Hello.
I have wandered through the forums for a bit and i am displeased with the lack of co-op puzzle/adventure maps.
I was going to do a lets play on one last weekend but could not find one that the two players had to work together. so we just went with survival island. and that as you might guess is done alot and gets boring for people watching it on YouTube. I still plan on doing a lets play on a map like that i just need to find one. that is why i have mad this topic.
please can anyone post co-op (2 or more people) puzzle/adventure maps to this thread so i can see them and most likely make a lets play on them (YouTube channel in my signature below).
Thank you.
Here's something:Coordination. I did not try it myself yet, but looks interesting ;]
Hey, thanks for posting my map! Yep, it's a two-player puzzle map that forces you and your partner to work together. It's got some puzzle mechanics that I haven't seen before, plus some funny (or at least funny to me, heh) sign banter written both for entertainment and for hints. Try it, and tell me what you think!
Also, I have to agree with your original sentiment. Including my map and TheOneWithNoLife's map, I've probably only seen five co-op maps in my time on the MCForums. The lack of them is why I started making co-op maps in the first place, Coordination being my second.
I'm guessing that besides the complexity of developing puzzles for more than one person (it's quite hard not making the puzzles extremely easy or insanely difficult :biggrin.gif:), people also might not want to put the effort into making a map that has a limited audience - not everyone has a server they can host maps on, and not everyone has other people that they can play Minecraft with.

Yeah i was actually thinking of making a map that you could choose at the start if you want it co-op or not. but that would have to have a bit of red stone that would get annoying. and would prolly make servers held on computers lag. but i might do it anyway.

Hmm, but then does that mean all the puzzles would just be button/pressure plate/lever puzzles? If you play my Coordination map for example, there are quite a few puzzles of which I can't think of anyway to make Single-Player compatible, such as ones that involve sharing items.
I actually have Just released a new map aimed specifically for 2 player cooperative puzzle madness! You can find the original thread Here. It contains 4 unique areas, each with their own puzzles and challenges. After solving each area, you will be granted a new item to unlock the next area and help you along the way! The emphasis in this map was quality of puzzles, to try to make them as fun as possible, not any of those "FIND THE RIGHT BUTTON TO OPEN THE DOOOR!!" puzzles, but actual puzzles that make you think. You should check it out! :biggrin.gif:
Here is a small trailer I threw together for anybody who is interested ^^

Well with the item sharing problem you could have two chests for example and then if they choose to do single player a block (moved by a piston) moves ontop of one of the chests making it unopenable. just stuff like that. so that solves one problem.

So does this one work with co-op?
If i do it i will most likely have videos on it that i will link on your thread.
p.s i looked at that before and thought that it might be good to do.
