Revival is a 16x medieval fantasy pack. First started by SMP but left dormant for almost 3 years, The staff of Wolfia Server and I would like to present to you the rebirth of Revival. Many of the old textures have been revamped and new blocks have been re-skinned to fit in with the SMP style. Unfortunately since minecraft 1.7.2 we lost the ability to use metablock textures but we have been re-purposing some of those and reincorporating them back into this wonderful resourcepack!
Original Thread : https://goo.gl/CXXYnv Link shortened for convenience, no monetary gain for me, perhaps google gains something out of it idk.
Yes I know no derivatives; however I have been in direct contact with SMP and he has given me permission to update the resource.
I highly suggest that this pack be ran alongside of Optifine, not only will it expand your texture index it also expands the depth of each block by extending the textures to merge seamlessly between each other. MCPatcher (if that is still a thing) should theoretically work too; however no of us have tested it that was yet.
I know MCPatcher was the original frame work for the pack and optifine was originally told to be avoided; however, my team have combed through hundreds of files looking for coding errors and other various fixes and optifine does work now.

What is CTM? Words cannot do it justice, check out these pictures:

Did I mention how beautiful it can be with shaders added as well!?!?! Stunningly breathtaking.
About this pack
This is a kind of legacy support for the old resourcepack and an attempt to keep it updated enough to be usable while keeping to the theme of the old Revival pack. We could possibly change a few things over time but fear not, we will keep back ups of all the textures we produce and allow you the ability to keep what looks best to you. This is sort of an open source effort and we encourage anyone who is interested to produce your own textures to assist us in keeping the resources up to date. If you wish to do so you may contact me here on the forums or via email | [email protected] |
Proof of SMP's consent for me to continue updating this resourcepack.

We've been looking through the pack to see what missing textures we still have. The to-do list above is fairly accurate, although we now keep a list at our GitHub.
We could definitely use some contributions from anyone who is able to design in the Revival style and is willing to help! Please reply to this thread, look for us on our server (IP is WolfiaMC.com), or Skype (GalvinNerth or DOGC_Kyle).
GitHub automatically syncs up everyone's changes, and it's been the easiest way to collaborate on this pack.
To get to latest updates to the pack as they're made, first create an account on GitHub.com and then download GitHub Desktop at https://desktop.github.com/.
Clone the repository KyleNecrowolf/Revival, and set the local path to an empty folder in your resourcepacks folder (AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/resoucepacks/Revival). The pack will be downloaded and placed there. Every time you launch GitHub app, it will update your local copy of the pack with any changes made.
Here are some updated textures that will be in the pack, some are already there.
Some of the CTM and other textures that were being used previously but due to name changes have also been updated to show up in game now. Such as redstone. Expect a new update sometime soon; however, all of these changes are already on the GitHub.
Thank you SMP! Such an honor to have you post on the thread! Loved your work! Also if you ever wanna give me some hints on what inspired your style would love to hear about them!
Okay I am working very hard on the 1.12 update, but as a note... Mojang has literally blown my mind in more ways than one as I play with resources to update them and you need look no further than the Parrot textures -- who does that!?!?!? -- nevertheless I am well on my way to getting most of the basics done and ready for an update as soon as optifine is released for 1.12

I have been getting textures emailed to me from a few people and I am very excited to see what you all have made. I have been hard at work updating a lot of the gui and a few minor changes so a lot of this is just kind of minor details but they take a lot of playing with to get right...
The recipe guide is still a work in progress but it is nearly completed
The shulker boxes was a kind of odd one, since normal chests generate their own gui... but now shulker boxes have their own... so simple enough
Concrete, beds, and concrete powder are all done. I pretty much just recoloured everything here. Powder is sand recoloured and concrete is sandstone recoloured...
Hey! Nice job and good to know what's going on so I don't start to do (more) unnecessary duplicates and spam your email with them!
Will you be updating the github or is there another way to know what is not in the making already? I really have a burst going on (it's finally summer in Finland!) and enjoy doing this very much, it would be cool to be helpful!
Yes, I have pushed these out to the get hub under the branch called bigoleupdate to be merged later, but we have parrots and boats that I have not done anything to. Glazed Terra Cotta is also on my list of being very annoying.
Ok, I can take the boats to my burden, not gonna touch the Glazed Terracotta nor parrots since I can't do pixel art. Have fun with them, can sure believe they will be pain in the "butt".
And the changelog is under Commits: https://github.com/KyleNecrowolf/Revival/commits/master (btw, you can click on the <> next to any change to see what the pack looked like at that point in time, and download a zip if you'd like)
Although for the latest updates (and to easily upload your own changes), use these instructions to get a version of the pack that updates automatically:

I notice that for some textures (planks, cobble, and stone brick, for example) there's a noticeable seam between blocks with CTM enabled on the 1.12 version of the pack. Any idea what causes this and how to fix it?
Could you take a picture of the seam and post it here?
I think there is a dark plank texture that is buttressed occasionally against a lighter coloured on, this might be what you are seeing. I haven't been able to find any other seem except the occasional glitch of minecraft drawing the voxel (Blocks) too defined.

If you're just noticing it new on 1.12, take a screenshot with the debug screen on, and looking at the block (so all of its blockstate data is shown on the right, and system info/optifine on top).
The newest version of our continuation of SMP's Revival has been released, well as kyle posted last night it was available but I was unable to amend the post text with the new link. Please enjoy and if you happen to find any glitches or unusual quirks please take a screenshot and post it here for us to have a look at! Enjoy!

Some more pictures, all from the Realms of Wolfia:
All pictures use Revival with either Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders or Sildur's Vibrant Shaders. Personally I think Sildur's Vibrant looks great with the fantasy style of the pack.

The Fable series was a big inspiration.
Welllllllll, you know if you're gonna be round some... ❤ But definitely looking into that for some designs.
