushed this map forward to perfection... Not what was wrong with it, but what could've made it the best map in the world. No matter how great the map may have been, there were always the tiniest of things that could have been improved. Sign placement, how some doors acted (I expected a lot more from the entrance to Machu Pichu than just an alternating piston door that was 2 wide), clarity of what to do in some places... like I said, there is almost nothing wrong with this map. But if you went the extra mile, this could be the greatest map ever.

Wow this thread took off fast
One thing I'd like to add, post your score if that's the sort of thing you like. It's not required to search for hidden items but I know some people out there like that sort of thing. There's A LOT of hidden treasures and areas.
Really Awesome. I've played through the first bit and will continue, but this is one of the best maps I've played in a long time so far
It makes me happy that you think that I was aiming to go above and beyond in this one Will be interesting to see how someone who didn't play the first map feels about the story. Want to see if it's convoluted for someone new.
I am shocked how well the map is doing, over 300 downloads in 5 hours. Someone over on another site already finished the map. That's even more shocking

Don't have to ask permission The first map had over 100 Lp's so doing one early is a good way to get some good views.
Said it once before saying it again, working with you was awesome. Hope your texture pack gets more recognition!
Hope you enjoy it man, your response to the first map made my week.
Yeah I made a mental note to keep track of it....I didn't
