Originally designed by Santiago, this resource pack focuses on the world as it's nearing its end. While most other post apocalyptic maps are set after a great disaster, The End is Extremely Nigh is set during all the chaos. Though the death of the world was not instant, a slow decay still consumes it. The player must fight hordes of mutants and infected in order to survive and rebuild the world.
This is the new thread for TEiEN resource packand all updates will be posted here
Currently a small team of dedicated members is working on the pack;
Gamin' Wombat

If you have experience with pixel art and like to be part of the team feel free to send me a Personal Message
We will be updating the pack monthly with WiP updates, until we meet 1.6 and I'll move it out of the Wip thread. I'm hoping to meet this goal by the end of this year.
We'll need some images for the forum so it'd be awesome to post some images for the main post.
The pack as it currently stands - I will update with new and nicer images soon
Disclaimer-This pack is a Work in Progress and as such some textures might be missing, unfinished, and/or placeholders. Reporting any discrepancies and errors increases the quality of the pack. So I encourage you to do so.
Feedback and Criticisms on the pack is greatly appreciated and encouraged
Oak Boat - Oars still need some more attention though
Cleaned up the file
Compressed textures to save size.
Decreased number of the yellow ground flower
Redstone ore matches wire
Spider sounds
Villager sounds - still Wip
Random rotating ore - to add some 'variety'
Doors are a little nicer - not really noticeable though
Ice Step Texture
Ladder particles fixed
Wheat is now a stalk
Bale of Hay Texture
Coal Block Texture
Random Lilypad - Test
Improved Tall grass - Small tree
New Font
Water is clearer and better - still not quite animated ;P
I still probably missed something
Optifine Required
Improved Lightmap
Darkness
Vine CTM
Swamp Coloration
Redstone wire fix
Some CTM for planks
CIT (also requires Optifine)
Stone axe - sharpness or unbreaking
Stone sword - Rename too Wrench or Lead pipe
Iron Sword - knockback
Iron Armor - Rename too Masked
Diamond Sword - Rename too Diamond Saw
Diamond Armor - Rename too Hazmat or Visor or Spyder
Bow - Rename too Winchester
How to install the pack:
1)Download the pack from the link posted
2)Run minecraft 1.9, go to Options, Resourcepacks, and Open Resource Pack Folder
3)Drag the downloaded zip into the folder.
4)Select the desired reosurcepack
5)Enjoy ----------------------------------------------- - -
If you want the full experience you'll need t download Optifine for minecraft 1.9 or 1.10
Installing it is as easy as running the java file.
Also although this pack is compatible with 1.9 and 1.10 it's not complete and as such not all textures are finished ;P
- Pigeons - Fix 3D Buttons - Finish 3rd person tool view - Rain - More Sounds - Granite - Actually make Acacia textures and Dark Oak - Some more stuff
Thanks for your support.
(I will make this post a bit fancier and more organised later on, probably when I add pictures) (I made this new thread so that I can directly edit the main post with images, updates, and downloads. because crecs has been a bit inactive lately and it got sort of messy)
I might do weekly posts as well with meaningful content, just to show what I've sort of been up too. Some will definitely be fuller than others. But I'll keep updating. I've been rather busy irl so I haven't had a large amount of time to work on stuff, so it's all sort of small features.
Most images are work in progresses. This is showing what I'm working on and have accomplished in the past week
Some WiP stone
The New 3rd person shovels
Pickaxes
Hoes
1.9 Boat
1.9 picture frame fix
A couple of the 3rd person items still need to be corrected and altered, especially the golden tools.
The update this month will most likely include these fixes along with some gui changes that came about in 1.9, chickens, rain, snow, redstone wire 'fix' some other misc stuff I haven't thought of yet. Next week will probably show off the new chicken texture and the rain and snow (all need a bit more work) . . .
I'll also throw this in. A font that I was trying out.
Hey guys, I have a ridiculous amount of CTM, alt textures, new textures (tall plants) mod supportm and random mobs that I made for this texture pack mostly by splicing and editing existing textures. If you want I can post a link to download it, could be some very useful resources.
(I also made a pack that works entirely in vanilla, so the wool and other customized textures are more compatible)
It's good to see you here too . . .Yeah I plan on a more vanilla approach to the pack. Though I might be able to get a way with sort of combining them, because it is odd having the roads burn away after a lightning strikes them xD. So i'll move some of the harder materials over to the clays which will leave room for some more wool styles. I am gonna test some wallpaper concept styles using the rug and some other stuff ;P . . .
On a side not some foliage would be nice. I am working on making the grass a lot more wild and overgrown. I'll accomplish this by adding in new and random grass block models with small grass attached to the, (the current grass height). Random textures will be added to make the grass a lot more weedy and diverse. Then I'll increase the height of the texture for grass, so overall it should feel more overgrown and unkempt.
Yeah that sounds good, you can upload it here. Is it fine if I use some of them in the pack, with proper credits. Also is the an improved version of the last pack you uploaded, as I still have that laying around.
I should probably post a pic or two. ;P
Just some fixed up water . . . It's not animated yet.
There is a zombie in the picture ;P
I was able to create this with edited light maps using optifine.
Nights are also a bit dark though lighter because of the moon light. So the player should still be able to make out some shapes during night. Just not in caves ;P
PS: I have some ideas to make minecraft harder with the texturepack without changing it too drastically, such as an overhaul. Some of these ideas are darker nights and caves, the other is lowering the volume of hostile mobs so the player shouldn't be able to hear the from as far away. I'll make the sound edit as I create and add new custom sounds for mobs overtime. I'm working on spider now as it seemed rather easy so it's a test for me ;P . . . skeleton or zombie should be next month.
I remember showing a wip image of this a long time ago, Well I finished it up today. I present the Tomato Crate.
The sides need a bit more attention, and I might end up trying to add more depth to the top (if it doesn't make it look to cluttered).
Later on I plan to give it a 3d model so the slats protrude off with probably about 2/3 full of tomatoes. When placed on the side I'll have it be spill out and when placed upside down I'll probably just make an empty crate or something.
This will be included in the June update
. . . So what do yah think of it. I also don't recall if I showed the wheat model switch- well it's in the second pic ;P . . . I think it was in the may update.
OC0, what mods did you make support for? I've been wanting Gamin to add mod support, but we have to wait until the vanilla textures are done, of course.
OC0, what mods did you make support for? I've been wanting Gamin to add mod support, but we have to wait until the vanilla textures are done, of course.
Well the big one was tale of kingdoms, but I had plans for Twilight Forest too.
The CTM folder has connected textures for bricks (seriously try this one out, it's one of my best) stone bricks, carpet, wood, logs, glass, grass (rocks/flowers scattered), iron, sand, and some other blocks. It also contains random mobs support (added military zombie)
The folder labeled "Vanilla" has more vanilla textures for things like the cactus, stone slabs, stone bricks, cobblestone, mossy cobble, cracked/mossy/circular bricks, and wool. All textures come from the original pack, so no need to worry about getting in trouble.
Other than that, It includes tall grass, tall ferns, podzol, and acacia+dark oak textures.
The "Characters" folder is just all the necessary pieces to assemble characters or NPC's for mods, personal use, or other projects.
Hope you put this all to good use, and I would majorly appreciate a credit spot.
(If you need me to take this post down just DM me, I'll send you the link personaly)
I was saw that the zip was taking a bit longer to download and it's file size was significantly larger than much more finished packs. So I removed some duplicate textures, and compressed most textures (without any noticeable loss in quality). The other thing that made the file much larger is the music and records. I removed them once again -.- I could make it into an alt music pack if you'd like to download it separately. It'll only have about 6 records or something. Or you can wait for if/when we get a music pack going.
The June update shouldn't be as tedious to download as the May one is. I don't know if I'll fix the May file. Being that the month is half way finished.
. . . No real physical work ready to be showed yet, I'm working on the snowfall . . .
I think I planned the rain to be released this month, but I'm gonna push it to July because I don't want to rush it.
So I didn't forget about the monthly update, I've just rescheduled it too every other month. This will allow me to have better higher quality content by giving me more time per update.
I don't know if I mentioned this but I had to redo the chicken because the original image size was too small. So I am working on that at the moment.
This update in July will be more refined and will include previously mentioned projects along with some new additions. Such as the lightmaps, I will spend more time on it too really get the colors right.
If you are into the more work in progress version, I can post it . . . it just won't be that good. . . .
And what is your opinion on randomized ore blocks, It'll probably be just a couple variants (2-4) and just provide some variation.
As a side note I feel weird posting an 'update' without pictures so . . . .

Hello.
First off, I wanted to apologize for messing with the textures in the pack, but I was only trying to fix things for my own gameplay. Don't worry, I don't distribute other people's packs, even if they give permission. Anyway, the reason I am saying this is because I think I figured out how to fix your redstone problem. All I did was the names of redstone_dust_line.png with redstone_dust_line_overlay.png, and vice versa. When I tested it out in SSP, it worked. Those were the textures I tested, but I can assume that this method will work for the other redstone_dust textures. I just wanted to let you know, in case you didn't know that already.
Again, sorry for messing with your textures for my own reasons,
~ dstroyer11
PS if you want proof of this, I can post a picture of this in action.
It's fine tampering with the textures . . . you don't need to apologize.
I managed to fix the redstone using mcpatcher, though I plan to make a work in vanilla. In the meantime Mcpatcher does fine.
Currently the only real issue with redstone is that in 1.10 or 9 they changed the way it's laid out in the word so I'm working on makeing it work with the new system while still looking like the old.

Oh, well, I guess I should've mentioned the version... Well, at the time I posted previously, I was using 1.7.10, I think, due to 1.8+ breaking random paintings for maps made in 1.7 or older, such as the 1.4.7 LAST DAYS map, H.E.L.L. I don't know why, though...
Anyway, when I checked the original 1.4.7 TEiEN texture pack, I noticed that the redstone dust line pngs were called redstoneDust_line.png. I can only assume that Mojang/Microsoft changed the name to avoid an error or something. I'm no programmer, but from what I learned in Web Design class, you shouldn't name files that other files use with capital letters or spaces, hence the lowercase letters, and the underscores. Though, that's besides the point. The reason I am mentioning the 1.4.7 is that I can only speculate that they change it so that then can add new files later, and/or make the creation of future resource packs easier.
But I'm just theorizing.
Anyway, thank you for your time, and good luck with bringing this great pack back to life!
~ dstroyer11
PS If you need any help with figuring out the problem, just ask. I'm always happy to lend a hand whenever I can. Although, I won't be able to help with adjusting the textures directly, since I only have MSPaint, and that won't work when it comes to transparent parts.
Yeah no worries, at the moment I won't support other versions of minecraft other than the latest. Pretty much 1.9 +
So most of my bux fixing is done with those versions. I know earlier versions of the pack are somewhat broken and unorganized. But I'm just gonna ignore those it's easier
In 1.9 + I have fixed the redstone issue using optifine, and I am almost certain if you were to use that in an older version of minecraft it'll work fine as long as you're running optifine. Though like I said I'll also make it work in vanilla eventually, but that'll only be for the latest versions.
I think the version above 'fixes' the redstone but only partially . . . it still works though ;P . . . but the file size is abnormally large. I fixed that in the newest unreleased version that'll be out next week . . .
So since it's the last weekend of the month, and last day . . . I updated the pack for this month. The download can be obtained at the first post. But I'll post it here too ;P . . .
