Hello everybody! It's been a while, and I haven't done much texturing in forever. I've been really envious how everyone's skills have improved, and KrisCrash's models have my head spinning.
So I decided to make a plank!
What do you all think? It's 64x. I'm thinking of remaking my old pack, Evergreen, which I never finished, in 64x, with some adjustments to palette and style.
Go easy on the scaling q:
Right now the pattern looks like some kind of zebra skin. Maybe include more highlights/shadows around and make it a bit more noisy. Edges are good, though perhaps use shadow rather than highlights at the bottom of the planks
I'm not a big fan of the colour. I feel like the main colour is too green. The patterns do seem a bit over done, but maybe better colours would make the texture look better.
I'm currently going for a bright pixel art look, similar to Siikikala's Vividian and Steelfeathers' Pixel Daydreams; would you say that my colours are too desaturated?

I really like the look of it so far - the birch log and planks especially catch my eye. I think the saturation is fine for now, but some of the more colourful blocks aren't represented here - do you have a palette?
So random question, I found a way to play adventurecraft, and started to replay old maps, some of them got my interest, and (funny enough, one made me nope the f- out of there and give up, because I curled up in a ball of dear gawd why the monsters), I'm working on remaking certain maps' textures to make them suit their respective themes more, would anyone want to see that?

Jingle bells, decay and fails
The adventurers all died of fright.
Dungeons night, was never right
When the lich came in a sleigh.

All I've got at the moment is my basic browns and grays, and the green ramp for grass/lime wool. I ended up boosting the saturation a little bit.

Looks really nice! The cobble lacks a bit of the depth of the other textures there but it's still very nice. Good colour choices too.

Looks sweet, kinda reminds me of the Minish Cap.
Separate Topic:
I was thinking of making a pack that changes the lighting at night to be pitch black like in alpha, but I don't have the time to do resource packs any more, so uh, I thought it would be a cool idea that someone else could use in their pack. Ye.
Fishy and Meapers, those textures are amazing. Ödslighet looks like it'll be a fantastic RP pack - The hammer and tongs on the display are a nice touch. Meapers, I can't even understand how people can do CTM for 64x (is it CTM? it looks like CTM) -- it's so much work, especially with pixel art.
I've made some more planks. The last ones I did aren't changing - I like them the way they are... maybe the colours could change slightly, but the pattern is fine from my POV.

Just put out Visibility for 1.10x
I'm happy with how the bear turned out, even though it is pretty simple.

@Crimso
Looking awesome! Love everything.
Hello, I am back I guess?? (wow 3 days since the last post )
Not the best pictures I know lol, just wanted to show that I'm not dead or whatever, still working on this pack.
Might release a WIP download pretty soon after I get the terrain finished. Not all textures are final.
Crafting table for Ödslighet.
It's great to see you guys back! Everything is looking awesome
And Meapers, I'm loving that new profile picture

I love those planks! I think it looks really good! IMO, I prefer this texture over the other wood texture you showed. Great job
