Tell me what you think? it might change the face of deviant-craft!Cheers! ;3
I think you need to post some pictures, is what I think. Nobody here is foolish enough to click a link without some proof that there's something on the other end besides a virus.
That aside, without pictures, I just don't care. It's not worth it to me to take the time to download and install a pack that if I have no indication as to the quality.
I don't get it, why people are unsure of how to construct a texture pack post, there is a reminder to read the rules when you post the topic and in those same rules there is a guide on how to post pictures right next to the very rule that says pictures are required.
"What you know best, you observe least." Everyone sees that, and just assumes they're familiar with it so they don't bother to check to make sure they're familiar with it. Basic human nature is kinda working against us here.

That... or in some cases simple laziness.
What I find amusing about all this is I've never, ever, even once, read a single rules page on this entire website.
I wouldn't even consider posting something without a screenshot, it's common darn'ed sense in my opinion. You're showing us your work, a key to that is to make it as easy on your viewers as possible.
Your pack is... really hit and miss. Sorry to say.
First, I like the bookshelves. They're simple... yet detailed. I like the overall gradient theme of the pack. It gives it enough definition that it doesn't fall into the ordinary "simple" category of lazy bucket-fills, but also gives it a light child-like feeling. This is most evident in that bookshelf texture, which is your best block IMO.
The problem is that you over-rely on it. Take what I'm assuming are your lapis blocks for instance. It's basically just one big gradient field with some borders. If you used the same technique you used for borders to add detail to the interior of the block face, the texture would look much less plain and be much more appealing to the eye.
The pack is also very inconsistent when it comes to tone and feel. The logs, for example, are very blurry. On the other hand, the planks are very crisp and sharp. The grass texture (which doesn't tile very well with that sharp line along one side) has a lot of little details and variations while the wool and doors are very flat and have no shading or gradation whatsoever.
Then there's the blatant re-color of the Minecraft logo. Please don't just recolor the default, it's lazy. Ditto for the horse armor. Make your own stuff, don't just edit someone else's.
Right now, this pack is half in and half out. Some of the block (like those bookshelves) make me want to scream "More of this!" While other blocks (like the blurry logs) make me want to shake my head and pass the entire pack off as another worthless n00b attempt.
You clearly have some potential for a decent pack here. There's enough here that I want to see the pack brought up to that standard and to be made consistent in its quality. Please, continue this pack. Just, you know, improve everything up to the quality of the bookshelves.
Thank You I was thinking the same thing a few moments ago, I enjoyed reading your constructive criticism and I'm planning on an update, I'm going to take my time from now on, by the way my current avatar is an actual texture from the pack

Good! I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Make everything look like that and you'll have yourself a pack. May not be the most critically acclaimed pack ever (obvious cloud filter is obvious), but it will at least be several steps above a normal 'simple' or bucket-fill pack.
Hey guys thanks for the feedback, I truly do appreciate it, this is my first attempt at texture packing, I for some reason got it in my head that a sprite designer should be able to do this without learning anything, that was a bust, thanks for the help.
I'm thinking of changing the bands on the hey bales to blue or green, I suppose I'll just figure it out later.
I'm kinda tired right now been up seance before dawn and it's getting late where I am.
I've been playing with connected textures While I think of how to deal with tiling errors, thought working with an auto-tile might peak a spark of inspiration

Minecraft wasn't working the day I decided to post, and as for the rules It slipped my mind, sorry I won't let it happen again.
And could someone move this to where it goes if they haven't already? I have no Idea how that would be done.
And again sorry for the n00b post.....
