Yes thats where i got the name from! :smile.gif: I wanted to do some cities but there are already projects like that so maybe i will from skyrim? when it gets out ^^1
We have decided to go with vanilla, as there are a lot of stuff to do without more mobs or more funtions.Also speaking of functions i bet notch is going to add quite a lot of stuff in 1.8 right? So i guess there is no point of starting over!
Note: This map will slowly advance, as this is just the first update, i bet there are a few bugs or mistakes so i ask you all to report them on the thread so we can fix that, thanks!

You wouldn't need to start over, you can just copy the map into the AC map folder and start working from there. 1.8....well... I'm not thinking that Notch will ever add something like Adventurecraft. He won't make a trigger based system, won't allow for custom items/blocks, won't allow javascript customization or anything like that.
I'd be more than happy to make an AC port if the map gets popular enough (as I believe it will, because it looks great).

Just took a first look into this. I have to say: you´ve done an amazing work there! :smile.gif:
Great ideas in this map. I love the paying-system for shops.
Got some questions about the rules:
I´m allowed to build at my house, right? May I break some dirt blocks around there to give me some more space?
And am I allowed to build a crafting table and gear myself up? (like leather armor, new sword and such things)
First of all, thanks. Second of all yes you are allowed to dig in your house but just at your house, not making tunnels to somewhere :tongue.gif: You can also craft from everything you get, ofcrouse you need to find a crafting table somewhere or buy wood and build it.
Also i see you just registered, that really means a lot to us! :smile.gif:
First of all i want to say that we havent done the whole map but released as we were saying and i didnt want to delay it a week again (guess was a bad desition). But all this will be fixed in next update!
Lets answer now to problems you have told:
1)Creeper blowing up stuff: You didnt install careful creeper mod right? :/
2)Shops are in imaginable rule, which worked with my last map xera, altho many people said they didnt understand it, i thought an in game tutorial instance will help. If you want to tell me how would you explain that ill be happy to hear!
3)"I better do as the sign says, (rules tells me to)"
If a sign says "To Oxland" It doesnt mean you need to go there, but you should always follow the roads as they can lead you to towns and dungeons or instances (however you say)
4)Now, lets see an "instance" problem
First ill tell you a difference about quests and instances.
Quests are something like "Hey i need some help there, or could you kill someone for me?"
Instances are some ancient ruines or whatever full of challanges thats needs to be solved.
Quests are too but they have a pourpuse (helping someone else) while instances are pure treasure hunt.
I could rename it to "Dungeon" But that will once again remind people on something else, as a jail.
5)Problem with little equipment, this will be fixed. Its the first release of map and ye..
6)"It might be the (bad spelled) cards"
I made the cards, but i made them very carefully so i dont think there are a lot of mistakes, if so can you tell me one with a lot of them?
7)Problem of emtyness - will be solved in next update as well, then we should be done or almost done with the first continent, and there should be a huge main instance and stuff you need to do before it, like doing one instance, getting a code or a hint and then doing a part of that big instance.
And shinji i took the icons somewhere on google, they were player made bigger size copy of items.

Quick question about the creeper mod, though - is it the neutral, careful, or peaceful version?
