BASICS
*************
Play time should take 45 mins or there abouts
Can be played with 1-2 players
Can be played on peaceful but it was designed for easy and up (as there are monster spawners in places)
**************
RULES
**************
No destroying of blocks - clay, wood/wood planks and dirt are the exceptions.
No building bridges with dirt or any other blocks - the areas and puzzles are designed so you don't need to do that.
**************
HINTS
**************
Items in chests (except dirt and paper) are required for you to win the game. All items in chests are useful! :smile.gif:
Your first order of crafting is to create a diamond pickaxe! A DIAMOND PICKAXE! The caps are for emphasis!
A clay block often holds a secret or hidden pathway - be on the lookout!
Common sense: If its night and you have to journey somewhere, have a snooze!
In this game portals have a "sweet spot". This spot isn't covered by a torch! Look for it!
When closing an inter-dimensional portal it may be a good idea to take a few steps back just incase 'something' happens!
Have fun and good luck!

Please leave a reply if you found this map difficult, a fun challenge, easy, etc.. and if you want more! Im working on a second part right now, but I need some ideas as to what should happen. AFTER you have finished this map, please leave some ideas for "The Wizard Burgmund 2"!
You can find the notes as a .txt file in the WinRar file you saved to your desktop. Open it up and look for the "Notes" folder. In there will be all of the notes you need for the quest. Make sure to follow the notes in order!
I didn't make a thread here because it was mostly for the SomethingAwful forums.
Hope everyone has enjoyed it. I can't believe how many people have downloaded it since the Yogscast play through. Just insane :smile.gif:
Proof please?
You just joined the forums today (Mar. 20th /11) and have 1 post. After the main thread on SomethingAwful went down, wouldn't you have come here right away?
If you indeed ARE the creator of this map, then how do you like the post I made for you?
Proof please?

But I need proof.
Yes I have 1 post here because the map was just for the SA forums. Seeing that I got over 8000 downloads in 2 days from the Yogscast play through I decided to sign up when I saw your thread about it. My post on the SA forum about my map is here. I've PM'd you a stool sample and birth certificate for extra proof as well...
Thanks for the thread btw, hope you enjoyed it. Tell me what worked/what didn't.
I'm working on a new map and should be done in a couple of weeks :ohmy.gif: It's not a sequel to Burgmund as I think that story is pretty much closed/self contained.

No problem making the thread. I cant wait for the new map to be out. One thing that didnt work out so well was that the Wizard's dome house thing was so close to the spawn and miner's village, I went there after visiting teh watchtower. How would you like to get together with me and create a map together? Perhaps a quest type like this one? Let's PM back and forth over ideas so nobody on the forum knows >:biggrin.gif:
Awesome map, awesome story. Has some beautiful scenes, and I must say I was quite touched by the story line, and Burgmunds loneliness. Diamond for the maker!

Thanks! I know that I am not the maker, but for now I'm going to be taking credit for it as I can not get a hold of the creator. (I have a very odd feeling that the ".toggle" guy is an impersonator, so that's why I'm taking credit.)
I'll PM you something..
Awesome Map! Perfect mix of difficulty and entertainment. Beautifully done.
If you haven't downloaded it yet, it is a MUST PLAY!
I would love to see more from the creator!
Happy Minecrafting

The link works fine for me. Next time, try and spell properly and don't use creeper icons as puncuation. It's just too hard to understand.
