I am going to support the 1.7 Dalek Mod in the next release.
You did not explain why you want the Police Box removed on the basic TARDIS texture? It is hidden in almost all cases.
For your connected textures request I am slightly confused. I need some clarification. You want to build the 1970's Barry Newbery's TARDIS from blocks? I am very willing to add new ideas. If you could do me a favour and take a screenshot of the shape in vanilla blocks I will do what I can. Is the 3x1x1 change connected to this idea?
THANK YU! I tried to do it but the tardis lamps and 2005 roundels swaped textures... As for the defaule texture of the TARDIS, if you use the TARDIS Command Block A, you will see why! The classic exterior for the DM is just as most people know of the black or blue sign, and not the 1st doctor one. And the 3x1x1 is the only ctm request. Shown as --- (-=stone slab) and allow for a longer varient of the TARDIS Roof without getting rid of the blue walls on it. And the 3 to 3-5 is the sonic screwdriver stone sword and the sonic screwdriver from the mod. I just think (from things ive heard in the internet) that Tom Baker is the most known classic doctor, and Jon isnt so prominant. And please dont say "Sonic Screwdriver - Iron Sword", please just have the start!!!!! It is annoying for me, and i am like you but i prefer paint.net
Thanks!!!
P.S. I wrote the first post in a hurry in the moddle of the night (AUSIE AUSIE AUSIE)
I cannot tell you, which is better Paint.Net or Gimp. I like Gimp because it is simple and clean, yet very well supported. I have Asperger's and clutter is a real problem for me. I brought up both PDN and Photoshop and found them too much; too distracting, too much on the screen, too many things competing for my attention. (Imagine my difficulty with Adfly!). Gimp, from the box, was more to my taste. I have cleaned it up further using the options and customisation features. I am certain PDN and Photoshop have the same features and could be made Aspy friendly but I am now a Gimp fan.
The advice is find a graphics editor that matches your personality and learn it well. All editors mentioned above are fantastic. Each has quirks but each also has all capability you need to make great texture packs. BTW, the "learn it well" part is important. Many good artist have proceeded us and there are so many excellent tools and add-ons. Know your tool it make the experiece so much more fun.
My most recent post explains this, and i ment middle, not moddle, and also if u need more clarifacation, just open a private message thingie with you and me.

I don't understand yet. I like the Police Box on it. I will remove it if the reason is good.

Cool, I get what you would want in a 3x1x1 and I am sure you want 1x3x1 too, in CTM the two are different. I will include it in the next release.

I like the yellow and black of Pertwee's Sonic. You prefer the simpler red orbit and silver Baker Sonic? I'll change the DM sonic to the 4th Doctor's sonic in the next release. The new name with the "- Stone sword" was a request by a vanilla user. They could not figure out how to craft the sonic without the name as a hint. I need to leave it.

(koo-star-neek) The real numbers are countable and I CAN prove it. Cantor was wrong!

When I refered to the classic i ment the door signs, they should be 2-5(?) instead of 1 as most people know of the blue or black signs in the classic, and the interior is the 2-7 one, soooo yeah. And the police box sign is no longer relevant . They have remived command block A, so no purpose to that
THANK YOU!!!!!! THAT WOULD BE (as the Donna-Doctor metacrises would say) BLOODY BRILLIANT!!! And i cant wait to see it
OK. And thanks for the updated DM, as it is accually thee forth is you hold it, and three as a sprite... And could you atleast make another version of the pack without? I tried to change it and ended up with a gold sword saying something like "=Sonic Screwdriveritem.stonesword.name=Sonic Screwdriver" ingame!!! I cant wait for 1.7!!! If you some command block textures, just ask and ill send them to you (C, D, E, G, H). Note that C is a smaller version of 10's, but with different textures.
I thought I would give you a teaser. I am working hard with the SWD Team to create The Doctor Dalek Mod support. Below is the Scientist Dalek prototype. I am working hard to deliver the high quality textures you have come to expect from The Doctor. I am having great fun doing it.

I am planning on adding faithful 32 x 32 support to the Dalek mod, but I am a little overwhelmed. I use paint.net for texture development, but there is so much to work on texture wise. Also is there any general advice on making high quality textures such as yours?
I had an idea about 9:40pm aest, and thought it would be very useful. The glass should be able to remove boarders shared with other glass blocks. E.G. A stack of glass has the top/bottom of blocks change to glass colour and make a new time-rotor like thing. Another idea is that beacons have a small split through the centre, like a 2005 time-rotor centre without the line bit that has the beacon beams housed inside. I believe that the traveling tardis pack has what i mean.

The best advice I can give is get a good editor and become familiar will the little tools. I use and love gimp. The other is look at the ideas of lighting in art theory. My textures have improved amazingly because of these two things.

Thank you for the advice. I will try to find information on the internet about those ideas. In the meantime, I will look at the help topics to learn the functionality of all the tools.

I forgot an important one, have fun! If you are enjoying making your art it will show.

Isn`t that true about all art in general? I do sci-fi sketches in real-life, so I would figure that does assist. (After all my friends find my artwork great from both an artistic and scientific standpoint.) Also how can I get critiques on the individual textures themselves?(Once I finish the the items and work on some of the blocks that is.)

My best commentary comes from fans of the genre I am working in. As is obvious here, the Dalek Mod community is invaluable to the evolution of The Doctor. So find the community for which your pack is intended. Next is find mentors to help. Axel and Balduran were my mentors providing good solid commentary on my concepts. I loved their work and approached them, they were terribly gracious. It does not hurt to ask and I think you will find the MCForums cadre very supportive.

Oh my God! I love what you did with the Stone Slabs when you double them and everything! That is beautiful!
And I also love how the Iron Blocks work now. What do the iron blocks create when you make a wall with them?

Thank you very much. The next release will have some more cool stuff. I am working on a Pandorica enderchest. It is final trials and I hope it is good enough. Also cybermats and cybermites are coming. Plus the Key to Time is making an appearance.
The Iron Blocks connected textures are Biome specific. They are for Gallifrey in the Dalek Mod. They make the Citadel look great. I could not find any closeups of the Citadel so I made a Chysler-esque building.
By the way I accept ideas if I can do it. So feel free.

Good idea. I make it and post it in the OP.
Thanks, I am using damage indicators mod and want to rename each mob.
Would it help if I updated the lang file in the texture pack with the names?
Yes actually, that would be helpful.
