You have to extract the rar, not just leave it there. If this is your first time installing something like this, check out WinRar or similar software to do it. Inside the file are two folders that will combine with the ones already present. Good luck!

As I'm sure you already know, the MegaUpload crisis has affected a lot of things. I regret to inform you this map has been one of the claimed. I don't have a clean copy of it on my hard drive, and though I could fix up the one I have, it would be greatly appreciated if someone could re-up SburbCraft if they saved the rar. I will credit you in the front page post.
This improper legal action cannot be forgiven, but I suppose this isn't the time or place to discuss that and I don't want to weigh down the topic with a huge political message. Rest assured, I am wholeheartedly against SOPA/PIPA and all similar abominations of justice like the Mega takedown.
Thank you kindly, sir! All of Skaia thanks you. So does Prospit, I think, but Derse is too grouchy. Glad I was able to introduce someone new to the awesomeness of the comic itself. :smile.gif:
Thanks! I finally got it to work! I just recently realized that there is a difference between a map and a mod... This is AMAZING! I'm so glubbing ----EXCITED!!!!!!
Hey, otherhand, can you tell me how to set the spawn point of this map to the SBurb house symbol? I am trying to put this on my server and the map loads, but we spawn in the middle of Rose's land. :sad.gif:
That's a really weird issue, I suspect maybe someone moved some blocks around near the spawn point? Sadly, I didn't have access to a server to test things on when I made the map. Another thing I could suggest is just using a plugin of some sort to change the spawn, or adding a warp to the entry area so people can still go there.
Here's a little preview of what I'm working on now. It's a less Homestucky map, however I'm taking the central hub and staircase monument ideas I used in SburbCraft to a farther extreme! Here's a very incomplete picture of the hub so far.
You'll be instructed to use Peaceful in the hub... please do so, Ghasts won't like you otherwise :smile.gif:
Expect far more than 4 portals, with specified difficulty levels on each! The worlds, however, will not be quite so expansive. Think Super Mario 64, with wools instead of stars.
Oh, and... if I still feel like building a 3rd project after this? Hopefully by then it'll be more possible to make SburbCraft Alpha Session :cool.gif:
Well, I had the hub all finished, and somewhere a little under half of the rest of the map done...
Then 1.2 came along! All my all-important nether portals are totally messed up, now!
It'll have to be until there's a new editor for Anvil worlds before I can continue with this thing.
I'm curious to hear if SburbCraft still works fine in 1.2 though, in the meantime. Any little things I need to update when I've got the tools, other than maybe making the "walls" actually up to the height limit?
Whee, I'm quite enjoying this. c: I've cleared LOWAS and I have one wool from LOLAR. The problem is, in anywhere that there is bedrock (both the side areas and the gates), placing a block crashes the game. I know I shouldn't have to worry about the in the gate areas (in fact, I only found that out by accident there) but it's causing quite a bit of trouble for me at the LOLAR side-area. I can't build my way across without it freezing, showing a 'saving chunks' screen, and then ultimately blackscreening. I'm not sure whether it's just me or not, so if someone else could test that it would be appreciated. I'm using 1.2.3, and there doesn't appear to be any other issues.
EDIT: Never mind, it appears to be a bug that was fixed in 1.2.4. Carry on.
Quick note to people playing this map? You're allowed to break and place whatever you want as long as they're not in the Doc Scratch apartment or in the portal dungeons with the spirographs above them.
I've seen a a few people attempting the map only using what's in the chests, and well... that's pretty close to impossible without cheating.
Umm this is probably a stupid question but I don't understand how to do this.... I downloaded the file and I got the texture pack working but I'm not able to create the map thingy or whatever. I watched a couple of videos and they all started on some platform with a giant sburb logo but when I try it I end up with a regular map just with sburbcraft textures. Can someone please help me?
hey, i downloaded this, but the texture pack doesn't work. drag my minecraft into the folder, but the minecraft logo disappears when i boot it up, and the wool all turns white, and the bedrock changes into this weird color. any idea?

Here's a clean copy. (hope this works)
BTW thanks, the map is great, and it introduced me to Homestuck, which I read in four days.
This is quite a good idea, I may try it at a later date. If you haven't already, you should consider getting this added to the CTM map central.

I'd like to bring it up to date, but don't really know what needs to be done.
