I am guessing that one needs to be a member of TAU to be included in the skype chat, is that correct?

Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are you.
The roses are wilted, the violets are dead, the sugar bowl's empty, and so is your head.
Did you know there's an IRC chat on the forum, and you can join #tau? I don't think people use it though, probably all the traffic comes from the off-topic section of the forum. Also about future updates, all I play Minecraft for is as solely a building game (creative mode/classic mode).
I dun really know how Carpenter's works but from reading the OP, it doesn't look to be the same. Chisel is about being able to have a a bunch of variant textures for the same block that you can pick from and have them all still be the same block, mechanically.
Carpenter's looks more like being able to shape a block? Not sure, though. Hopefully my description of Chisel will help you answer the question, though.
Any reason you haven't removed the random rotation on stone? It looks kind of weird with a randomly changing light source and lining up on some places.
Yeah, which part?
The part where I said my interest level in Minecraft was pretty much dead already (because of current survival mechanics), or that Microsoft already has a bad track record with buying and ruining game companies for a profit and I didn't say that would happen, but it's something I'd rather not sit through and experience?
Or maybe that I started playing early on in the game (Beta 1.2_02) where it was mainly just NOTCH running the show, and it was more focused on the players of a much more specific demographic (think about the people who made the game popular, programmers/networkers, which is where I heard about the game from), versus the new target demographic being children (as they are the most profitable) and now now ran by Microsoft, driven by shareholders and profits. Simply put, Microsoft does NOT have my interests in mind, and they likely see the cost of other platforms (Linux particularly, due to low market share) as "not worth the upkeep".
Lastly, I don't get where you'd get "overreacting" from. I didn't say Minecraft was is already dead, or that others should quit now. I was simply saying a personal goodbye to this community. My interest was already waning (to the point it seemed more of a detractor than anything) and I now have a hobby to take place of texturing that not only is creative, but has tangible results. Heck, I'm designing stuff to print, it's more like 2 hobbies in one.
If you're comfortable with the MS buyout for whatever reason, good on you, but that doesn't work for me. If {going from listening to the "freedom rants" of the creator of the game, and a "just make something creative and original" attitude, to abandoning his values for cash and selling his indie company to one of the biggest giant companies (which I admit, I don't like) there is} isn't enough to make me not want anything to do with a game and community (which, I was not really currently interested in) anymore, I don't know what is. If Mojang was bought by a company that seems like it has a little more compassion and understanding for its user base, such as Valve, I would have 100% put up with it and drudged through doing art for a game I don't even play anymore, and I would be hopeful things might improve. If they'd sold to EA, Apple, or Sony we'd be having this same conversation, as well.
TL;DR: People saying, "you're making a decision too soon, don't quit now!" don't seem to realize that maybe those of us quitting weren't 100% satisfied with the game, or 100% engaged into the community. People also have predispositions to certain companies based on not only their products, but also that company's conduct, motivation, and previous related moves. To say that those who use this as a "severance of ties" shouldn't be doing so is a bit out-of-touch. It's not like I screamed it was over for everybody when the news hit, and then proceeded to delete all of my content before anything was even announced....

Looking nice! I especially like the stone bricks. I think stone needs some antialiasing, though.

Chisel add a chisel that you can right-click with to open a ui. You can put different kinds of blocks (stone, iron, lapis, redstone, etc.) into the ui slot and convert them into variants of themselves. Sorta like using a TConstruct chisel to make fancy/brick/paved/etc. versions of blocks, only the chisel never wears out, so the block conversion is totally free.
Carpenter's Blocks lets you build different 'Carpenter' blocks, which start with a basic wooden texture, but can take the texture of any block you right-click on them with (for example, carpenter's stairs + diamond block= diamond stairs. Only downside is that it consumes the block you use, and it doesn't retain the material/hardness of the block). Basically, you can make stairs, fences, doors, beds, ladders, 45-degree slopes(!), etc. out of whatever material you want.
Also, Chisel has a really clever CTM type that lets things like carpet connect to eachother from all angles, like the full CTM method we usually use for glass, but only using a

It would be because I forgot to do that step, whoops eh?
More progress
Turned off random models for now: all of the overworld ores in one pic Iron stuff: Iron block, trapdoor, pressure plate, hoppers and cauldron
Prophecy, those textures look really meat. The only thing I have is the stone looks a little odd with the stones and shading. Too dark for my liking. But it works with the pack I guess. The lapis looks a little odd as well.

I was wondering, since I'd love to, how do I go about becoming a TAU Member? Is it closed or is it still open for new people?

Edit: I need to stop cursing so much..
If Microsoft ruins Minecraft, they lose TONS of money. Simple as that. Also, new wood for Polynesian.
Second, would someone like to do screenshots for me? tell me if so.
