can you guys please give me a quick bit of help?
i cant seem to get a splash text to work on my website im producing could i have the code for yours?(the splash text not the website)
I'm still hoping that the front page can be used to track developments in your favorite packs so it will display new textures (updated textures, if you ever add that).
I have a series of 256x Gui textures (container, crafting, furnace, inventory, trap) and when I upload them by filename they do that "shrinking" icon thing on the customizer page.
When I try to upload them by their proper names in the drop down list, I get
"container.png An error occured: Incorrect proportion 1. Expecting 0.79 (176/222)"
Chest Canopy: expecting dimensions:352x444 That's not right, is it?
Adding the new textures for vanilla by filename one at a time seemed to fix the issue, while uploading them in groups was the problem, I think.
These 3 textures are on the list, but "match no known images" when I try to post them with filename:
SC_ChemFurnaceCanopy
SC_NukeFurnaceCanopy
SC_SteamFurnaceCanopy
Edit(s):
That 'space' turning into '%20' thing is still happening, I think =]
What does the "automatic" option do for palette resolutions?
Edit: Hm, there's a little bug, the names can now all be changed, but when I add spaces between words, it creates 20% instead after saving. And this is not visible in the editing page.

1. One at a time with "by Filename" won't change anything. Every image gets uploaded and processed individually.
2. Those are only the texture names, not image names. Those are what WE named them. Upload them however they are named in your mod. You don't need to change names of images to upload.
3. Automatic option for those special palette resolutions just automatically determines the scale of the palette image by how big it is compared to how big the image is supposed to be. These are only needed if you have differently scaled images (not at your pack resolution) in those palettes.
I don't understand the new upload system. How do I upload stuff?
As far as in the actual uploader, all that I did was add that second dropdown list for mods. All it does is specify a preferred mod to choose from first if there are multiple images with the same name.
For instance, BabyAnimals has an image called wolf.png, but there is also an image in /mobs that has the name wolf.png. If you select BabyAnimals in the dropdown, then upload an image named wolf.png, it will know that you want to upload the BabyAnimals texture and not the texture normally found by default in the mobs folder. Note that I wrote "preferred", meaning that it only really forces a texture to be uploaded to that mod if it exists, otherwise it will find the name and matching texture accordingly.
Also, selecting a mod in that dropdown brings textures of that mod to the top of the texture dropdown to the left. Now, you can still use "by Filename" like normal, and I recommend always using "by Filename". But, it just brings those textures to the top for convenience sake.
To sum this all up.....The second dropdown value is only given any kind of attention where there is a palette image naming conflict (ex. wolf.png from Default and wolf.png from BabyAnimals). But it is also used as an easy interface sorting mechanism to scroll to textures of a specific mod easily.
Browse now defaults to "by recent popularity" which uses the number of downloads from last week. The old "by popularity" option has been renamed to "by overall popularity"

Thanks for the information. The issue turned out to be caused by my firewall.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Medieval builder and texture artists. Also totally awesome.
I don't see this solving the problem of the most popular packs staying at the top at all times.
Well that's the thing with popularity. Unless you want to regulate the market, you socialist!
In the interest of furthering your social cause, heres my first idea:
If a pack maintains the #1 position for some (longish) duration, it is moved to a permanent position in a hall of fame. The hall of fame has to be on equal footing with the browse button, cause otherwise you're punishing a pack for being popular. Which is not cool.

Hahaha. It's sorting by "popularity". The popular packs SHOULD be at the top. This just stops the top packs from gaining a monopoly on the top of the page. This makes it always possible for other packs to get up there.
A "New and Rising" option would be a good compliment but there is no reason to show unpopular packs at the top when sorting by Most Popular.

Well that's an embarrassing oversight- fixed.
Eventually. There's lots of stuff on my plate.

There isn't a new upload system, just a another page for easily tracking your textures' stats and editing the their descriptions.
When I click "browse files", "clear list" or "start upload" I just boop up to the top of the page. So I can't upload.
It's easy when it's possible to upload.
It really isn't difficult to use and I'd be happy to clear any confusions you have.

Okay phew thats a relief. Inconsistency across platforms is the worst.

Thoughts and recommendations are welcome.
(NOTE: this was just implemented today so Yesterday will be 0 and TodaySoFar will be quite low)

I feel like it should go back further than a week, but that's an innovative solution you've got there.
Kudos to you sir
