Hello folks! For quite a long time I've been wanting to create my own texture pack, and I've finally got to actually do it. I'm doing this because it's fun, and because sometimes when you want something to look right, you end up doing it yourself.
I'll try and include all the mods Direwolf uses (hence the DW).
So far (actual as of 3:01 AM 12/4) what I've got done: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2.
As you can see, graphical glitches are still there, but I'll get to them soon!
Thanks for any feedback!

If you're talking about the animations, that's because you're making an HD texture pack, and you need to patch your Minecraft with MCpatcher for the animations to scale & align properly, as well as have custom fire/water/lava and other block animations.
Also you should redo cobble & similar so the rocks are uniformly sized and placed round stones, not big and small, lining up in a line. It makes it tile really bad otherwise.
Also, are those both iron blocks near the gold block? Or is one lapis lazuli block? Or is that not shown?

It’s the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out.
I’d rather be in, in a good system. That’s where my discontent comes from:
being forced to choose to stay outside.
My advice: Just keep movin’ straight ahead.
Every now and then you find yourself in a different place."

I did patch Minecraft for the HD textures, but it might've been overwritten at some point, so I'll do that again, thanks!
I thought about redoing cobble, as tiling doesn't match between the sides and the top, so good point!
Those are iron, gold and diamond blocks. I might have to use some symbolic to differentiate more between them, or increase the saturation so color is more visible.

I got really excited when I saw the name! Hence DWSkanska.
One thing I would recommend is working on the tiling of the wood block, in the top right hand corner it starts to get darker, but when it reaches the other block it stops. You need to make sure you know where the light source is coming from and that all the blocks fit together smoothly.
A good tiling job will mean it is hard to see here one block ends and where one begins, so it is one long smooth line.
Thanks! I'll work on fixing all the tiling issues when I got all the tiles done
Hard moving from high res graphics to little textures, I'll tell you that
(P.s. re-applying the HD patch didn't seem to help for some reason.)

Maybe it has something to do with the version of MC and your patcher.
