This project is still underway! I know it's taking a while, but it will come (would you rather something hasty and bad or something amazing and slow?). We're going to release some screenshots soon of the updated version, followed by a beta test version for a select group of participants. Also, we will release a copy of the most recent texture pack
Dark clouds obscure the horizon. Fat droplets of grey water spill down from the heavens onto the blood stained streets. The lonely man stares from his window, safe inside fortress of solitude. Crazed parodies of former life hammer on the door. Vast skyscrapers of concrete and glass stretch out into the distance, obscuring the flashes of lightning. BOOM! Thunder splits the air. The man jumps, spinning, waiting for the dead men to come streaming up the stairs. But nothing happens, the solid metal door holding for now. The man turns, picking up his last supplies, a few chunks of bread, an old wrench, a small piece of apple, a mysterious piece of paper with some letters scribbled on it. He stuffs them in an old bucket quickly, the hammering at the door growing louder. The fluorescent lights above him start to flicker, the emergency generator growing weaker. The darkness grows nearer, the lights dimmer. The man steps neatly out of the emergency exit, sliding down the ladder into the darkness. Now is the time to run, to fight, to discover why. This time, the darkness won’t leave.

This map can either be used in a single player game or a multiplayer game. It is recommended for a single player game, as multiplayer can have lag issues. Fighting monsters with lag = incredibly difficult.
Demo out now!
So after a long, long time we have finally released the demo. Apologies for the wait. At around 330x330, with over 1100 spawners, here it is: Horizon City
1. There is 1 (one - un - uno) rule: No building a portal or cheating!It is still in what you would call an Alpha stage of release: All the items and buildings are in, but we are yet to test and tweak the items.It is also just a demo. There is no escape, no story line and nothing outside the box. The full release will be much better!

Designs and Submissions
You are more than welcome to build *modern* buildings and send them to me via schematic (upload to dropbox/mediafire as a schematic using MCedit). We will add you to the contributor list and maybe use your building in our map. To get ideas, look at buildings we have already made and try to use them as an example.
What we need/How to contribute
Buildings - make them and send them to us.
Note that, at the moment, we don't need any more buildings for the CBD. We are looking for buildings that would fit in to industrial zones (warehouses, production/manufacturing facilities), tourism zones (shops, parks, theatres, hotels, resorts etc.), slums (our current inspiration is the Favelas of Brazil, so look up a couple of pictures for that) and rich districts (Mansions, golf courses - very upper class. If you have wanted to make a mansion...now is your chance)
Graphics - banners/posters/promos etc.
Trailers/let's plays - please post - we might feature it
Music - upload a playlist of self made music as a soundtrack and we'll definitely feature it

We pretty much need everything. Just send in anything you can for now, specific things come later on.
As in the world would fit the scene perfectly if you did happen to use SDK's mod, but it isnt necessary to play.
We have also started to add the names of contributors in the original post, so please feel free to continue/begin to send in buildings and we will add your names.
I don't have a building design, but remember to put some hidden or hard to get to areas in the city. Valuable/useful things would be given to the player at the end.

Agreed. We do have 6 people working on it, and hopefully we will get supporters sending in their buildings
I agree, but the sheer amount of space we have to fill up (1,000,000 square metres) is a hard enough. I think it will still be amazing
