Materialized is a 128x128 resource pack for 1.9 snapshots. It was based on simple and modern Flat Design and Material Design by Google, hence the name, Materialized. It features many drop shadows and layers that similar to real Material Design white it still retains the original Minecraft texture.
BETA TEST
Materialized is still in beta testing, so there will be many distortion/unfinished texture.
It looks like you just stole Mojang's textures and put a filter over it, while giving it a flat, texture.
Those grey pebbles on the dirt really stick out, it doesn't look good. The shadows on the items look terrible, it looks good in the gui, but bad in hand.

I know those problems, like dirt textures and items. It's one of the problems of my resource pack that can't be fixed. When you say that I stole Mojang's textures, I actually make my resource pack based on original texture and material design, while trying to not drastically change the original feel of Minecraft.
Huh, I was wondering what item sprites would look like with that trendy dropshadow just the other day... it doesn't appear to work for items in-hand, though.
I'd suggest choosing something besides Google's UI design scheme as inspiration for a resource pack, though. This looks doesn't look much different from the other default edits out there.

The items can be fixed, you just gotta separate the transparent and the opaque pixels by at least 1 pixel, and since your pack is in a high resolution, it'd probably barely be noticeable. And also the pebbles can be fixed too, just not make the gray so dang harsh or at least make it look embedded into the dirt. Also giving the pebbles varying, sometime subtle colors will help.

Very nice pack! I love the sort of futuristic and clean look! Almost makes minecraft look like a next-gen game!

I do texturing, but I am not a graphic artist. Please note that when you look at my texture work.
Thanks, man

Thanks for the tips. I will continue my resource pack later for a week or so.
I update the resource pack. No new screenshots for now
Awesome! I'm a big fan of MD so I'm glad to see this.
Suggestions and comments:
You might also know that the background is not typically light blue, but I actually like it because white would be too in-your-face in Minecraft
