*diclaimer* I do not own, nor am I affiliated with www.minershoes.net. I am merely condoning it.
I used this online editor for all of my skins when i first started, it is wonderful. In the editing area, all of the body zones are specified, making editing 100x simpler. Also, every edit you make is immediatly tranferred to a 3d model, giving you an idea of your final product. The process of making a skin this way is a breeze for anyone, no knowledge of the composition of a skin is needed. Other features include the ability to edit a given username's skin (this does not affect that username, it merely allows you to edit a copy), export and import skins, add to your skin using a vast array of pre-made skin add-ons from the armory, and browse made skins.
All in all, this is one of the easiest ways to make a pro-looking skin easily and without the use of progams other than your browser.
-the standard editing interface (someone is editing steve!)
-using the armory to add pre-made designs is very simple, and it can have stunning results!
Please check out the website! they are amazing! Link below link to editor
It's a good idea to spread the word too, can't stress how awesome this site is.
I know! it is a wonderful site! I made this post to tell the world! I wish i had known about this when i was first looking for a custom skin. Anyway, i thought it would make a good first post.
Knew this site back when there was a 'sneedcool' in the middle after 'miner'. Was good then, as far as online editing goes, but last time I tried to visit, it redirected me to the url in the op, which refused to load, gave me a 'page not found'. Besides, I prefer skinedit for creating my own and the skindex for downloading others' (to use or to edit).
Except the part, you know, where it isn't that exceptional.
It's useful for beginners, yes, but it lacks important tools. It doesn't have dodge and burn/shading. SkinEdit does, as well as having the Run Animation in it as well, along with being offline. SkinEdit is a better, and easier, tool to work with.

I know skinedit is better! I said minershoes.com is good for online editing. I never said it was better than other offline editors.

So, because it has a limitation on it's use, it's somehow better?
My internet is offline at certain times, so I usually play MC when it's up, and work on skins when it's down. If I used an online editor, that wouldn't be possible. So, Minershoes is a limited, and less useful, tool. And it's generally only good for beginning. Now, don't take it as me bashing it. I made my first four skins with it, and it was good to learn how.
But you won't be able to make exceptional, or above average skins with it.

God, I feel dirty for using that 'phrase', but seriously. He said it's not better than offline editors, it's just best of the online ones.

Which is saying, not only is it worse, but it's more limited.
I was trying to say that Minershoes lacks MANY important tools to make skins. It's not an efficient tool either. SkinEdit, is much easier to use, and much better. It doesn't matter whether it's offline or not, it matters how good the tool it.
