hey there. I've recently started doing some texture work, and I had an idea. I've decided to create an RPG Armor Pack series, including 3 resource packs, that only edit armor and a few weapons. There will be 3 packs; a Mage pack, a Knight pack, and a Thief pack. My thought is you will take these packs (whichever you want) and slap it on top of your preferred resource pack so that my armor textures (which are the only change) will overwrite the underneath pack. This is a 1.7 feature. However, you can just splice together the changes from my pack into any 1.6 pack of your choosing as well. I believe this technique works with 1.5 as well but that get's tricky, since the packs changed from Texture to Resource so I'm not sure how that would work out for you.
I'll post a handful of pictures here, but know that the link includes more. You can comment either here or on that forum, but I want to hear your thoughts! I want criticism, and I want suggestions on what to include! Nothing is final, so if you aren't a fan of something let me know and I'll change it.
The only two armors done so far are Gold and Diamond in the first pack: The Mage. Enjoy the pics, please leave a comment. Everyone has an opinion, I want to hear yours
What you've just seen are the Priest Armor (gold) and the Witchdoctor Armor (diamond). These are the start of the mage pack. Let me know what you're thinking
UPDATE: Feb 3rd - Iron armor aka Battlemage Armor!
Front, just LEG armor piece! aka Battlemage's Clothes!
Back of leg armor piece
Front of Leg, Boot, and chest armor piece
Back of full body armor
With Hood (the hardest part of the whole thing. Hoods and armor textures don't usually look good but i think i did ok...)

Thanks, good to hear some support, especially from a fellow North Carolinian. I'll work on the Mage armor a bit more today, might even finish that pack and move to the thief. I'm saving Knight for last since that's probably what most people will want to use and I want to hone my armor texture skills a bit more before tackling some unique knight armors.
Anyways, I know you want to see some progress, so you can follow the link here for more detail and more pictures -> http://stuzzcraft.org/forum/m/10233238/viewthread/10867373-fleas-rpg-armor-packs/page/1
