I think its just a one of a kind thing, I use a separate .jar that's vanilla so I can play maps like Kaizo, Black Desert without interference by mods.
Ah well. Its time for me to make a new save :wink.gif: Just gotta keep on moving (Not mattering I had a wheat farm. A WHEAT FARM. I grew it for like 40 minecraft days >.>)
umm, notch twittered that 1.5_1 can recover some broken saves.
also, if you keep them in dropbox*, they are auto-backupped.
yes, i do get more space if somebody registers through that link. but if you don’t have dropbox, you won’t regret installing it.
Righteo! I'll go check!
EDIT: Yes! Woohoo! While it didn't make the map playable I found a backup of Black desert!
Super awesome maps!!! Thanks for making these, I have only played the first one (Sea of flame) and it was really cool.
Very exciting but is also nerve racking. You werent kidding when you said "you die a lot".
I started Derping around a little with MCEdit and just generated a level with a HUGE amount of water in and around the spawn area. Lo and behold the same thing as when i try and play endless deep occurs, and it is laggy as ****. I think you are really on to something Vechs. Stupid server being unable to handle water. Sigh. At least i can still enjoy your map single player!
Also, if anyone else can attempt the same thing and see if they get the same results, that would be great. I don't wanna find out later that its something to do with me and not the server ( although i doubt its on my end of things)

It's probably just Minecraft itself. For the longest time, a lighting bug made Skylands unplayable - the engine would bug out when presented with large open areas (like Infernal Sky). If I had to make an educated guess, I would say it's probably a lighting issue for large amounts of water at varying heights in SMP.
The fact that SMP seems to run on different code than SSP probably doesn't help matters either. The bug will eventually get fixed, I'm sure, but it will probably be weeks or months...

That's awesome to hear, I'm glad you can get back to dying horribly.
Vechs, you have a rotten heart. Thank goodness, if you didn't, this series would not be here. <3
And another thing, when is Canopy Carnage coming out?
>.>
<.<
I sorta kinda stopped working on it when 1.5 came out. Blame the powered rail sections.
Really though, it's been forever since I have just relaxed and played Minecraft normally. I still have yet to see any weather effects though - I wonder if maybe I'm on the edge of a desert biome or something ... I don't think I am, there are grass and trees everywhere. Oh well, I guess rain is rare.
You're going to hate me for saying this, but "when it's done."

Ok..... What are you doing with the powered rails? I built 2 roller coasters, and a station system.
take your time. i guess nobody has already explored every single one of your maps. i neither play fast nor anywhere near perfect, but the time i have spent with kaizo cavern alone was enough to convince me that you have created enough content to play for months. i’ve just found intersection 3 now and i have yet to explore the planar warp and the ilvern ruins/mines.

Please slow down some more goddamnit. I haven't even finished one of them, and now I have to pick between Endless Deep and The Black Desert which I'm going to do next.

As someone who loved Endless Deep, and is kinda scared of the Black Desert, I'd suggest The Black Desert.
Still, I'm not too fussed, I'm busy in Kaizo figuring out how to get to this grass without accidentally blowing it up. :/ (Well, I'm assuming that's where the grass is - if I'm wrong I might just kill a ghast with my bear hands - or die trying, again & again).
Even then, I've gotta bring (grow) it back to the victory monument, right? Oh man, that sucks. >_>;;
Despite my temporary distraction of Portal 2 I find myself coming back here all the time to see how you're doing on the maps. Just in case you are wondering out of all the vast number of people who play your maps, there are still some of us looking forward to an urban map when you get around to it!
I haven't even started on Black Desert yet, so no rush with the canopies map :3
I just started a game in the Black Desert and found a creeper outside my sandcastle--which promptly detonated (I had literally just put my man pance on). That's a big crater I must say...
For Zisteau : I suggest you to do Black Desert. Not meaning that the Endless Deep is bad, but Black Desert seems a lot more fun to watch !
Then watch mine :wink.gif:
i think the endless deep encourages building above all; and i think nobody has done a endless deep let’s play for the reason that pushing water back to create dry rooms and so on might be, while funny to play, tedious to watch.

So i got birch on the Sea of Flame without hacking...yay!
Amazing maps again, btw.
Because I just love you sooooo much!

I'm a pixel artist who makes pixel things and maps! I also do line art occasionally.
I have two work in progress resource packs!
This is the second one!
And of course, by "work-in-progress" I mean "will never, ever be completed".

Vechs' Super Hostile map collection. PLAY THESE
I've started a new series of Minecraft awesomeness based on The Black Desert. Please check it out:
