We are no longer looking for a skin artist. Read the post referring to this below for more info. Thank you all for those that applied.
Hello there,
So what is this?
For a while now, about a month now. My team and I have been working on a server theme which we have taken the time to carefully plan out everything from content to gameplay.
I myself am a bukkit plugin developer so the server will have a lot of custom plugins and therefore be more unique than a lot of servers that get launched daily. Already 4 customs plugins are complete.
The project itself has been in the works for 2 months or so. I started by myself and got some people to join.
What we need now is a skin artist, one or two to work on a skin pack for the server.
The theme is medieval with a tiny bit of fantasy. There is not a bunch of races like there is normally in fantasy games. No, just magic, thats the only fantasy there is about it.
What's in it for me?
If you're interested in knowing more about the project and maybe joining the team, leave a post. If you want to do it and see whats in it for you but not necessarily join, still leave a post. :biggrin.gif:
Anyone who does post will be contacted back via private message.
Also, if you have some samples of medieval skins you've done before, that's a plus. If not just show whatever you've made.
Okay I fixed the apron and eyes and made him harrier and dirtier.
Yes, that's more like it. I have my personal preferences of how a blacksmith looks like but that definitely looks more like a blacksmith than your previous one. :wink.gif:
Of everyone who has posted so far we've come to the conclusion it'd be great to see what you can patch up within a day.
So we'd like to see a sample of a knight and any other medieval character that comes to mind. This is basically for us to see your taste and a little bit more of your own style.
Again, this is just whatever you can patch up in less than a day. So its not something of perfection and that is taken into consideration.
I'm aware not everyone who replied is keeping track of the comments here so I'll also send this as pm to anyone who does not reply here.
Also, I would probably play this character, or something like it <3
EDIT - If I can find an iamge of a "knight" that I can do and make that would I be able to show you?
Hmm yes, that would be fine but we want you to use your imagination... But than again choosing a knight out of all the pictures you can find in the internet and putting into minecraft style skin does require you to show some of your taste and style of doing things. So yes definitely, go ahead.
I have actually created about 20 different 'templates' for medieval type skins that I use for my "knights of the order" Factions skin line. I've recently been going back and re-doing some of them, so this one is from my updated template that isn't quite released just yet. I decided to match him to the sorcerer I did earlier, who is also made from my un-released new templates.
Thank you all for applying. We have contacted those that we think are more suitable for the position. And therefore we are no longer looking for a skin artist.
However, if anyone is interested in knowing more about the project and would like to get involved one way or another we're always looking for new additions to the team. So pm me if you're interested.

Here is my medieval skin. I was going for a Merry Man / Forest Wanderer
I can change his mouth and remove the armbands if you want.
I have also made a Joe Condor skin upon request and a Boston Bruins player skin. I can show you them if you want but they are not medieval.
Some recent work:
View Dragonfire Sorcerer - Updated as promised!
View Enderman Hunter (Prepared for 1.8)
View The Conquerer
View Orcish Shaman
Looks more like a 1800s bald English colonizer/pilgrim rather than a dirty, tough looking blacksmith from the 800s - 1000s

Your blacksmith is good enough. From you we'd like to just see a knight sample.
