A while back, there was a brief discussion about how Optifine's mipmapping blurs texture resolutions that aren't powers of 2 (in this case, it was 24x).
I don't know how long it's been like this for, but I just discovered that Minecraft no longer supports textures with resolutions that aren't powers of two
The textures below have a resolution of x24, and have been automatically scaled up to a blurry x32.
EDIT: It's Optifine, which I only started using recently, not Minecraft itself.
The problem is still there in Optifine's current version. Is there any hope of getting this fixed, or will I have to tell everyone to turn off mipmapping for 24x items when I release my pack?
good morning congratulation for yours creations! please could you put the download link from your pumpkin and web couse
I would love do have it. thank you,theozove[/pre]
Looks fantastic, Fishy. Really the only thing I would say is the text going off the edge is a bit irksome, but it works out. What are you thinking of for the font (if anything)?
On another note, this thread is close to 2,000,000 views. Let's get it up there!

I've fixed it mostly, some text still goes over the edge but it looks better.

Who are you talking to? Who pumpkin texture do you want?
Plus you can get any texture from their texture pack. It is really not that hard to open a .zip file.
I feel like there are too many yellows? Maybe I'm hallucinating, but they seem to take up about half the palette. Otherwise, you're on the right track, but some hue-shifting could reduce the number of shades you need (i.e. a bluer shadow or yellower highlight in a ramp). I'm at a loss as to how you would organize them. It looks like there are too many dark blacks, when they're hardly distinguishable.

I've never used a palette, but IMO you are lacking in oranges and browns, which you need for planks and logs. The closest I see are light reds and dark yellows, but nothing in the middle.
There are just way too many colours in total, IMO. Having 3 greeny ramps and 3 pinky ramps seems way too excessive, for example. There are also far more near-blacks and near-whites than you will ever need.
There's also no strong blues (like, #0000FF blues), which isn't necessarily bad, but may result in things like lapis looking weird.
It's also important to remember that the ramps don't exist in a vacuum. If they're part of one palette, they have to all work together, and by extension, each individual colour should work with every other. This is hard to manage with such large palettes, but should still be attempted.
You can include an optional changelog with the new file upload showing the updates.
Then you have the option to keep the old download or remove it. If you are updating within the same Minecraft version, I would delete the old file. However, some packs have resource/texture pack downloads meant to work on different Minecraft versions, so they offer older downloads.
Did anyone order a melon?
I released my pack, I'm now calling it "Unnatural State": http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/resource-packs/2755923-unnatural-state-has-technology-gone-too-far

You will probably have to tell everyone to turn it off.
Optifine is great, but they dont listen to people that often

Making villagers

What villagers? It's so dark I can barely see them!
But from what I can see, looking good! Is there some inspiration from the Terminator happening here?
So how is this new program different from the original Cubik? Is it worth ~$20? Looks very interesting...

Radiant Pixels - Vibrant, Colorful and Eye-Pleasing Resource Pack
You could probably cut half of the colours from most of those and it would be fine. Seems like you have too many colours.

Streaminghow do you actually update a pack on Curse
You have to go to the project page of your pack ( https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/yourpack ) and upload a new updated file.
