Well, I just got back from visiting family that lives far away; never goes too well and I don't have a computer there, so. I've been putting a lot of time into the pack to catch up, in a way.
With any luck, I should be able to finish my texture to-do list by the end of the day.
And finally, I'm sorry if you were looking forward to the items.png, but I'm not going to put any more consideration into it [besides tools, possibly] until the terrain.png is nice, and DONE.

And here is a screenshot. I have to say, out of boredom, I did vines and they really tie everything together. They were pretty much the last incredibly abundant tile to be completed, and now, I feel like I'm getting somewhere.

Edit: Ugh it's pissing me off.
Um... I would just add that in the code snippit; the only thing that is replaced is the LINK HERE and the LABELING TEXT HERE. You must keep the quotations that holster the LINK HERE. Also, there may need to be a space after the E in LABELING TEXT HERE, but no space before the L. Other than these few thoughts, it really should work. That is the exact code I have for my download.
EDIT: Sorry forgot. If need be, I will ALWAYS say... Google it.

Hey man, I know you're very busy and I'm glad you are because this is an awesome texture pack and I hope you're having fun doing it. But if I may ask, when are you going to finish the bricks texture? I just love bricks too much Also personally I think the emerald ore isn't blocky enough.
Personally I'm not the biggest fan of the emerald ore period. Nobody seems to have it just right for me, I think it would look nice with the john smith diamonds, shrunk down and made emerald-y.
Just wanted to let you know, your new poll still has votes from the old poll, so there are 270~ votes on looks to pixelated, which I'm sure they didn't vote for.
Damn, I remember viewing this texture pack when it was near it's birth. It's come so far, and yet it's still a WIP. Oh well, it looks really tough making a 64x texture pack. But I really like this texture pack. It looks AMAZING. It's like an upgraded Faithful 32x. But I'm not using it until it's completed. Y'know, so it doesn't make the missing textures clash. But I still support this. Amazing texture pack. Keep on keeping on, sir!
how much more besides mobs and items that need to be done
So far, I think that I need to add the GUI for the achievements, the armor, all environment textures, the remaining font textures, most of the GUI files including the items.png, some of the viewing details like maps and map icons, all mobs, and some other things in the title, terrain, and misc folders. ^.^

Sir, I think that the brick texture is on the top of my to-do list, actually. It just is too abundant a block to not be done. As for the emerald ore. It's very difficult to work with. The original is like four pixels. And I'm just moldingit into a roundish shape and adding a square-like component to the middle to give it an appearance like a gemstone. Even then, it's not the best completely.

Damn, now I need to place all of those one by one to keep the 32x placeholders Matt made :/ Also I hope you are doing animated water soon, because Vattic's water isn't animated and it looks kinda crappy... And I'm still waiting to see your chests
And about the gravel texture, I think you should focus on the textures that haven't got a 64x one yet.
I will create a 64x version of water and eventually when I have the unlimited amounts of time to not only hand make, pixel by pixel, but also perfect an animation of 64x water. Which is excruciatingly difficult unless I have a program to help me do so...
And one more thing. If I could eventually, after the completion of this as a whole. Would it be cool to add an "anim" folder in the pack and animate other blocks other than the water and lava? I could add a shine to the ores, a sparkle to the emeralds. Maybe a fluctuation of brightness on the glowstone, y'know, like simple things. But cool little things around the edges...
