Sweet. You're welcome to steal my models. If not, go to Blockstates and set UV-lock to false, or UV'ing the fence bars is going to be a nightmare as they'll change for each rotation. At least fences are only made of 2 models in 1.9.
Oh yeah, I managed to turn doors into one model instead of top+bottom, which simplifies my life a LOT. I still need to have a tiny hidden model for the top, I don't know if that can be avoided (probably blockstates again)?
... and then I started writing lore for the mysterious Ender-seeking cults who built the strongholds.
Would you be willing to let... all of us steal those fence models? I'd love to have fence models that are mapped to a single texture. Right now I'm using separate files for top, side, and alt side, so... 18 textures when I could be using 6.
My internet didn't work yesterday so I got turned into an Alex. Textured them both a bit and I wont see the result until my internet breaks again so I had to test in Maya. Gonna have to think of some fun outfits, maybe a knight and an astronaut? In progress. Pixel afro pending. Wish we could've HD skins normally ;O
I'd move the thumbs one px inward and extend the middle finger by one px. Looking good otherwise!
I hereby give member of the TAU, that is, minecraftforum.net texture artists posting in the TAU thread, permission to use the .JSON models included in Aedena pack and Pink Lavaland's Blockstates and Models\Block folders* under the following conditions:
-snip-
This just gave me an idea. What if we all had an open source model pack that anyone can use in their resource packs and/or contribute to? Has this been discussed before?
Also I am starting to update Marvelouscraft and reworked all of the End Texutes to fit a new colosheme. I also added the purpur blocks and grass path. You can download the new Version onCurse.com, just chose the 1.7 beta. Keep in mind that the GUI is a total mess and there are a lot of missing textures, still.
Posting on the TAU for maximum critique-getting power.
Enjoy... or not. But let me know either way.
Nice color harmony with the purple and green.
My first impression is that the purple blocks are *really* noisy and contrasty. I'm not a fan of the lo-fi retro look, but this seem rather excessive, trying to adjust for that bias.
And a couple more textures for Marvelouscraft Beet and the shulker.
As for the clock and compass faces: they are basically 64 different images for all the positions. I miss the time when it where two images^^ Sadly the variant does not work anymore as well.
I don't know if anyone remembers calmere nightmare (an adventure map from 2011) But I decided to work on a personal project (until I get my photoshop license back) (It's a fan re-creation of calmere nightmare using the new updates and stuff to make the map better and longer) Although its going to be remade from scratch and instead of three episodic pieces, it'll be 2 pieces)
so far the blocks that I've worked on for the map's custom pack, colours were pulled from the old terrain.png (its's from painterly pack) I'm going to overhaul the whole map pack, so none of rhodox's textures are present in the pack, the only thing is the colours are used
Don't mind the poorly built house, its only for testing anyways
I really do like the stone blocks, except for the grey bricks on the roof. The log is fine but the wood planks looks a bit off. It just doesn't work for me. I personally think it's the colour and the shading could be a lot better IMO.

Looks pretty good, but I think you should tone down the contrast of that sand a bit so it doesn't stand out as much.
Quick question: what do I need to do to make my texture packs stop showing up as "out of date" in 1.9?
Open the pack.mcmeta file and change the pack_format to "2".
That worked, thanks.

Awesome work! Everything looks so pleasing.
I'm going to add a little something to spice up my block item models: outlines!
It's mostly to make blocks stand out more, especially in inventories. It also looks really interesting and cartoonish.
That looks nice Ringoster. Nice idea!
Woah. The outlines look nice!

I agree with eleazzaar, they're just a bit *too* noisy. Maybe tone down on the amount of white speckles in the blocks just a little.
I've always found this post helpful with that:

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..

Visibility for 1.9. I was amused that this accidentially came out with a really strong star-wars vibe:

Some new textures; haven't done anything in a very long time!
Ended up looking too much like R3Dcraft. Any ideas?
