Are you still working in this map? I wanted to recreate the whole Weyard D:
If you do, are you using vanilla Minecraft or external editors? Just to know ^^
I am still working on it, and was almost ready to put out an update in Adventurecraft, but the creator (Cryect) decided he had better things to do than to keep updating it, so due to the many issues it had, that came to a standstill. However, there is a remake of Adventurecraft being made; an sequel if you will, which I will be using to continue making the map. The forum for the sequel (called "Talecraft") can be found here: Talecraft
Looks good, i can do texturing, mapping and a bit a redstone but not scripting.
Thanks for your response! At this current point in time I don't need any more texturing or mapping. The main issue I had was with scripting, which I was slowly teaching to myself. Now, however, with the Talecraft mod, I'll be trying to learn a new system of scripting using the command blocks.
However! If you would still like me to release an update in Adventurecraft, let me know, and I will work very hard to make it... manageable.
This is awesome so far! The textures are great and the area that I've seen looks really nice! I've never played Golden Sun myself, but I reckon I will enjoy this map as it continues. I hope it continues. Is it continuing?
----------------
The scripting is also great. I'd like to help, but what you have been able to do so far is far superior to anything I have done. I'd love to see this map completed. Keep up the good work!

Hi there!
Yes, the map is continuing, but it will continue with the mod's sequel (TaleCraft, found here)
I will be releasing a final AdventureCraft version as well, though, as soon as I can figure out how to downgrade my Java version so I can use it again.
Thanks for the positive feedback!
Hello!! watching your signature in Talecraft's post, i've seen those small elemental symbols.. and i thought, uuhh, that looks something from GS GBA series... is he making a map? and... BINGO!
'Sup dude! Good to see you here! Yes I AM making a map!
Vale right now looks gorgeus!! And the idea it's amazing! i really loved GS series and i think those are the best RPG with Turn-base battle system i've seen in my life, (GS 2 it's much better than GS 1 imo).
I agree, when I introduced my girlfriend to the GS series she remarked "the battles are like pokemon... but SO MUCH BETTER!". Which is so great in both games, but, I agree, GS 2 is even better (especially because you can travel all of Weyard). I'm actually currently making a walkthrough for GS 2, pictures and all haha
Anyway, i wirte this post to know if you're planing in making psynergies, djinns, and summons!! those where really important in GS!!
Yes, I've dabbled with the Psynergies, and have figured out the easy ones, (Move, Cure, and Retreat), but that was with AC's scripting system so... we'll see what I come up with for TC!
Also, you think that there can be a way to make Turn-based battles in minecraft?? I'm pretty sure no-one has made something like that before haha.
Yes, I don't mind saying what I figured out for the turn based system, because (once again), I could only do it in Adventurecraft so far, so here's what it involves for a four-player battle (on the player's side):
Create a place where an areas "battles" take place.
Create four entities (Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind characters), which stand in a row (all surrounded by clip blocks), in that area
Have the player teleport to take the position of the 1st entity, and move that entity to a "placeholder" position.
Give player the text-based options of moves.
Once player chooses a move, he is TP'd to the 2nd entity's position, the 1st entity goes back to it's original place, and the 2nd entity goes to the "placeholder" position
Etc.
The biggest issue I faced with this was figuring out a randomizer for gauging the steps a person has taken, and then taking them into a battle.
Greetings! and i'll be looking forward your project once it's released for Talecraft ^^
Can't wait til I can!
I was also working on developing another AC project based off of the lego video-games (like the more recent ones: LOTR and Pirates). I'd already figured out how to code the "red bricks" so that was fun. Unfortunately right now since I updated my Java for TC, AC hasn't been working lately, so, I need to downgrade again or something before I can continue...
uhh....now the question.
Is this map still alive on AC?
Initially, the map had hit a dead end, as I had updated my java and the launcher stopped working. HOWEVER, following the steps from I was able to re-install AC this past weekend, and MAY begin finishing a working demo... if I have the time to do so. My number one priority right now is looking for my next job, so until that happens, I'm not sure what progress I can make.
BUT I really want to do it, so with a little more patience and some magical fairy dust, all our dreams can come true.
Just an update here, you guys! I began my job at the start of June, so given that the longer I work here, the more comfortable I am to spend my free time not work-working, I have begun doing a little more work on the map! The story is now progressing somewhat, and I am in process of building some new areas in the map.
I would also like to reach out to my audience!!! (However small that may be...)
Please answer the following questions within the spoiler tags, so as not to take up too much space!
Questions:
1. Is there anything you've wanted to see in Golden Sun games that hasn't been there in the three games so far?
2. Would you like to see any characters return from the original series?
3. Any new characters you'd like to introduce?

Hahaha I know, I know. I practically exploded from excitement when I found out the re-install actually worked!
Thanks!!
P.S. Again, When I have time, I'd like to also restart work on my Bioshock map, as well!!
