I am looking forward to this. I adore your improved defualt pack and have been using for the last year. I appreciate your hard work and am glad to hear you'll be making a new one.
Hi. I believe I'm having a slight issue. I'm on 1.12.2 and I'm seeing sharp lines (not colored areas) between blocks. It pretty much only happens to blocks like cobblestone and obsidian. Other blocks seem fine so far. I'm using your pack (with the addons as well) and Faithful (and modded Faithful) for blocks/items that may or may not be covered. The Default Improved packs overwrite the Faithful packs. I'm also using SEUS Renewed 1.0.0 for my shaderpack. I've set POM to 32 for now, as 64 seems to give me those colored areas/lines (is this because I'm also using Faithful?). I thought it might have to do with antialiasing, but I've set those settings to application controlled and/or off in my GPU settings and off in my Minecraft client settings. Any help is much appreciated ^.^
Edit: I neglected to mention I've also set Parallax depth to 0.5 (the lowest setting). Perhaps this is the issue. I'm not sure how to set it lower.
Edit2: Just tried everything on a vanilla single player world (probably should've done that before posting). The issue is gone. Cobblestone and obsidian look as they should and bringing the POM texture resolution back to 64 doesn't display colored areas. The issue must be a mod interaction of some kind. I'm playing Project Ozone 3 for reference.
Edit3: After some more Google-fu, I've found someone with a similar issue. They've apparently narrowed it down to ExtraCells2. Hopefully this helps others with the same issue.
Edit4 (lol): So, playing with both Faithful and Default Improved with no mods (other than Optifine) doesn't reproduce the issue. Playing with both and EC2 does reproduce it. However, if I remove Faithful, the issue is gone even with EC2. So, I guess removing Faithful fixes it. I just want to keep the item resolution from it though :/

Edit5: Solved by switching to BSL shaders.
Is this a PBR pack?
