It looks better to me. I know you've got some shading on the bottom face of each brick as well. Perhaps try bringing that out a bit more as well? Not as much as the spacing between each brick of course.
*And Meringue's in for the save!*
Also very nicely done on the new leaves!
I also gone and done something drastic, redone my chests on Chromatose;
Trying to pull a display case so I'm figuring on calling the sides of the top there oneway glass XD
Figured I should considering that I just got my Enderchest done too.

The new ones look really good, what's your plans on the Mossy?
I'm am probably going to do what I normally do for mossy, because I'm bad with moss. I just add a greenish tint to the space and add some around the edges of the bricks. Though I may experiment...

That is really interesting! It makes me want to do something unique with my chests. Make a glass cabinet or something...

You mean the light line across the bottom of the face? I could see what it would look like, but I don't want to go overboard or it will look like a bevelled edge. It is just supposed to be the subtle lighting you would see on back edges.

Haha, that's true. Thinking of it now, I was probably subconsciously going for a bevel thing. So scratch that, don't do it.
Gais. It's my nineteenth birthday today, and I got a Creeper plushie. He is cute, and his name is Carl, and he hugs people, and he goes sssssBOOM. I love him.
I've taken a shot at Dirt (It took so loooong! D:)
What are your thoughts?
The smaller ones are nice. But those big clumps you've got really make it tile badly. Other than that, it seems really soft and smooth (almost like river rocks). I'd rough it up a bit.

I like them, but it looks rather strange having the metal corners be transparent from the inside.

Made a skin.
It's for the planet minecraft contest.. the God of the Prairie. The offspring of a man and a lion. Picture is a link
the mane is terrible i know. but whatever.
I like it, but I think it would benefit from higher contrast.
Erg.. This is pretty off-topic, but I can't even really texture any more because of this issue. I got Windows Vista with CPU usage at near constant 100% because of WmiPrvSe.exe (WMI Provider Host). I've tried looking on Google about this issue, and no one else seems to be having this issue on Vista, just windows 7& 8.
I'm not going to go further into it, because it's extremely off topic, but I can't texture or play any games, I can hardly watch youtube without things freezing up... So I'll still try to pop up in this section, but it's a bit iffy until I can get this problem fixed. If anyone else knows anything about this, a PM would really be appreciated.
I left the forum a few months ago, it's pretty shameful to see the same 3 texture packs are still the only thing people give attention.
looking at this thread, it's recycling of the same similar textures. this part of the forum seriously needs to branch out their meta of making textures..

Um... Excuse me? Tons of different packs are popular. If i'm missing something please tell me.
I was kind of thinking that way myself. I'm not sure of it looking bevelled, but I feel, for some reason, like A has a slight bit of a cartoony look somehow. I think I'll still remake it, because I'm not that happy with B, at least, not as happy with it as I want to be, but I will use that style, knowing now that the other style looks... weird.

Are you against making rougher textures for Definitance? I noticed that the textures you've shown so far seem to be sleek and almost like "newly paved", so to speak. No flaws anywhere. Maybe that'd give the brick some character?

When I released the pack, I didn't decide on a theme to describe the style, but later on, I looked at all the textures and settled on "modern semi-realism". It isn't too much of either, but is still more modern in theme, so I am not really against rough textures, but I am more trying to keep the textures kind-of relatively smooth-ish. Those last stone bricks, I would hardly call sleek, and it has flaws, in fact, it uses my raw stone texture, so I wouldn't say that about all the textures. But the textures that wouldn't be that rough normally, won't be very rough at all in my pack, since it is semi-modern. Bricks are, in reality, a very refined material, so they would look kind-of "newly paved". I get a bit of inspiration for my textures from the small town near where I live, since that is about the setting I'm going for (outback in today's modern world), but a few buildings here actually painted their bricks, so I may have an off idea.
Now that I look at it, I actually agree. (Darn you! I can't unsee that now! )
I guess it's because of the default-ish colour scheme and style, with more contrast. Two things that are in most of SixtyGig. Luckily, I won't be in breach of copyright or anything, because that's not the style I'm going with.

This is the result of two times I was consumed by the bevelled edge idea:
So yeah, I think I'll move on to brick now.

Improved from the original:
Which is better?
A:
or B:
Or should I redo them again?
