I won't be able to check back on this thread till April of 2014. Good luck and I'll see you then! UPDATE 4/21/14: I am back. Checking all Stunzle videos. Updated map to fix bugs and improve some stuff.
Inspired by deazurain's map Bluzzle, this puzzle map follows Bluzzle's general ideas. Stunzle is filled with new puzzles and not any of those overused puzzle concepts. My goal is to provide you with very challenging puzzles to keep you thinking. Average play time is 2-3 hours.
I can tell you've put a LOT of time and work into this map...Oh man, that is just......well I don't know whether to call it genius or madness, but I LOVE IT!! This is a very hard puzzle map you have here. I applaud you for your attention to detail in this map, in all its complexity. Definitely one of the best I've seen! (Quote via PM)
Wow. I am breath taken. This map is really something. The level of effort and thought that went into this map is astonishing. It really makes you think, and leaves you with a really satisfying feeling afterwards. I would recommend this map even over Captain Sparkles' Deep Space Turtle Chase, and the classic Escapecraft series. Combined.I love all the new puzzle concepts, too. I'm glad this map didn't have a damn maze, like all the others. You are very talented.
First of all, I am just going to say it. This map is IMPOSSIBLY hard... The puzzles, of course are fun but challenging, and really need you to think... The last section is fun too, and anyone who makes their way into the Wall of Fame is definitely deserving of it ... I'd love to see what you come up with next, 19/20 from me!!!!
...this is already the best puzzle map, if not one of the best maps that I've ever played. The puzzles are ingenious and incredibly original, and they do a great job of making you feel fantastic once you finally [find] the correct answer.
Anyway, extremely fun, and was a really difficult experience. Very impressive, and I had a lot of fun. Please make some more puzzles like these. Bluzzle was hard, but this was incredible. Great work.
Also, just beat the map with a score of 15! I saved my gold blocks, just didn't find those [dang] levers... Whatever. I loved the map, excellent job with puzzle ideas and redstone. Thanks!
I mean creating this map probably took forever, and the puzzles, they were like wow!You must be genius.
Featured in o-minecraft.ru.Added to Blocktopia's server!
1. Play on Peaceful 2. The only block you can destroy are black wools. 3. The only blocks you can place down are black wools, gold blocks, and torches. 4. You are not to use the levers found from the hidden chests until the very end. I will tell you when you can use them. 5. Set "particles" to "minimal" in the graphics settings. Reason for this is, there are a lot of redstone in this puzzle map. The redstone give off particles, which in large number, generate lag. It's also recommended to set "render distance" to "normal" or less.
v2.0
-Various changes; fixed various bugs by updating map to latest version of Minecraft
- New "hint" near the beginning
- Pistons extend for longer periods of time in lvl 7
- Altered lvl 11 a little bit
- Major changes to lvl 12
- Added hint in lvl 13 v1.6
- Made blocks acted on by pistons more visibly apparent
- Multiplayer improvements in level 10; Player 1 can advance w/o blocking the path of player 2
- Blocked off an unintended path in level 11
- Changed two iron blocks into two stone blocks in level 11 (reason becomes apparent once you see it)
- Added signs signalling starting point to get to red wool in level 11
- Altered the beginning of level 11 so that players don't accidentally skip a vital clue
- Replaced a lever to a button in level 12
- The cost for skipping level 13 went from 1 gold block to 2 gold blocks.
- Added the option for 1 gold block to view level 13 in its entirety. Gave players a bird's eye view of the level. v1.5- Added an extra gold block at the start of the map
- Added a scoring system at the end!
- Added individual signs in each level in levels 1-9. Each level will have its own "Level x".
- Since Minecraft 1.2.4, light emitting blocks are now weaker. Added more light in levels 1-9 to combat this.
- Made big changes to level 8. It's now slightly harder, but at the same time easier... (Players can now see which blocks a piston will act on).
- Added a level bypass for the cost of two blocks in level 7 (aka button level)
- Added a route back to start point in level 10. A player is no longer forced into using a gold block if he/she did not heed the 'warning' signs.
- Removed 'warning' signs in level 10; no longer needed
- In multiplayer, a player could get stuck in a block and die if he/she was unfortunate to stand on a certain block when another player stepped on a certain pressure plate within level 10. A fix has been implemented so that the player gets trapped instead of getting stuck and dying. Another player needs to free his/her friend (not hard to do).
- Added a one-way door and removed un-needed pistons in level 10 (this is a multiplayer improvement)
- Fixed two spelling errors in starting room
- Re-worded some signs near the end of the map
- Added a sign that reinforced the rule: No placing down levers till the very end v1.4
- Fixed a cake exploit
- Fixed unintended ways of solving puzzles in most of the levels
- Added a bit more hints and made some levels easier to accomplish. Minute details here and there.
- Added signs in level 13- Added a new feature at the end (I cannot say what it is though)
- Decided to make four certain buttons be able to be pressed more than once (you have to play the game to know what I am talking about. I don't want to ruin the surprise).
- Added more items in rewards chest
- Made multiplayer oh so slightly more user friendly
- Fixed a bug occurring in multiplayer
- First ever conqueror solved the puzzle and gained access to Hall of Fame in v1.3 and provided the proof for it. Added his name in the map! Congrats! v1.3
- Fixed an unintended exploit within levels 1-9- Added two hints in level 7 (aka button level)
- Some pistons are extended for a longer amount of time in level 7 (aka button level). This just makes the level easier.
- Added a sign in level 4- Added signs in level 9- Added two hints on the whereabouts of secret chestsv1.2- Made start point easier to understand
- Added a section for multiplayers only- Added a "warning" sign and deazurain's name to level 10
- Altered level 10 oh so slightly.
- Added a chest minecart somewhere
- Modified the ending a bit v1.1

- Added a sign in level 10- Added signs and some light in level 11
- Fixed an unintended path in level 11
- Removed a block to make a jump a bit easier in level 11 v1.0- Initial release
Showing off a minimal amount to keep everything a surprise.
Since this is a puzzle map, you shouldn't watch these videos until you tried Stunzle for yourself otherwise the videos would contain huge spoilers
poledoo's let's play
Let's play by y2bd and Silent_Boom.

First Complete let's play of Stunzle by JGBBPT and company. Let's play in Portuguese. Check their channel for the rest of the videos.
These puzzles are pretty difficult, but all are solvable without gold blocks. The gold blocks act like coupons to help you solve or bypass a level. Five are given to you throughout the map and one is hidden. There are six hidden chests throughout the map that contain levers to be used ONLY till the very end. These hidden chests are NOT "out of the way" to find. Meaning, you don't have to walk all the way over there just to see if there is a chest or not. You just have to be observant to find them. Some are only accessible after you solve a puzzle within the main puzzle =O.
At times you may think something is unsolvable, that's great. That means you are being challenged. I assure you though, everything has a purpose. All levels are solvable without the use of gold blocks.
I really do think you will like this map so give it a try!
Q: Why is the name of your puzzle map called "Stunzle"?
- A: Stunzle is a word combined by 'Stun' and 'Puzzle'. Since you'll be stunned trying to solve each level in this puzzle map, I thought this name would be quite fitting. Also as this is a map inspired by Bluzzle, I thought I should keep the same simplicity.
Q: These levels are hard. Are you sure they are all solvable?
- A: Yes, all puzzles are solvable without having to use a single, precious gold block.
Q: I am one of the first three to get to the Hall of Fame. Can you put my name there now?
- A: I would love to put your name there, but there's a problem. Anyone can just fly to the Hall of Fame, break open the doors, and then report they completed the map. This is cheating. I need proof you made it there without cheating to put your name up. How to provide proof?
By:1. Showing me a video of yourself completing Stunzle and getting access to the Hall of Fame while playing v1.4 or higher!
or 2. Request to join my private server where I can witness you completing each level and getting access to the Hall of Fame.
Q: I've beaten Stunzle. That was too easy. Anything more?
- A: Stunzle is meant to be a difficult puzzle with concepts never before seen (I think). I've provided gold blocks to assist you in solving each level. If you want more of a challenge, don't use any gold blocks. Also I have hidden 6 chests, one at each building. Finding all of them is a challenge in itself. You'll be rewarded at the end of course if you do these things.
Q: I see what you are capable of. May you join me in staring a new map/server?
- A: Unfortunately, I have other duties I must fulfill soon so I can't get involved in any long term projects. My current attention is focused on other things including improving Stunzle. Sorry.
Q: Do you plan on making a second puzzle map.
- A: Most Likely not. Who knows. A whiff of imagination and urge to make another map could happen. But this map drained a lot of time in me.
Q: Can I put your puzzle map on my site?
- A: Sure, but please give me credit and possibly provide a link back to this thread. Check back frequently for updates.
It's meant to be a difficult puzzle. I won't make a walkthrough, because that defeats the purpose of the map if it's all puzzles. I'm waiting for someone to do a let's play though so I can put it on the OP.
I need some more feedback like you did. Most of my puzzles I didn't leave any "objective" sign, telling the players what to do. I think it's part of the fun for them to figure it out on their own.
Sweet. Thanks for the heads-up. The button level can be a bit tricky. Just remember you have a black wool to use. Know what to do with it and it will make the level pretty easy to do.
@macwinexpert, Thanks for the good words. 1 gold block left huh? Hmm, were the puzzles too difficult, or do I need to add some more information to each level? I want to know what sections of the map people most have trouble with so I can address those. Can you provide more details here or in a PM?
To everyone else, still waiting to hear from you. Waiting for those video let's plays as well to put on OP. Let's plays are perhaps the best form of feedback I can get as I can see what players have trouble on or if anything was unclear for them.
I just played the first level, and I think, this map is great so far! The button part in 1-9 was really difficult: it’s where I ended up using my gold block. I really loved the last puzzle in that room, though! In fact, the entire room was really challenging, and I felt satisfied whenever I got up a level (and upset when I had to use my gold block D:)
Well, I’ll be sure to give you more feedback as I progress in the map *goes back to playing it right now*
Looks amazing, Just downloading, but I noticed that your 'apparently direct' download is not direct, put mirror/alternate download or make it a direct download. I also suggest you make a .zip download as well as a .rar file. Ty.

The admin of o-minecraft.ru took my puzzle map and re-uploaded it to his site without my permission. I guess he must have really liked it. It saddens me he would take my work without permission or giving credit, but he didn't alter anything in the game, mainly my name on the signs. I'll allow this one to slide just this once. If you ever want to re-distribute, you must give me credit for the map and maybe link back here.
This map is awesome, the puzzles are very hard for me and it takes me a lot of time to figure them out.
I also made a video of the first few puzzles, but deleted it because most of the time I'm just standing still not doing anything and that wouldn't be very entertaining now, would it ?
I am glad you liked it, but I would still personally like to see it. I think this is the reason why I've been told by so many that they will be recording it but in the end, no video is produced. It's because they are just sitting around thinking. I can't improve upon the map till I see some videos.
Send your let's plays, whether completed or not, to Youtube user name "ZinicFTW". I realize that it may be "boring" in the sense that most time is spent on thinking, but I still want to watch them. You could also take this approach: Record your progress till you get stuck for a while. Cut recording, keep thinking, and resume recording once you figured out how to solve it.
ARGH! I can see what you meant when you said it was hard! I seem to be stumped on level 12 (I think it's twelve, the parkour one with the code you have to work out), and I don't know where to put the gold block, so I may end up having to cheat just this once to get through the whole map...
