"GRAH NO ONE ASKED KYS NOOOO AGREEMENT THIS ISH INTERNETS YOU FOOOOOL!!!"
That was already the plan Dony. XD
Also... Rascal, do you have any musical suggestions for us? We're setting up the soundtrack, and we could use some. You were the music guy until Rux Ton came along (...who won't answer my messages...), so you must have something..?

Most of my music was myuuji. So soft dark piano and ambiance. And I had some placer songs from the fallout soundtrack. For sounds I had stuff like creaking metal, falling stone. All with a distance effect. Stuff you might hear in a crumbling city. I liked the sounds. My personal fave was the Pssst whisper as a cave sound. I set it for both ears (if you are using headphones). Can get a good scare out of the player.
I still want to take generators on the tv vs generator debate. A generator is a lot more practical for survivors to have. An active and deactivated generator works perfectly. As a tv, why would they still be powered during the end of the world? There will be very few signals in the last days. Mostly news channels. But after that, nothing.
But it I like the idea of two packs. Having a glowing tv with static does add a horror effect. To bad we can't cone the glow.

I'm not sure what else would work for the apocalypse, music wise. Rock is out of the question, nobody wants 50s Jazz popping up randomly, and hard synth wave is for action. (Perturbator anyone?
I can only think soft music and ambiance are the best options. If you want a list of myuuji songs, I'd gladly give you one. His older songs work better.

You could post two packs with separate textures for the end. Lots of work but worth it! I really like both ideas! Having more 'ruined' blocks from grunge world really sets the apocalyptic theme.
Pre-Order the 'Letters from a Dead Earth' game now and get the DLC Season Pass for just $40 extra! We will be releasing the 'End is Extreamly Nigh' pack first to update our game and put in all the missing content we won't give out at the full release.
Next is the Grunge World DLC. The Rebuilder travels to a settlement deep in the mountains then wakes up from a virtual simulation with no memories of how they arrived. Traverse the ruined landscape, fight hostile robots, and find a way back home.
Finally is the Above Earth DLC. After getting word of the abduction of a young girl, The Rebuilder fights through the Jefferson County military lab and takes a teleporter to a satellite floating above the planet. It's inhabited by prewar scientists who's experiments have gone horribly wrong. Find the girl and bring her home.
*Totally wasn't checking every 10 minutes for responses...*
I like your suggestions- mostly because you're siding with me, and because pianos rock. I'll have to check out "Myuuji", whatever that is, and start making a list.
Personally, I'm a fan of Elegy Music on Soundcloud. I've suggested songs like "Black Wasteland Sand" for the Ender-Dragon (Eldritch Abomination if I win!) fight, "Evolution" for a creative mode track, and "Indian Summer Leafes" for an Overworld track. I really like the idea of there being at least a couple of really old songs in the soundtrack- because it gives a feeling of nostalgia and loss.
I'd like to ask though about the circumstances in which you left. Did no-one seriously suggest using BOTH borrowed AND custom music?
Great DLC Ideas, by the way. We won't use them. (Though you're seriously giving me the map-making itch...)
Extra Textures are just going to come in a single file for those who want them. When we make gold lead, all of the gold stuff is going in there. Any removed textures are going in there- like the old End Stone and Netherrack. There's even gonna be a pressure plate that looks like a bear trap! (Stupid, but good for decorating.)

He is a musician (myuu-ician) on YouTube. All his music is free and he allows its use as long ash his name is on the final product. I have no interest in making music, it's not my thing. And I have used Elegy music before.

I was doing the music and sounds but I was procrastinating really bad. And the we got a new music guy and it pissed me off because that meant all of my previous work was fully scrapped. All that work for nothing. And I had some good songs too! Not all but some! And I was pissed and left.
Dony keeps trying to get music without securing permissions first. Luckily I'm here- neither of those derps know a thing about copyright laws. XD
And Rascal, I was aware that Rux Ton was making music, and you were finding music. I was asking how come they didn't use both his AND your musics. And don't worry, you're not the only one. I've been putting off making a compiled list of changes for forever now...
12 General Gameplay Tracks
12 Music Disk Tracks
6 Creative Mode Tracks
4 Nether Tracks
4 Main Menu Tracks
1 End Theme
1 Ender Dragon Fight Theme
1 End Poem Track
If you have any suggestions, don't hesitate to tell!

Time for music! I recommend putting the more ambient tracks in single player and the more piano ones in creative!
(end poem? To dark??? The end poem shouldn't be ambience or super slow. It should be captivating yet passable.
(End poem?)
(Menu music? Jk jk)
(This is great for the menu!)
(I set Collapse as the menu music last time. Worked amazing. Gave it a desolate feel.)
(I feel this is more horror)
(Also menu. Nothing else. Felt weird wandering with this)
(Somehow I had set Bad Encounter as the song that always played at sunset. Really creepy to wait for the mobs.)
(This song is perfect for survival. Sad, desolate, a wandering song. You should listen to it while playing the flash game 'my father's long long legs'. One of my fave songs)
(Another good survival song.
(To dark??? Maybe nether or end? Menu? Either way the guy looks like nick cage.
(****ING BEST SONG PLZ USE THIS! GREAT SAD AND DESOLATE FEEL. HIS BEST WORK!)
From Myuuji, I really like Wasteland Wonderland and especially Troublemaker Theme. I've also come up with several for Music Disks.
You also have to remember- these will play in survival. Not just in someone's custom map, but in a regular vanilla world using this pack. The music needs to be fitting throughout usage. It's tricky for me sometimes.
I'm not a huge fan of a sad soundtrack. I firmly think that the pack is just as much about hope and recovery as it is about the fall itself. There should be some music that's lighter than sad pianos and ambiance. (Hence why I suggest Elegy's Indian Summer Leafes. Very nostalgic.)

Oh I'm an not all for the hope aspect of the end of the world. I've got a pretty grim outlook on life so when I imagine the apocalypse, I think it's the point of no return.
I appreciate the material. A lot of suggestions obviously means more to choose from.
I like the kind of apocalypse you see in The Last of Us. Despite how terrible the world has become, people are still trying to survive. It's "The End is Extremely Nigh", not "The End is Here, Die Now Mothertruckers!"

Yeah I still think there should still be hope, just humanity is on its last legs. But can you please use Collapse for the menu, Disintegrating and Flowered Rust for single player Or the menu? That's all I ask.

Hey I see Dony is posting again, any luck finding the music for far?

For the Soundtrack, we need:
12 General Gameplay Tracks

1 End Theme
1 Ender Dragon Fight Theme
1 End Poem Track
If you have any suggestions, don't hesitate to tell!
Also, VOTE HERE FOR THE END'S GRAPHICAL THEME!!!! ----->http://poal.me/yye4gj
Ambiance: Each has 3 tracks.
(Forsaken works well. A good fallout 3 feel)
(Devour is good too!)

I forgot an ambient track.

Thanks for the other songs, Rascal. But what's that one for the 'far' disk called?
Hold on I figured it out, it's a sped up version of Lost World. You guys got cheap, didn't you.
I'm pretty sure that the "far" disk's song is just named "far"...
Flowered Rust and Disintegrating are both gonna make it in if I have any say in it.
I think Collapse is a good song for the menu. I'll recommend it.
