SburbCraft is a map set in the world(s) of Andrew Hussie's Homestuck. If you aren't a follower, you're missing out on a fantastic piece of work, but you can probably still enjoy the map for what it is, which is a "Complete the Monument" (CTM) style map in the tradition of Vechs' Super Hostile series but with a heavier open-world adventure leaning, and lighter difficulty in most places. The goal is to gather special blocks from the landscape towards a final goal to build a staircase and Ascend, then complete the final challenge above. The worlds of SburbCraft are large however, and it is 100% suitable as a map to play standard Minecraft survival on, before or after the goals or even ignoring the dungeons entirely.
Please play this map in Minecraft 1.6.4 if at all possible.
Newer versions have broken some of its features irreversibly due to the map using "hacked" portal tricks and other shenanigans.
A new map sits in its folder. It just so happens that today, the
13th of April, is this map's final release day. Though it was back in version 1.1
that it was originally released, it is only today that it will be discovered anew!
Consider this to be like "SburbCraft Alpha." Don't play it unless you're curious, or want to use an older version of Minecraft.
Most of its content is in the new one, too.
ALRIGHT, YOU REEKING BUNCH OF BULGECRETINS. I'M HERE TO TELL YOU ABOUT THIS MAP AND IF YOU HAVE ANY REMAINING VESTIGES OF SENSE IN YOUR UNDERDEVELOPED THINK PAN, YOU'RE GOING TO BE DISAPPOINTED IN YOURSELF FOREVER IF YOU DON'T GIVE IT A SHOT.

[I think you have bigger problems than that, when it truly comes down to it, my dear. Allow me to explain. SburbCraft is a pocket I have constructed to allow you, the ever-watchful Readers, to participate in an experiment of mine. Guided through my apartment, you will be allowed to visit four others' individual lands. You've been used to playing on your own for a long time, so I suspect... no, I'm certain they will be new to you. Hee hee.]
[There is a texture pack included, and I highly suggest you use it in order to have the full SburbCraft experience. And here are some guidelines I would be pleased to see you follow.
1. Play on at least Easy. You may use Peaceful only when you are in my apartment, if you'd like. I do strive to be an excellent host, and I would not want undesirable houseguests impeding your progress.
2. Refrain from placing or destroying blocks within my apartment, as well as the hidden bedrock Gate areas within the lands. I would not come into your home and rearrange the furniture, it is only fair, yes?
3. Leaving the Incipisphere and venturing past the black barriers into the Furthest Ring is, of course, forbidden.
4. If you find every hidden God Tier wool, you may complete my staircase and ascend to my master's chambers. There are challenges above not to be taken lightly. Please, do not create counterfeit wools with dyes or alchemizing.
5. Feedback is appreciated, naturally. And above all else do enjoy yourselves while you can. Haa haa.]
Just beat it, and I have to say that it was AWESOME. I found the 4 of the God Tier symbols hard to find, as I found the main 4 and some other obvious ones easily, while I missed the remaining 4. I do love that each land looks like how it does in the comic, and I give you props for that.
And the Lord English challenge maps? I was stumped on most of them, haha.
Downloads broke 88, Vriska is satisfied now. I'm glad you're enjoying the map!
Here's a hint for prospective players...
Each land contains 3 wools. One is located in a Gate dungeon, another is in a small side area accessible through the wall, and the third is hidden somewhere within a landmark in the main land area itself.
Anyway, I thought I'd clear up some confusion and clarify something!
This is a Gate dungeon. Don't build/break in these if you can help it.
This is a path to a side area. Do what you want with it.
I'm pretty sure it's at 8.88.888.88!!!!!!!!
Nope, actually I'm just playing with you ag8n. ::::)
You're really easy to fool, Torea8ore.
CRAM IT DOWN YOUR PROTEIN CHUTE, IT WAS A PERFECTLY VALID QUESTION.
POINT IS, THERE ISN'T A SERVER FOR THIS BULGEFLAPPING PIECE OF **** YET. IT'S PURELY A SINGLE PLAYER ADVENTURE UNLESS SOME GENEROUS TROLL SOMEHOW MANAGES TO CHANGE THAT. OR HUMAN. HORNS OR NO HORNS, I DON'T REALLY CARE.
I've played a bit of it. I've mostly just been in LOWAS (I found one landmark) but I haven't found any god tier wools yet and I've been having trouble finding resources (like iron). I've briefly explored the other three worlds though, and it looks great! I'm looking forward to exploring the rest of the map...
Try another land if you're having resource issues. :smile.gif: They don't all have the same selection of goodies. You might have trouble finding wood on LOLAR, but it's plentiful on LOWAS, for example. (In the form of weird blue crystal, of course...)
It was made under 1.0, but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work fine with the new update. :smile.gif:
The only thing I'd be unsure about is the ladders in the Gate areas, but if those glitch up they can always be bypassed with a little forgivable rule-breaking.
