R3D.CRAFT, pronounced Red Craft or R-3-D Craft, is a high-res texture pack that can be applied to the game, Minecraft. Based on the default texture that comes along with this game, R3D.CRAFT enhances the missing realism, with high quality textures, smoother colortransitions, smooth shapes, shadows, lighting, missing details + so much more.

As the update speed is very slow, I have created the missing textures and modified some of the textures. This is just an addon as I am not allowed to modify the whole pack and upload it. As of 1.7 you can select more than one resource pack, you can just select the original pack, then overlay this addon on top of it. This addon is not completed yet and please stay tuned for more updates!

I would love it if you could make the pack in higher resolutions such as 256x and 512x. I also whole-heartedly agree with the reply above this.

You didn't add depth, you didn't encrust photorealistic textures like he did, it just looks like you imported the default textures, resized them and added noise, no more, no less.

You should work it a bit more, imo it shouldn't be that hard to make textures that look like the ones coming from the pack. I don't mean textures as good as these, but at least blending in with the pack.

That's really nice and needed. I hope you got permission to continue the work though, I would have expected to see something about that in the description.

Also, I was hoping you could make a default realism version of glass that looks more like vanilla glass. Both smooth and default realism have this mostly transparent glass that is really nothing like vanilla Minecraft.

Thanks! Yes I did get permission from Thomas, it's in the 'Permission' section. Sure, I will try my best on making textures for the glass and stained glass.

Thanks! The glass textures in Minecraft still have pixels on them, but both smooth and default realism only have a bit of a line on the edge of each texture. It's AFAIK the only texture that is completely different.

Here's the current glass texture that I made after I finished ALL the flowers. I actually have no idea what the patterns in the middle mean thought because it doesn't really resemble anything in real life.

It would be nice if the pack.mcmeta files referenced the correct resolution, and perhaps also said "Addon".

it would be cool if this pack had its own custom shader pack with it, like optifine users by default have shaders with it, so using the R3Dcraft texture pack with its own shader pack for lighting effects would be amazing! i have seen texture packs that actually work like a shader pack with optifine without enabling a shader itself, an example of what i mean are the batter clouds/dramatic skies packs. this would be super cool as i love the high def textures of this pack and shaders... ( i suggest this cus using the super hd packs without shaders hurts my fps hard, and with shaders but not the high def r3dcraft packs my fps drops too, so r3dcraft in like 1080p res + sues ultra no blur = like 2 fps xD) i just think lighting affects like shaders would be cool( i think thats out for the smooth realism but i like the default realism which doesn't have one)

the pixel likes in the glass texture are supposed to be streaked or something, or maybe just so the glass doesn't look like a line on the edges and an empty senter

Does anyone have the the old Default Realism R3D Craft texturepack? If I download the current default realism one it looks like it has too much noise and doesn't match the old style

Thanks for the reply! Do you take requests at all? I was just wondering if you could make oak, spruce, birch, and jungle planks in your style. I prefer the ones you made over the old ones found in the orignal R3D Craft pack. I'd rather them all look alike than different

I was wondering if you would be updating the pack to 1.10 as it adds only a few new blocks. And since 1.11 came out do you have plans to update to that as well?
